Teatro che ha una storia nel centro di Venezia ,prima di questo c’era la casa di Marco Polo,il locale è carino anche se ha bisogno di un restailin ma ha una buona acustica noi abbiamo avuto il piacere di assistere al musicol Casanova con le musiche di Red Canzian,bellissimo spettacolo ,merita di essere visto attraverso uno spettacolo

We thought we'd go to the Malibran because it was connected to La Fenice plus it was an interesting building with a fascinating history. The Cologne dance troupe were unknown to us and it was not possible to get any additional information about the content however we would be in Venice, going to a historic theatre and saw there were seats available, the back two of four in a 'private' box close to the stage at a very reasonable price. Superb we thought! Wrong!! When we were eventually allowed inside, there was no information telling us how to find a way to the boxes. We found and asked a chap who led us along a corridor to one of the interesting looking doors. When he tried to unlock it, it wouldn't, so he wiggled and rattled the key for quite some time - so much so that I thought we would have to be seated elsewhere. He said in Italian that he knew he had the right key because he'd opened it earlier. Eventually his jangling efforts paid off but when the door opened, we saw the size of the box and our two designated seats. We were very concerned to say the least. If the two people who had booked the front two seats of this tiny space were even normal sized we would be very cramped indeed. There was NO WAY at all that the stage could be seen from the seats we had booked. I decided I would see at least some of the stage if i STOOD so my wife could move her chair into where mine would have been. The other modestly sized couple arrived and took their seats though there was absolutely no chance of my wife seeing even a quarter of the stage. The performance began but the two young dancers were so far back on the stage that my wife literally couldn't see any of it unless she leant over into where I was already standing - and, even then, only when they 'danced' into view. I kept saying "Can you see?" Eventually she said "All I want to. They are awful!" Two scruffily clad youngsters, seeming to us to be under rehearsed and making no sense with their repetitive contortions. At various times they were twitching around on the stage floor as if they were having an epileptic seizure. At one point the girl was tugging the male around by his hair in some sort of domestic abuse move which was neither informative nor edifying. The woman in the front seat of our box laid her head on her partners knee and went to sleep. Even though the view was more unimpeded then for my wife and our seats were as far forward as it was possible to be, neither of us could see much of the performance. By that time, we were so bored with what we COULD see that we didn't WANT to see. At the interval, the other couple stood up and without a word, left. Good decision. We didn't think we could stand much more of it even if we had unrestricted views now so we left too. What an utter waste of money! Selling four tickets for seats in a box that size was ridiculous. The 'performance' was not even as accomplished as any street performers and whoever paid money to book them and bring the troupe to Venice was either misled, misguided or had more money than sense. The troupe were abysmal and the Teatro Malibran has no right to be selling tickets to seats from which the performance can not even been seen.

It was once the home of Marco Polo. Can see tour guides on walking tours bring their entourage to view the place. Once the famous singer, Malibran, sang the La Sonnambula here and the theatre had taken her name. It is stated that she was appalled at the condition of the theatre that she refused her singing fee, instead telling the management to use the fee for the theatre.

We were there to see a Daniel Cohen concert (with orchestra). We were in one of the side boxes, on the second row back, out of two rows. Visibility in the second row isn't very good, but the chairs are "freestanding" and the people in the front row kindly let us move forward a bit. Lovely theatre.

Были в этом театре на концерте Бетховена. Наши места были на балконе и билет стоил всего 5 евро. Мы хотели просто послушать, но оказалось, что было все видно. Учитывая мощный звук, то и слышно было хорошо. Интерьер театра выполнен в стиле европейских оперных театров, без особых изысков, но достаточно красиво. Можно было одежду не сдавать в гардероб. Балкон располагался на 3-ем этаже театра. Музыка была восхитительна. Рекомендую всем любителям искусства.

Fui em poucos teatros até hoje mas de todos que fui, esse era o menos confortável. Ficamos na parte de cima que são cadeiras “soltas” e como estávamos em 4 pessoas, as 2 que ficavam atrás não tinham uma boa visão do palco. O teatro é bem antigo mas bem conservado e bonito. A peça (Pinóquio) foi bem agradável.

Like a previous review booked on La Fenice website and thought we would be at La Fenice but instead ended up at Malibran (be very careful when booking!). Two seats at back of one of the boxes - I could see barely a fifth of the stage (three cellos and the conductor’s right arm) and all this for only 50€ a ticket - a complete rip-off. The theatre has no bar for interval drinks not that we needed one - we left after the first half - extremely disappointed!

Зашли посмотреть на убранство зала. Все с большим вкусом. Сезон начинается с октября. Жаль, но мы музыку послушали в августе в другом месте

Teatro Malibran – один из красивейших старинных памятников архитектуры в стиле эпохи Возрождения, открывшийся в 1678 году как самый большой театр Венеции. Театр славился своими пышными и захватывающими постановками, а также высочайшим уровнем выступающих.
Посетили театр 23 марта 2019 г, заранее купив биллеты на оперу (интермеццо) «Пимпиноне» композитора Томазо Альбинони (либретто Пьетро Париати), желая ощутить причастности к чему-то столь красивому и популярному в Италии начала XVIII века.
Однако ожидания не оправдались.
Постановка оказалась блеклой, неубедительной и откровенно скучной.
Поверхностная игра актеров (Nabila Dandara – Веспетта; Jaehun Jeong - Пимпиноне) не передавала яркий, темпераментный, эффектный и скандальный сюжет, актуальный во все времена.
Вокал исполнителей не отличался изяществом или силой.
Не рекомендую тратить время в Венеции на неудачную режиссерскую идею (Davide Garattini Raimondi – режиссер), при этом указанный театр стоит увидеть обязательно.

I bought tickets for the Opera directly from La Fenice Theatre website and thought that I would be going to La Fenice itself, but this was wrong as Malibran is a completely different theatre in a different location. It’s not as impressive as La Fenice inside and outside, much more simplistic. I went to see Il scogno scipione opera, and had a 2nd row of seats on the left hand side balcony (ordine2, palco4, posto3), which was a complete waste of money as sitting behind a pair of people who block the view in front of you completely and you can’t see a thing on the stage. In order to see the performance I had to stand up throughout the opera.
