We were picked up by our driver, Massimo on time. From thereon, the tour went so smoothly. We had 7 people in our party and everyone was impressed with both the tour and Massimo's knowledge of the area, including where to take pictures & pointing out specific areas of interest. The lunch, wine & cheese tasting was amazing & delicious and the day went super smoothly, even when we wanted some small detours and nothing was too much trouble for Massimo to accommodate our questions & requests. Booking through Lisa was super easy and I would not hesitate in recommending Lisa and Red Cap Tours to anyone who was visiting Florence. A great day made by fabulous people.

We were scheduled for a private tour with Marco. He met us at our hotel in Florence and spent four hours with us touring a few of the major sites. His knowledge was extensive, English was excellent and we really got a local's perspective on history as well as current developments in Florence. I would totally recommend this experience.
A couple recommendations: 1) You will have to insist on your own breaks for food and water. Often guides don't do this on their own for a number of reasons, but don't be shy. It will really improve the experience. 2) The woman who arranged the tour for us really talked us out of a full day tour and seemed to be "selling" museum tours, and insisted a 1/2 day was plenty to see Florence. I wanted in-depth history, however and pushed for a knowledgeable guide for this kind of tour. We easily could have done a full day with the depth of knowledge that Marco had. 3) I wish we had taken the day, added a few breaks and seen even more of this amazing city.

What a beautiful day we had with Lisa. Visits of Pisa and magnificient Cinque Terre. She was very kind and gave us lot’s of information. Great lunch spot she reserved for our group in Corniglia. One of our best souvenirs of this trip. Definitely a guide we recommend and hire again if we go back to these beautiful areas of Italy / Quelle belle journée nous avons passé avec notre guide Lisa. Visites de Pise et magnifique Cinque Terre. Elle est très gentille et a partagé beaucoup d’information. Elle a réservé l’endroit idéal pour un lunch à Corniglia. Un de nos plus beaux souvenirs de ce voyage. Définitivement une guide que nous recommandons et réserverons encore si nous retournons dans ces belles régions d’Italie.

We used Red Cap Tours for our week in Tuscany, a ride to Portovenere, and finally a ride to Florence. There were four of us and on two days a guide. Lisa, our driver, drove us each day to different towns. Her knowledge of the area is excellent. She provided a very nice minivan, clean and reliable. Not only was she always on time, she added stops for rest and walks. She was very accommodating in helping us with our Italian. I could write pages about this great experience. I will close by writing CHOOSE RED CAP TOURS!

As I read down other's reviews and thought about our experience I just have to agree. Easy to book with Lisa online. We had a tailor made day from the cruise ship. As our fellow travelers lined up with stickers on their chest in the big big buses, we were met with a smiling face, pristine vehicle and itinerary just for us. We traveled to the city of Lucca with Lisa chatting away with good info. She arranged for us to bike the wall, gave us some wandering time and had a table reserved for a local lunch. Then we went off to Pisa where Lisa had arranged a guide for us. OMG! We had the best guide ever. My wee little brain was filled with entertaining stories and information. The BEST! My thanks to Lisa and look at her reviews..the best, agreed!

You know, sometimes it is a curse to be really incredibly well travelled with high expectations, you know the ones, the brochures promising "exquisite" "sublime service"
"first class everything" and service that knocks you out! And then there's the failing to meet expectations and marketing claims upon delivery, like the highly touted oh so posh and pricey Silversea cruise we were on for 9 days..but that is another review.
Lisa the owner of Red Cap Tours DELIVERED and more. In spades. All day. We had taken a ship organized tour the day previous, and it was a total screw up, but there was Lisa waiting right under the ship on the dock as planned with her fabulous smile and open arms as we had corresponded for some time about planning a PERFECT day and felt we knew each other. Into her gorgeous, spotlessly clean lux Mercedes van and off we went to the small Bolgheri wine region for what turned out to really absolutely unequivocally the best day of so very many on our three week tour of Rome, The French and Italian Rivieras and a week in Paris. Lisa answered every email I sent so quickly, and re-confirmed everything beautifully in writing , was on time, exactly as promised. Such a pleasure to work with....YAY!!!
Our first stop was for a very private tour and tasting we organized at the sublime Ornellaia Winery, an off the charts experience.The small village Bolgheri was picture postcard lovely and we would have loved a few extra hours there but we had a full agenda.
Lisa is an excellent driver, and effortlessly easy to talk to, she has this great positive energy and genuinely cares for and enjoys her customers, so evident to us as the day went by... She went out of her way for us, securing us a reserved table after the Ornellaia estate tour at a no reservation lined up out the door charming charming enoteca in Bolgheri village for a leisurely memorable lunch with such attentive lovely service .
Heading back to Livorno port along the scenic route (eye candy galore, cypress trees, rolling hills, olives and lemon trees and lovely little villas) we wanted to check out the birthplace house of Modigliani the enigmatic Jewish-Italian expressionist painter and sculpture. Sadly..it was Monday, and the house, now a small museum, was closed. Not for Lisa though...she called and arranged for us to have it opened up for us for a really small fee and in we went for what turned out to be a really interesting time...we learned so much about this contemporary of Picasso and why there exists so few of his original art left. The young guide who opened the place to us was excellent, her English superb and we were once again, so impressed with Lisa...our "can do" driver.
Lisa...we will always remember our excellent day with you and all the laughs we shared along the way. To discerning readers of this review..all I can say is that we give Lisa and her Red Cap Tours company the highest possible recommendation and kudos from our discerning group!

Booked a winery tour with Lisa. We had her pick us up at the airport and then we went for the tour. Lisa brought us to Cenaia and Lari. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her especially if you are travelling with kids, like we did!

My excursion to Torre dei Lago was very last minute, but Lisa was very responsive and was able to book a car with a knowledgeable driver very quickly. Kora arrived on time (in fact, early) and we were off. She was able to talk about sights along the way, offer ideas and suggestions. She was also open to my suggestions and was very open to possible new experiences.

This was my 2nd trip to Florence and I can tell you that the tour guide makes all the difference in the world. Lisa was a pleasure to work with from the beginning and she helped us to fall in love with Florence. We were a group of 22 people and she kept us together and on time to ensure we were able to do everything we wanted. Seeing Florence the way Lisa shows it will not only ensure that you see everything, but that you have a blast along the way. We even ended up dancing with our tour guides and showing them how to do some salsa moves when we arrived back at the port. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you Red Cap Tours for everything you did.

Lisa from Pisa was great! She was timely and fun. We had 4 adults and 3 kids in the group. I highly recommend Red Cap Tours with Lisa.

Hi Lisa,
we are 7people including 2 seniors, 2 adults and 3 kids. We would dock at Livorno on sunday, 7/15 on celebrity constellation and would like to visit Pisa and FLorence. How many hours for tour and price? Does paynment need to be in cash?
