F1 sirkuset brøler inn på den berømte Grand Prix banen på Spa-Francorchamps i august eller september hvert år, og det kommer tusenvis av tilskuere fra hele Europa for å få med seg to dager med Porsche Supercup løp, treningsrunder og kvalifiseringer. Det store løpet starter kl. 2pm på søndag, og byr på 305 km (190,5 miles) med røykfylt, neglebitende, høyhastighets spenning.

Absolutely loved our time at the Belgian Grand Prix. It was my first time seeing a Grand Prix, and my partner's first time seeing the Belgian Grand Prix (he has been to others). After looking at some of these reviews, it seems that a lot of people don't do their research before going. First and foremost, Spa is a RURAL area, parking will be far and you're going to have a tricky time finding accommodation in the area, camping is king. We camped and had an incredible time. Second, Spa is a HILLY RURAL area! Which means there is going to be a lot of walking, some of which is uphill. We probably walked 7-10 miles a day. Third, Spa is a RAINY HILLY RURAL area! Which means you should come prepared to get wet and muddy- dress in layers and dress appropriately. Finally, it's a Formula 1 Grand Prix.. it's going to be crowded, and you may have to wait in line for food and restrooms. We liked the choices for food/drink, but they also allow you to bring in your own food and they have reusable water fill stations if you want to save money. We sat in Gold 3 the first two days and GA the third day where we sat on a hillside near the speed corner. Personally, I think Gold is the way to go all three days.. just spend the money. You have your own seats, shade from the elements, your own bathrooms and food and it's way less crowded once you're in. Ultimately, we went in knowing what to expect and had a great time. We would love to go back to Spa after seeing this summer's Grand Prix.

Absolutely stunning track. So beautiful. I think it is something any motorsport fan needs to be able to experience at least once. Seeing Eau Rouge/ Radillon in person - nothing can prepare you for that and you get a stunning view of it from the Fan Zone!
However, this track is not for the faint hearted. Bring your walking boots! It was a 25-45 mins walk from the car parking each day, which is in fields so if it rains (which it will!) you may need the help of your fellow motorists to push you out (& you will help them!) Luckily everyone is so friendly and there is a real "pitch in" attitude!
The food is very expensive (of course!) and everywhere needs their token system EXCEPT the fan zone, where you can choose to pay by Euro OR token.
You get a little card and load it with tokens at many places around the track.
Toilets at the fanzone are brilliant for a race circuit. Almost spotlessly clean the WHOLE weekend and plenty of them so I rarely had to queue there. We had tickets for Eau Rouge and up there were obviously less facilities but all was still clean, just a bit more queueing, so "go" at the fanzone, before you walk up, if you can!
Seeing the race from the Eau Rouge grandstand was worth every mile walked and every penny spent. I will never , ever forget it. Absolutely brilliant.

Overall a good experience but the parking issue is recurring each year and they seem to not do anything about it. The event itself is amazing, you get to watch your favorite drivers and team in action, and there's plenty other entertaining activities, such as historic af1 presentations, F2 and F3 racing events and concerts.
But when it comes to getting there and leaving the site, it is absolutely terrible. We had tickets for the Green Zone but this is happening in all areas. Fridays are slightly better, since it's only practice day and there are not so many visitors. But Saturday we spent 3h to exit the parking and another 45 min to reach the highway, and another 3h 40min to exit the parking and 30 min to reach the highway on Sunday. Everything gets jammed and there's nobody to coordinate the cars when exiting. So be prepared to lose a lot of time.
The minimum they could do since this issue is not new is to put some eco toilets in the parking but that doesn't happen either.

What a terribly organised event! We visited for both the qualifying and main race. Firstly the parking was atrocious! We booked parking for the green ‘car park’ several months ago. The queues were long and the car park a 30 min walk from the circuit. On the Saturday it rained which made it extremely difficult to get out of the car park.
The following day the directions and road closures made it difficult to even find how to get to the car park! Our sat nav would plan a route, only to find the road closed.
Upon parking, everyone had to walk down a long, muddy path to the track. Anyone a bit older or could not walk easily would have really struggled.
Security was not much better either. Big queues in some lanes and others just strolling straight through
Completely inadequate toilets inside causing big queues.
In the Grandstand at Combes there are very few screens meaning a big chunk of the spectators can’t see what’s going on.
Exiting the event wasn’t any better either. Huge queues and no easy way to join the main road.
Considering how expensive tickets are, we felt extremely disappointed with the facilities. People voiced similar frustrations last year, yet nothing has been done!

Visited Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps this year for the 2024 Grand Prix and came via Leger Coaches. One benefit of this is we didn’t need to use public transport nor worry about parking our own vehicle.
The track itself was easy to get into and security made it simple and quick (approx 10-15 min Que time) lots of merchandise stores on the lead up to the track and scattered around the track (prices inflated) Food stalls where scattered everywhere and easy accessible, you had to use a pre paid card to purchase anything within the track.
The race itself is amazing and even with Bronze tickets you could get great views (if you know where to go)
On the race day it does get crowded as expected so it’s best to prepare and take some food and drink in with you. Toilets (females) can get busy as there’s not that many around, men’s toilets are everywhere and never seemed to have Que

This is a horribly run event. Over crowded, poor crowd control. Horrible parking. Poor food choice. Do not go!!! Horrible the only thing they do is take Mo eye!

The course is beautiful and in a very nice area. Making a Formula 1 race with this is spectacular! However, the organization leaves something to be desired.. This is the second year we come, the entrance open an hour later than stated, the parking open half an hour later than stated so people are stuck, the parking longer than 2 hours without any information for the parked on Sunday to go home,... Too bad because this also makes the experience very frustrating.

2 hours each evening to return home at 15kms, lamentable organization for the end of the day at the level of the evacuation of parking lots. It's appalling to be so poorly organized and for this PM to endure.

We explain that there is a shuttle from Vervier station. You start by lining up 40 minutes to buy your shuttle ticket, a single ticket office for several hundred people. 45 minutes shuttle and they drop you 3 or 4 km from the entrance of the source, pb we are at its peak! And there is nothing planned to move you other than on foot and when you know a little bit about the circuit it is not cool.
And for the return always on foot and the shuttle that lets you cook 30 minutes before starting and it was not too hot...
Results you pay a blind to hit you more than 15 clamp terminals. Only good thing, the burger we eat at lunch.

Tried to go with public transport and it was a horrific experience. The signs and guiding lead dosen of us to a 5km hike largely at a side of a busy and narrow road. I do not recommend visiting F1 in SOA to anyone. And especially do not trust the signs or police/security personnel.

Loved your review! Since you traveled on the train, what camping gear did you haul? Are there rentable tents or cabins ? You didn't mention any over the top temps- sounded pretty comfortable.

Why could we not even get a view of the 2 bends we travelled from the uk to see, i.e. La Source and Eau Rouge. They were blocked from view of everyone but Gold ticket holders and corporate guests. This has truly wrecked this life long dream of mine, only made possible in the first place as a gift from my children. Truly sickened by this. Bronze ticket holders are clearly third class at this venue.

For serious motorsport fans, the Spa GP is very high on the 'bucket list', and now I can cross it off mine. The circuit is amazing, the changes in elevation are stunning to comprehend the bends and the general setting in the forest all lived up to expectations. to see cars attacking this circuit in anger is truly a site to behold for the fleeting seconds they are in view.The atmosphere was great, and in general the behaviour of most of the fans was acceptable, sometimes funny, sometimes hilarious.
You have to accept before you go that if you plan on purchasing your food and drink inside the circuit, that you pay highly for very basic fast food, (and they accomplish that via a peculiar 'ticket/token' system that is bound to see them coming out on top), but that is the same at every football match, concert, and festival. I hope you like chips with Mayonaise, it's the national 'go to' fast food item, along with an interesting looking 'meatball', didn't try that one. Waffles as well as burgers are available, so an 'extensive' menu altogether.
BUT, and you do need to be aware of this, unless you pay big for your tickets, you will not be able to see the 2 most iconic bends on the circuit. Both La Source and Eau Rouge are corralled off for Gold ticket holders and corporate big wigs entertaining guests. You cannot even walk past them as security diverts you away from those parts. They have even gone to the trouble of erecting large hoardings in critical spots to stop you from seeing the 2 bends that every serious motorsport fan wants to see. I found this to be absolutely disgusting and morally wrong. My son had bought our tickets as a Fathers Day gift, and when taken into account with the expense of travel and accommodation, to be barred from seeing these gladiators of the tarmac doing exactly what you travelled there to see them do on these famous/infamous parts of the circuit was genuinely upsetting, not least for my son who was the reason our visit took place. They tease you with a free to enter grandstand that allows you to see the last 40 metres of the cars climbing Eau Rouge, but only approximately 100-150 will be able to get seats capable of this view, as the Grandstand is really intended for an arena set at 90 degrees to the circuit.
This truly spoiled the whole point of us going to Belgium, to witness the famous Eau Rouge being attacked by 20 mega powerful machines. I would urge the circuit owners/operators and F1 themselves to rectify this situation, and stop making normal hard working people feel like second class citizens.
This was our one chance to fulfil this dream, and the greed of the operators and the ability of the privileged few to be able to pay for what every fan should be able to view at least just once in their weekend has taken that away. I would say i feel it is shameful, and somewhat deceitful, as you have no way of knowing the set up before you get there. Simply wrong.
