Had a walk through this park when staying in Taunton. Wonderful set of gates greet you, and well kept lawns, lovely flower beds. Can imaging it would be idyllic on a hot summers day!

Surprised to see a golf course as part of the park, as well as High Ropes for those inclined to try various exercises. Leisurely walk through the park, with the fountain and multiple garden spots.

Great high and low ropes course. For adults and kids. My 7 and 11 years old were too scared to the do the high ropes. The low course was more than enough for them. The 14 year old loved it all. We were there about an hour and a half.

Nice to stop and eat a fabulous Cronut from Dough Brothers on a seat in the park while watching the world go by. The council really do a good job planting the beds and making it really pretty.
The greatest shame is the litter and endless fag-butts by the benches left by some of the more colourful characters that frequent the benches.

A stunning park which is great for a stroll around or to sit quietly to read a book, it would be especially ideal for a picnic in the warmer months but feeding the ducks is ideal anytime of the year, this is a great place for families as there is so much to do here, couples or being alone is perfect too for spending some quality time together, or just on your own as the place has a calm feeling all around it.

Lovely green park in central Taunton and bordered by the Sherford Stream, which adds to the visual appeal of the sensory garden, fountain and bandstand in the park. The sensory garden is especially nice in the late late summer we’re experiencing. Very pleasant for walking & resting. Even though it’s late summer, the grass is very green and flowers are still blooming. Close to the north entrance is also the monumental war memorial in a well tended garden of its own.

Beautiful gardens, spent an idilyc afternoon, walking and relaxing. Crazy golf was fun. Everything is so well maintained. An ice cream just finished the day....lovely

Why can't the Sunday concerts in bandstand start up now

I'm sure it would be easy to book duo s solo artists or even a spaced out jazz group.Why isn't it happening

Why are dogs on leads not permitted? They are permitted in Vivary Park normally. Dog display teams are permitted and assistance dogs so why?

Vivary Park is a multi-functional open space which hosts a range of events throughout the year, from the Taunton Flower Show to the 3-day Live In Somerset pop concerts. The events are issued with licences which dictate terms and conditions on issues such as Health and Safety. On top of this, the event organisers can issue their own rules and regulations regarding entrance onto site for example. For further information about the Flower Show's rules and regulations, please contact them directly.

Can you take chairs and drinks into the Tom Jones concert this weekend?

You will be allowed to take one small handbag, one unopened 500ml bottle of water and a rug/picnic blanket into Vivary Park for the concerts this weekend. There will be food and drink stalls onsite, and standpipes for refilling water bottles.

Thank you for your enquiry.
There are over 15 public car parks in Taunton, none of which are more than a 15 minute walk to Vivary Park. Charges do not apply on Sundays. The two multi-storeys in town (The Orchard and The High Street) will remain open until midnight - the other car parks can be accessed 24/7. Further information can be found on Somerset West and Taunton Council's websites.
I'm afraid chairs are NOT permitted into the concerts - you will be allowed to take one small handbag, one unopend 500ml bottle of water and a picnic blanket/rug. There will be food and drink stalls within the park.

Thank you for your enquiry.
We are selling the General Admission standing tickets for £43.45 each, available for sale in person only until 4.30pm on Saturday 13th July.
All of the public car parks in Taunton will be available for parking on the day of the concert (please note: The Orchard and High Street car parks, which are closest to Vivary Park, will be locked at midnight). Car parking charges are in force from 8am - 6pm, Monday - Saturday.

Where is the nearest car park that is open late? We're going to the Madness show in July.

We have just received confirmation that the Orchard and High Street multi-story car parks (which are both less than a minute's walk from Vivary Park) will remain open until midnight for the 3 concerts in July.
All of the council-run car parks in Taunton have charges in place from 8am-6pm, Monday-Saturday.
