Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Concorde experience tour with Mike was the best. Mike was very informative and answered questions we had.

A full days worth of history and things to do. Have been a few times before but not since they moved the hangar. The car section is very interesting with a nice selection of old racers still on site. the aircraft section is fascinating with most of the aircraft having a real connection to the site. My only little moan would be there are a few too many things looking like they are stored rather than on display. i.e. there are a couple of aircraft in pieces blocking walkways in the main hanger. Also a lot of cars under blue tarps by the bus museum which detracts from the well kept look of the rest of it All in all a wonderful day out.

What an amazing and interesting place to spend a day.
We arrived not really knowing what to expect as we didn’t know the history of Brooklands.
Such an eye opener to learn that so much took place here including the first motor racing track, which is still here and you can go for a stroll along it.
So many exhibits to enjoy, racing cars, motorbikes, planes and the bus museum which is great for bringing back happy memories.
Probably the best part for us though was talking to the volunteers on the planes who had so much knowledge, usually first hand as some of these guys had actually worked on these great aircraft and they had such interesting stories and little known facts which they are more than happy to share. Could talk to them for hours.
We bought the “eye spy” book from the gift shop which I would recommend, it’s not just for kids and encourages you to look out for many exhibits you might not normally notice and tick them off. We didn’t find them all, even with a whole day here, which means we will just have to come back.

Thank you for taking the time to post such a positive review of our museum.
We are very lucky to have volunteers that can share their stories as they did with you.
We look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit to see the rest of the museum.

The museum is excellent and I doubt if anyone would not be delighted with their visit. Unfortunately the cafe lets it down. In particular, the hot food I bought recently had obviously been kept heated for quite a while, whilst it was put into a cardboard bowl, with cardboard cutlery. It was not cheap. Stick to sandwiches or take a picnic. This did not detract from enjoyment of the huge number of varied and fascinating things to see and the well re-created Brooklands atmosphere. Definitely a must to visit.

OK so Brooklands Museum in itself is a lovely place. Be aware that if you have elderly or disabled persons with you, that a scooter should be pre booked as it is quite an area to walk around otherwise.
I took my dad for a lovely Classic car show day out there, for his 86th birthday.
Like many families we are not loaded when it comes to money and I thought that the little cafe would have been normal prices. However, after ordering all 3 of us a pie and mash and 3 coffees each, it was £50.00! in a Cardboard box, with cardboard cups and cardboard cutlery! I found this to be extreme in price given not even a dishwasher would have been used, and the queue was enormous! We had to sit in the children's play area which was very loud for a disabled person. £50 for a pie full of gristle and not much meat, with a slob of mash isn't my idea of a treat but for that money I would have expected a plate at the very least, and cutlery as well as an area of the disabled to sit on higher chair etc... or the elderly . Not impressed with the cafe.

My daughter bought her and I tickets to this amazing place which we attended today.
I always relayed Brooklands to motor sports but was unaware of its aircraft building history.
To top the day off we also had a guided tour of Concord
Well worth a visit if you are interested in cars or flight

WOW!
We honestly had no idea what to expect, we had a buy a gift voucher and choose Brooklands as we wanted to see Concorde.
We were absolutely blown away with how awesome this gem is. We spent a good five hours wondering around and truly enjoyed it all.
Concorde is well worth the additional cost, the tour while only 35 minutes of as excellent and really interesting.
London Bus Museum, was fab!
All the other displays were interesting we had no idea how instrumental Brooklands was to the war effort and the development of aviation in the UK.
The volunteers are great and give loads of information without boring you for an age.
The old race track is also worth a view.
Sunbeam Cafe - great food at a very reasonable price and a healthy option, not all chips is a big thumbs up!
While we do not have children there was lots of interactive activities for them.
Also plenty of places for a picnic.
Would definitely recommend.

Lovely day at the Brooklands Museum, very interesting and varied with Cars, Bikes, Motorbikes, F1, Aircraft and Bus area, the famous Brooklands track as well as the massive engineering of the Stratosphere Chamber. Needed a whole day to just scrape the surface of this site. The sun was out and Concorde glistened in the afternoon, after the morning showers.
The staff there were fantastic, helpful and very knowledgeable. A special mention must go to the lovely gentleman upstairs with the Wellington Bomber, a member of staff who enthusiastically told us the history and demise of both the Wellingtons held in the museum, one recovered from Loch Ness and the other used as a chicken shed, he is a credit to the museum and to the history of the Wellington...well done Sir for bringing the Wellington "to life"
We will be back to investigate more thoroughly as a day simply was not enough to see everything properly.
Recommended, BUT be aware that you'll probably need far more than a day to do it full justice.

How long would it take to walk around Brooklands including the Museum
Travellerclass
Farnham, UK1 026 bidrag
Yes I would agree with all the other comments. We arrived at 10am and finally left at 4pm. So yes a full day is required. What I will say is that all our group are aviation fanatics and some of us even worked on aircraft for many years. I myself carried out X-raying on the Brooklands static display Hurricane Z2389 Engine Bearer frame a few years ago.
What people forget is that Brooklands has so much more than just aircraft. They have numerous superb vintage cars, motor bikes, push bikes and all kinds of associated memorabilia. Without doubt we did take our time and basically stopped to look at everything, so if you are not that way inclined, you could action Brooklands in just 3 hours I guess. To be quite honest you will be cheating yourself of a really great day of seeing history up close if you rush your visit. In fact I have now visited Brooklands 5 times over the past 15 years. Have a great visit.
Can I walk directly into the museum/where is the pedestrian access? As I looked on google maps but can't see a clear pedestrian pathway.

You can get to Brooklands on foot.
There's lots of info on getting to Brooklands on their website. Check out the Visit link.
Travelling by train:
The nearest railway station is Weybridge (less than a mile away) which is on the Woking to Waterloo and Staines to Weybridge lines. The Museum is a 20-minute walk from the station, or you can catch one of the local buses from outside the station to the Brooklands Hotel stop (7-minute walk).
Pedestrians from Weybridge Train Station can either walk down Brooklands Road to use the Campbell Gate Entrance off Brooklands Road (this entrance is shared with JTI and signed ‘JTI Members Hill’ - Campbell Gate walking directions), or they can use the new Brooklands Accessibility Scheme shared cycling and walking path to reach the main visitor entrance on Brooklands Drive.
Travelling by bus:
The Falcon bus route 436 serves Woking, Sheerwater, Byfleet, Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands Hotel and Weybridge Station Monday to Saturday. The Museum is a short walk from the Brooklands Hotel stop.
The Chatterbus serves Leatherhead, Fetcham and Cobham and the Brooklands retail park with a stop at the Museum on Saturdays.
Enjoy your visit!

Not sure if the website is slightly out of date. But do you still need to wear face coverings in confined spaces. Ie Concorde experience.

We weren't asked to wear masks anywhere, even the Concorde experience, and that was in June. Some people had them, some didn't, but nobody was making it a requirement. There are still notices and hand sanitiser stations all over the place though.
