The town trail is i would say the best we have done and is now my favourite. So much history and now due to Outlander romance? as well. One of the highlights of our trip to Fife certainly Do Not Miss this place if in the area. The narrow streets that are cobbled can be a bit tricky to navigate if your party have mobility issues. Also Culross can be a bit hilly depending on where you go.

This is a must, it is a well kept historic village, it sends you back to experience the old Tudor times. Also a must if an Outlander fan as scenes were shot here but so has a lot of films and you can see why, the Abbey is at the top of the hill. The palace looks so old and a weird orange colour but wasn’t open when we went.

Would highly recommend visiting this beautiful ancient village with cobbled streets and houses dating back to the Tudor times. Visiting the Palace of Culross is also recommended.

Magical and quirky. A meander through the village to find lovely buildings. We worth a visit whatever the weather. Lots to see.

We visited this area last week on the recommendation if a friend and we were not disappointed. There's a unique little pier to walk along, not to mention cobbled streets to wander and an Abbey and church too to visit. Lots to see and many places to visit all within close distance of each other. A real must to visit if you are in the area. X

First time of visiting this old historic settlement. Walked the cobble causeways in the midsummer heatwave and admired the fascinating architecture of the old houses and Palace. Walked along the Firth pathway and read all the historical fact signs along the way. Would like to do the Pilgrims route all the way to St Andrews another time.

We revisited Culross and once again greatly enjoyed our time here. The small historic town is beautifully restored and kept and is used as a film and TV location.

This is a beautiful spot by the Firth of Forth. There are free car parks at either end of the village, and Culross Palace is right in the middle. Wear walking shoes, as the cobbled streets are rough. Make sure you go alll the way up the hill to the Abbey, it is a stunning ruin with amazing views. Also do visit the palace, it is really interesting with beautiful gardens. We spent a lovely morning walking around the streets and alleyways.

We spent a lovely afternoon on the Outlander trail visiting the palace and gardens and exploring the pretty village. The NTS volunteers were friendly and helpful as always.

A quaint, pretty little village and former royal burgh with lots of things to see for a day trip. There's the ochre coloured Culross Palace (inside closed due to Covid, gardens open), Mercat Cross, Culross Abbey, the Lockit Well, Culross pier, cobbled streets and great views. Just a great place to wander around.
