Lovely beach but pot holed rip off car park. Was very windy on the beach to so didnt stay long so even more ripped off by car park charges!
Wouldn't bother again as far better beaches with better facilities.

Once again greed and explotation are the winners a great beach butparking charges that make your eyes water - £5 for two hours or £9 a day is taking the mick.
We visited early evening as a family with our dogs for a stroll, given the charges to park you would think they could afford to upkeep the toilets and put some litter bins around

As usual one of the great, if not the greatest, beaches on the North Norfolk Coast.
Unfortunately the folk who own the car park have succumbed to the temptation, now endemic in this county, to exercise downright greed when fleecing motorists for parking, in this case on a pothole littered patch of earth.

£5.00 for the first 2 hours which is barely enough time to relax and enjoy oneself, or £9.00 for the whole day.(Note to National Trust-update the Brancaster Estate website please)
Where the money goes is anybody's guess but they need to use some of their vast income to repair the car park.

They also need to train the attendant in traffic management. On one of our visits, Sat.11th June around 16.00, he and a useless assistant were packing cars into a comparatively small area close to the entrance, presumably because it was close to knocking off time and he didn't want to have to walk too far to check tickets!!
Result-chaos.

The toilets are a disgrace but may be National Trust responsibility (who to add insult to injury have notices up in them asking for donations!!!)

An excellent beach. Car park adjacent the beach, if a little on the expensive side, it is ideal for accessing this beach. Is dog friendly, soft sand, easy to walk for miles and due to its size it never seems too busy.

This beach is just gorgeous with golden sands, soft underfoot and never it seems busy. Family and dog friendly - and definately walker friendly - just perfect for a late afternoon or evening stroll to watch the sun go down and catch those last rays.

Lovely beach and safe sea to swim in. Lovely to walk behind the sand dunes by the beach huts to the little cafe.

Brancaster Harbour is a great place to go for a walk on the beaches of Norfolk. Miles of sand in a very pretty setting. No problems parking

Unspoilt paradise, gets busy with dog walkers in winter. You do find the odd bit of dog poop on the beach and entrance slope, but otherwise beautiful. Gentle slope down to sand is ideal for disabled people if on sticks, not ideal for walking aids if not on sticks. Be aware the road floods with the tide so knowing tide times is useful. Car park is expensive, but not as bad as elsewhere on the coast, and is usually an attended car park. Keep an eye on children as shifting sands, and water current can be strong, plus it is a vast open space. Highly recommended.

Another lovely beach/bay area on the north Norfolk coast and well worth visiting whether for long or short stay. Miles of beach in both directions, arriving from the car park, and pretty much unspoilt - no beach huts, for instance. It is near a golfcourse and its clubhouse which is a bit of an eyesore and you do encounter very loud people with golfing paraphernalia but only briefly! There are toilets and a takeaway only cafe but not sure if they are available in low season (still there in October - yay!)

Brancaster is an iconic place to visit - I visited frequently as a child and brought my own children there to enjoy the beach, the dunes, the sea and the ambience. This visit, my husband and I walked along the beach - miles and miles of flat sand, with the sea far out on the horizon. The dunes are now protected; rightly so, as such natural beauty needs to be preserved for the enjoyment of multiple generations.
There are toilets and a beach hut - a car park (which at a minimum charge of £4 for 2 hours was a bit steep!). Access is via a long and narrow road. Brancaster beach is a National Trust site.
