What a great, charming and really know-it-all guide!
This was the third time we've been with him in Cape Town and the surrounding area.
Every time we've experienced and discovered new things with George.
His restaurant recommendations were also great.
Once we were even allowed to freshen up with him and his lovely wife Sue before our night tour. And last but not least, they picked us up from outside our bar and drove us to the hotel. We felt so comfortable and can only recommend him.

I can fully recommend the tour guide Sue from Southern Sky Travel and Tours. Experienced, knowledgeable,smiling and the type of person who very easily and quickly turns into being your friend.

Thank you, Sue😊. You made our vacation in Cape Town wonderful. Your knowledge
in detail about every place we visited made our 4 days trip extremely interesting
and delightful.
Unfortunately we had to return to Norway a week earlier because of covid 19.
You are a very, very nice woman🌹
I would highly recommend Sue’s service to any first visitor.

George was recommended to us by Judy, the proprietor of Hedge House B&B where we were staying. He took four of us (visiting from UK) on a tour of the Stellenbosch area. George is a great communicator and very knowledgeable of the area, especially the winelands. He chatted throughout the tour, pointing out places of interest, making the whole day far more interesting. We had a great walk round Stellenbosch town which has a fascinating history, plus some wine-tasting in truly delightful surroundings. A wonderful day out, we learned a lot - and we didn’t have to drive, so we could truly enjoy the wines. Thanks George - we’ll be back.

Me and my family had a really amazing tour with George. The tour started at Simon’s town and went down the east coast to breathtaking Cape of Good hope.
From there we went up along the west coast to Cape Town, looking at all the stunning views at beaches and mountain sceneries. On our way we visited a small local atmospheric oasis of small shops and cafes.
Last but not least we stopped on and really old and charming Vineyard with both great tasting food and nice vine tasting.
Along the way, George, in his delightful and compelling manners, took the time to both tell and answer questions about all the things we went by or just came to our minds.
We can highly recommend both George as a guide and the tour we went on.

George was friendly, courteous from the moment we met him. Airport pick up and drop off was a real added bonus. Knows the area extremely well and can cater any tour to your individual taste. Packed a lot of stuff in without seeming to be rushed.

Vi var 2 par og havde 14 fantastiske dage langs Garden route og alt var super planlagt af George (ejeren)
George kørte os rundt alle dage, hvor dette var nødvendigt. Der var indlagt spændende dagture til forskellige seværdigheder langs Garden route.
George var en fantastisk fortæller under hele turen.
Vi boede 4 forskellige steder og alle indkvarteringer var meget lækre.
Southern Sky Travel er meget anbefalelsesværdigt.
George kørte os rundt alle dage, hvor dette var nødvendigt. Der var indlagt spændende dagture til forskellige seværdigheder langs Garden route.
George var en fantastisk fortæller under hele turen.
Vi boede 4 forskellige steder og alle indkvarteringer var meget lækre.
Southern Sky Travel er meget anbefalelsesværdigt.

We had a tour for 6 people to the 4Mountain Pass area through the winefields and lovely valleys and spectacular mountain scenery. We stopped along the way for photos. George was most informative and fun to travel with in our comfortable van. We ended our tour at a Cheetah Preservation Park which was a lovely experience. We would highly recommend George Kleyn to anyone seeking a great day out!!!

George is a fabulous guide and a wonderful person. He was absolutely delightful and fun, with word games abound (which my 11-yo son appreciated more than George can imagine- and btw the two of them hiked up Lion's Head). He showed us the 'cool' (to a kid) off-the-beaten sights, and generously responded in kind to our pivots. We drove to Knysna, zip-lined through a rainstorm, went on an amazing abseiling trip, and jumped in the car back- all the while learning about the apple business, South African politics, culture, education, wine, and (according to my son, 'everything') punctuated by endless charming and quirky and delicious and elegant spots. Highly recommended!

Courteous, knowledgeable, and flexible George was very prompt picking us up at our hotel for a day traveling the cape.
From the get-go he had numerous suggestions from which to chose, as we made him aware of our having to be back by 4 pm.
We started going towards Camp Bay with a stop to see a breathtaking view. We continued on for a coffee stop where the locals have breakfast learning different things about the area.
We decided not to travel all the way down to the bottom of the cape, as we had a time restriction and the area/traffic during the holiday season would slow us up. We were getting plenty of magnificent views in our travel. Onward to see the penguins, we enjoyed the stop to see these seafaring creatures in their natural habitat on the coast line.
It was time for lunch, and George selected Harbor House, a wonderful seafood restaurant overlooking the water in Kalk Bay. The food and view were excellent.
We made a quick stop at a factory that sells jewelry with semi-precious stones and ostrich products—my request. I was sorry not to purchase an ostrich bracelet after finding the exact one from the same manufacturer for 200 rands more in our hotel gift shop upon our return.
George was happy to make any deviations, and corresponding with him from home was easy. A true gentleman and scholar, I would certainly recommend George to our friends. He showed us a delightful day outside of Cape Town..

Our website is under reconstruction-my apologies.
The tours I recommend start with an orientation, in the morning including the cableway to the top of Table Mountain, the drive to Signal Hill and a guided walk in interesting parts of the city.
In the afternoon there are walks in SA's flagship botanical garden at Kirstenbosch and a visit and lunch at an historic wine in Constantia.
Following that the trip to the SW tip of Africa at the Cape of Good Hope is very popular and includes the boat trip to the colony on Seal Island and a visit to the penguin colony at Boulders. The coastal scenery we traverse during the day is magnificent.
The third day could either be to Stellenbosch, the oldest and best wine district in the country and includes a guided town walk, some wine tasting and lunch on a wine farm. Or we could traverse spectacular mountain scenery on the 4 Passes tour which would also pass through Stellenbosch and could include 1 wine tasting.
Our day rate is R3500 ( the 4 Passes tour is R4000 ), excluding lunch and entrance fees.
