not many shops occupied, many still under construction, and some of those that were open were stocking things i have seen all over europe, so unsure just how maltese they really were. very disappointed as hoping to see local crafts people one very good silver shop with the silversmith at work and the glass studio was good

Friends had recommended us visiting this artisanal hub. We were frankly disappointed. For one, the different shops are very spread out, and there are no maps to help guide one to areas of interest. Secondly, some shops seemed expensive (ceramics), others appeared to be very reasonable but of questionable quality (jewelry and gems). However, our driver took us to Mdina Glass, a little off-site, where there was an extensive and varied collection to choose from (we bought some Christmas ornaments).

Really disappointed with this tourist attraction. Took a 10 minute walk along a busy road to get to from public bus and looked like a building site. Only one place to get a cold drink and shops all the same stuff as in vallettta and Mdina anyway. Wouldn’t bother

Don’t bother going, we drove through and didn’t see anything open on a Saturday afternoon. It’s received millions of EU money and it’s all disappeared with barely a stall holder claiming a space

We've visited here many times and it is currently undergoing a massive revamp. It is built on an old airfield and previously the units were old 'nissan' huts...now all sandstone buildings, so part of the initial charm and history has gone. Currently only about 6 units have shops in them, I would suggest around 30 once building works are completed.
It's a bit like a UK Outlet Village but no designer labels!
My Dad walks with a stick and it's fairly spread out which was a bit of an issue, saying that the paths are smooth and even with a decent free carpark. Cafe did lovely smoothies and the pottery works were beautiful with a wide range in styles and budget.

The village is accessible bus service or the Hop On Hop Off tourist bus, as well as by car with a car park. It takes about an hour and 15 to get there by bus from Sliema/Valletta. However it is relatively new and there are not many businesses there yet. A few jewellery shops, several glass and ceramics stores ( they let you view the glass blowing which is interesting) one cafe and a really inspiring olive wood shop with a creative owner who will do bespoke work. I would recommend visiting it.
Opposite the village is the Malta Aviation Museum, with exhibits of aircraft, a beautiful Second World War chapel, a complete Spitfire and Hurricane and many other historic and interesting artefacts. It is well worth a visit, especially if you are interested in Malta’s sacrifices and contributions to the war effort.

Wasted morning.

The bus to and from Valletta ran every hour.

On arrival the craft centre was like a ghost town. I am guessing about 10 shops open for business, which I estimate to be less than 10% of the units that have been, or are being, built. In fact of all the units under construction I saw one with tradesmen on.

If I was a business convinced to open a unit at the craft centre I would not be happy. Lost for words…. I can’t ever see the craft centre being finished as envisaged….

Still very much under construction and much of it looks like a building site. Enjoyed the Valetta Glass shop and it was interesting to see the glass blowing but that was about it for me. Jewellery shops open, very small cafe attached to pottery shop. Bus 56 stops directly outside the village and was on time coming back thank goodness. I am sure this will all be lovely when it's finished but keep expectations in check for now.

Ta’ Quali is an interesting place to visit, especially if going to Rabat or Mdina since it’s on the way. There’s a few shops open that are definitely worth a visit for crafts. Most of the village is not yet open and still under construction, but the shops that are open have great finds.

Picturesque crafts village purpose built to hold crafts and arts people, including potters. Lovely place, very lovely store owners and customer service staff, wide range of collection of jewellery, pottery, souvenirs, diamonds, silver, etc. I particularly liked the range of prices, that there was something for every budget. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the unfortunate company I kept; my friend who wanted to go there actually moaned because it had been renovated, but then all she did was moan for 7 days anyway even though we did everything she demanded. Thanks to the jewellery maker in Exquisite for keeping the Mona occupied while I chose gold earrings for my Christmas present from my uncle. Otherwise I’d have been rushed out of there because Mona wanted to do what she wanted when she wanted, without a second thought to me or anyone else. Since she had already bought what she wanted, she wanted to leave. I wish the village had facilities for storing bad friends, but apart from that it was a lovely place to visit. There was also space to walk away from the incessant mad chattering of Mona, which was wonderful for the ten minutes I managed to obtain peace and tranquillity, before she found me. The views are also lovely and I wish I’d taken a picnic.
