We booked through Katahum tours for our day trip to Antique. We had an incredible day! I highly encourage anyone to do the zip lining! It was scary, but the views were breathtaking. The extreme tubing was also a lot of fun, but not for those who are very young or not comfortable in the water. The hike to the water fall was a challenge, but worth it! We enjoyed our lunch in the river... And my daughter and I are gluten free and vegetarian and they brought out a special leaf filled with food just for us! It was so delicious and way too much food!! My favorite part of the day was the kawa baths. After being in cold water and hiking in the rain, the hot water felt incredible and so relaxing. The fish baths were the perfect way to end a great day. The entire day was well planned and we enjoyed everything we did. Our tour guide was perfect, the motorbike rides were thrilling, and I would recommend Katahum Tours to anyone visiting.

We organised a three day two night tour as a large group. Every need was catered for and they were very flexible in the planning. The first day was a trip to Mararison Island which was a totally beautiful experience. Then the second day was the eco adventure tour which was really fun! Zip lining, swimming in waterfalls, rubber tubing, eating traditional food in a river, hot baths... my only criticism is that the transport is by motorbike which isn't made very clear and helmets are not provided. I think the option of helmets would make this a 5 star experience. Would definitely recommend and do it again if I had the opportunity!

Whenever you go to Boracay and think that there's nothing else to do but enjoy PH's best beach and party, well, think again. Antique province, Aklan's (where 'Bora' is located) neighbouring province, is Panay Island's adventure capital and is now getting the attention of locals and foreigners for all the attractions it offers.
Chasing waterfalls? Check. Exploring PH's cleanest rivers and river-tubing/rafting? Check. Trekking to caves, rice terraces and other highland attractions? Check again. These are just a few activities that you can never find in Boracay and all these are just 1.5 hours away. And Katahum Tours can arrange ANYTHING that you would like to explore in Antique.
As soon as I contacted them, they provided me with all the information that we need. They can arrange transportation for you, or you can just simply ride the Tibiao-bound Ceres bus from Caticlan (terminal right across Caticlan Jetty Port). Their office is just located at the Tibiao Fish Spa compound along the national highway and the bus drivers know where to drop you. We were fortunate to find a rent-a-van at Caticlan so that was our transpo option going there.
Once there they will conduct a brief orientation on what to expect for the tour that you booked. We chose to avail of the Tibiao Adventure tour where we scaled Bugtong Bato falls (easy 30-40min trek), tested the Kawa spa, enjoyed a sumptuous lunch and went down to check Butong river rapids and a scenic hanging bridge. To cap the day, we relaxed at their fish spa before going back to Caticlan. We left Boracay by 5:30AM and we were back before 6PM. Easy!
Katahum Tours was on top of everything that you will need and is really the premiere adventure tours provider in the region. Booking their tour was very easy and is just 1 call or email away. When we get back, we will definitely avail of the other tours that they offer. Many thanks to Fate for being accommodating and to Ken for making sure we were safe all throughout and for the best photos!

First, the booking process was a hassle-free one. They are very responsive with texts. I easily booked a Tibiao day tour.
We were guided by our tour guide Toto. He's very hospitable and courteous. He really took care of us and very attentive to our needs. The packed lunch is great I must say. Simple yet yummy!
The places we visited were great. Over all, our experience in Tibiao, Antique were great. Definitely we'll be choosing Katahum Tours once again since there are still a lot of places to visit for. *wink*
We were guided by our tour guide Toto. He's very hospitable and courteous. He really took care of us and very attentive to our needs. The packed lunch is great I must say. Simple yet yummy!
The places we visited were great. Over all, our experience in Tibiao, Antique were great. Definitely we'll be choosing Katahum Tours once again since there are still a lot of places to visit for. *wink*

I booked Katahum Tours for my day trip to Mararison Island and it was good fun. The owner (sorry to have forgotten the name) was really inspiring. He is on hands seeing to it that everything and everyone is taken care of. At the same time, he is building a great community in the island helping out the kids and residents in general.
My tour guide Ken, is really friendly, accommodating and energetic. He really enjoys his job.
The reason for not rating this a 5 star is that, there's a little bit of shortcoming on the outline of the tour as compared in the website. I was actually expecting, a little bit more than just mountain trekking. So it somehow, misinformed me. Anyways i enjoyed the trip so hopefully next time i can try the other recommended tours in Tibiao.

We had the plessure to stay with Katahum Tours for 7 Days. we had our base in Tibiao fish-spa and therefrom we went on different tours.
we had Ken as our guide for the first tours, which was an overnight stay at mararison island and the Tibiao adventure tour. Everything was perfect ! and Ken is an amazing guide - really good to tell you everything you should know and taking you everywhere you should see.
after our tours ind Tibiao we went to Captain Fullon, also known as the Rice terrasses. THAT was an experience of a lifetime ! Toto was our guide the whole way through. and he and all of the people in the village made us feel like home. We owe them so much love for their hospitality and their beautiful village. will never forget it !
All af this could not have happend without Flords Help and support to the community.. You are an amazing person like everybody else around you.
We, as chefs, would love to give a special Thanks to Flords brother who made all of the delicious food at Tibiao Fishspa.
If you ever get the oppertunity to try katahum tours, always let them serve your meals !
Once again .. If you ever go to Panay, dont miss this Gem of Antique

I did one of the day tours with 6 friends while we were staying in Boracay and this was the absolute highlight of our vacation!
After a delicious breakfast including local fruits and cuisine, our package started with a beautiful hike through hills and rice paddies up to three lovely waterfalls, where we had a much needed swim. There are a few deep pools around and fun opportunities to jump in from higher rocks. After that we stopped by a local house and had an amazing lunch with barbecue chicken, fish, eggplant, and, of course, rice.
After lunch we were "cooked alive" in a relaxing personal tub with herbs.
This alone would have made for a great day, but after that we went ziplining, boulder jumping and ended with another wonderful meal and unlimited time at the fish spa!
This is an excellent choice for a day full of variety and adventure! Absolutely recommend.

While working in Iloilo for two weeks, a coworker took me to Antique (about a five hour bus ride) to visit TIbiao and Culasi. We booked with Katahum tours- both the Mararison Island Adventure & the Tibiao Eco-Adventure Tours.
From the moment we got off the bus on the Tibiao Fish Spa property, where Katahum Tours operates out of, we were treated like family. We were immediately greeted with a nice welcoming breakfast, as well as a dip in the fish spa, where they have several levels of 'fish' to choose from to exfoliate your feet. We dropped our stuff off in our room (a very basic hut style with two beds, a bathroom, and even AC and a fan!), and then joined our guides for the day - Ken and Sam- and headed out on the back of their motorbikes for Culasi. The ride there was most beautiful, and upon arriving we headed to the boat that would take us over to Mararison Island. Waters were very rough that day but made it with ease due to the locals driving the boat. Once on Mararison, we were greeted warmly and then taken on a tour of the island, hiking some of the tallest hills for fantastic views, and taking in the sites and lifestyle of the villagers who call it home. We enjoyed a lunch on the beach brought with us by Ken and Sam, and then hung out in the nice waters of the bay for a little while before heading back to the mainland. Dinner was provided back at TIbiao Fish Spa where we called it an early night after a quick fish spa.
The next morning we got up before sunrise, and Ken took us across the street to join the local fisherman out on their bamboo raft. Pulling in the nets was extremely hard work (not required to help, and dirty work if you do!) but the reward is fascinating at the variety of creatures they catch!! After fisihing we got cleaned up and then headed out on the bikes with Ken up the mountains (another beautiful ride!), where we stopped at a local village and then met our 'guide' to the waterfalls. A medium level hike, about 30 minutes, we were able to visit Bugtongbato Falls, which was a multi tier waterfall, of which we saw 3 tiers, all of which have a lagoon you can swim in! Getting to the 2nd, and then the 3rd tier is quite challenging, but worth it for sure (at LEAST get to the 2nd level, but the lagoon at the 3rd is really awesome and deep- can jump off the cliffs!). I only made it halfway up the 3rd before I got scared, and Ken was so caring and came back down to help me down. Headed back to a resort not far from the falls and enjoyed a nice Kawa bath.
Ken was truly the BEST guide I could ever hope for- always there, very positive and knowledgeable, and I never felt unsafe!!!!
Will definitely hope to take my fiance back here to show him all the beauty of northern Antique!!!

Three of us planned to DIY Antique, but we ended up with not only 1 but 2 Katahum tours. It's not because doing them ourselves is difficult, but because once we got to talk to Flord and his sister Fate, we were persuaded that they will make our trip more enjoyable.
They talk to us, entertained us with stories, and even took us back to the inn because there were no more tricycles at 7pm!(this is even before the day of tour itself, talk about hospitality). They made us feel like we're guests of their family, instead of strangers looking for adventure.
The packaged tours are very negotiable, and you won't feel shortchanged. Their guides are polite, helpful, and always had our comfort in mind.
I'd definitely recommend them to my friends!

As a local tourist, I was just as excited to explore and experience the adventure that is Tibiao, Antique. With it's numerous attractions and adventures such as, 1 kilometer Zipline, River Rafting and Canoeing, hanging Bridges, the falls on top of the mountain resort, the Lambaklad Fishing and the tresk in one of the most scenic place I have been in.
I was in the company of 19 of my foreign friend all coming from all parts of the globe, Belgium, England, Finland, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. I saw with the same eyes of wonder and anticipation all that was promised and more.
Catching your own fish in the open seas of Tibiao and cooking them for supper, was exciting in itself. The trek to the mountain resort where we stayed was just a sampler of how great an adventure we were to have the following day.
The trip to the falls, was exciting, yet way too exciting for me. Just make sure you have no fear of height when you want to do this as the steps are really steep. The soak in these large cauldrons heated by live flames underneath it was probably one of the most relaxing hot soaks I have ever had. Then more trekking, which made us realize how beautiful untouched nature really is, then the Zipline that leaves you feeling breathless with adrenaline and excitement, and you got to do it twice. The hanging bridge and to cap off the day of adventure was the swim in the crystal clear waters of the river.
For the price we paid for the whole, I have to say it was very affordable and reasonable! But the enjoyment we have derived from this trip I have to say was than what we actually paid for, and we have pictures to prove it!
This adventure, is trully worth every peso you paid, yet the satisfaction you get is more than what you actually expected.
