This is an incredible museum, with so many beautiful pieces, all beautifully displayed. There's something for everyone. Beautiful gardens and cafe located on the river. Take a few hours to enjoy it.

Located just outside the metropolitan city of Bangkok, this magnificent hidden gem of wood carvings collection will make your jaw drop. The multi-themed wood museums along with their peaceful lodging resort and cozy restaurant provide make a wonderful hide-away filled with a charming countryside setting with a serene river-living nearby. After touring the many mini-museums of wood carvings, one will not feel the need to travel elsewhere to experience the rich heritage of Thai and neighboring Asian countries’ woodwork. This is a new “must-see” for those who want to indulge themselves beyond the beautiful ancient city’s temples and exotic commercial activities of Bangkok.

An excellent place to visit for 2-3 hours and enjoys wood carvings divides into different Hal’s of different faiths. Hinduism mainly Lord Ganapati several statues different poses .
Lord Buddha statues . Chinese Goddess of Mercy & Christ statues and an outdoor Church .
Impressive stayed and lot of photo opportunities.
And a cafe with the river view.

We had the resort almost to ourselves as it was off season and it was great. Stunning surroundings and wood carvings every where you look. Staff were helpful and friendly, meals were delicious. Make the effort and get to this one. You will not be disappointed.

After visiting the floating market in Damnoen Saduk we departed to Woodland Muangmai. Thailand is very well known for its fine quality woodwork, which has remained one of its biggest fields of craftsmanship to date. In Woodland Muangmai we saw some of the very finest pieces of woodworking and craftsmanship. We were able to access up ten differently - themed rooms, each one showing a unique form or theme of wooden creations. We had enough time to marvel at the splendid works before we headed off to the Thai village within the location itself to enjoy a traditional meal to keep up with the atmosphere of our trip.

It might seem like a little out of the way, but this visit is truly worth it.
The wood work is just amazing!!!! craftsmanship at its best!
we were blessed to have the owner himself coming out to guide us along.
Many awe-inspiring statues. All lovingly done.

I was initially cynical about a trip to a wood museum- how wrong I was!
This is an incredible museum, with so many beautiful pieces, all beautifully displayed.

L'hôtel en bois est au milieu d'un musée sur l'art du bois. La visite du musée est incroyable. Les chambres très grandes.
2 points sont un peu limite:
- le petit déjuner, rien de spéciale
- les chambres sont climatisés mais ont des trous partout... on refroidi la thailande, dommage pour un lieu qui se dit proche de l'environnement.

2 km. off Highway 3233 on the bank of the Tha Chin River, easily accessible by private car or taxi
Universal design: **
no disabled parking, clearly visible ramp at least 80 cm. wide to the entrance with less than 1:12 slope, accessible by a wheelchair with a helper in most area, but high stairs to the second floor of the museum, no lift, threshold more than 10 cm. high between some rooms that required physical lifting, available disabled toilet.

standard cleanness in all areas with good maintenance.
Safety: ****
safety and securities in all area with a security guard at the entrance

all are well-trained, caring, professional and friendly, our lovely lady guide seems to be no tired telling us all the interesting information, during our short conversation with the owners, Mr. Narong and Dr. Nattakrit, he is so generous to make an apology for not providing the lift for elders and wheelchair persons, and of course many thanks for the complementary desserts and brownies!!

the museum composed of the well categorical zones such as rootstocks, wildlife, abyss, Buddhist, Christian, Hindo and local myths in air-conditioned rooms with the interesting multimedia presentation

the ticket prize firstly seems to be a little bit high, but after spending hours in this huge collection of the exceptional woodcraft masterpieces, have to say “really worth it”

Hi, how much is the entrance fee for adult / children into this museum? Do we need to stay in the resort to view the artwork? Thank you

Hi, I’m not sure of the current entry fee - Google may help you there. There’s a beautiful cafe in the grounds “What a view” set on the river - and if you buy a drink you can get a discount entry ticket.
You don’t need to stay at the resort. You can just turn up.
Check the closing time - I think it was 5pm from memory.
Hope this helps, and you enjoy it as much as I did.
