I had the best day at Ta Thai Cooking Class and am so pleased I followed the recommendation from other Trip Advisor reviewers. The class was easy to book via email and the website had lots of information regarding timings and the menu.
The cooking school is located in Ta’s lovely garden where you can pick fresh ingredients (e.g. lemongrass and butterfly pea) for the recipes. For each course, Ta would show me what to do and then I’d taste it before having a go myself. She was very patient and helpful and the whole team were such good fun. I really enjoyed learning more about Thai cuisine and making some of my favourites from scratch. If I may say so, the food was delicious and I was very full by the end.

My wife and I had an amazing afternoon at Ta’s home. We made some amazing food which included the freshest ingredients and easy to follow instructions, all within a clean and well organised outdoor kitchen. Ta and her son are super friendly hosts and made us feel very welcome. The property is set in an authentic and peaceful part of the Sukhothai region. This is an ideal experience for anyone looking to learn some new skills whilst gaining a better understanding of the local culture and lifestyle. Thank you for your warm hospitality!

Le hasard nous à conduit à prendre un cours de cuisine chez Ta Thaï cooking class et c'était juste excellent !!
l'accueil est plus que chaleureux, on à passé sans aucun doute l'un de nos meilleurs moment en Thaïlande lors de ce cours.
je recommande pour tout ceux qui souhaitent prendre des cours de cuisines thaï.
Bien sûr, inutile de préciser que tout ce que nous avons cuisiné/mangé était un régal.

I booked onto this group cooking class but that afternoon i was the only one attending.. bingo, a private class! Ta (the teacher) was very patient and showed me all little details of the cooking process and what various ingredients were made of or how the raw ingredients looked (I am a keen cook but I've never come across tamarind before, or the salty radish.. Ta showed me what they looked like and how you make tamarind juice etc). Also, some of her recipes are old-school recipes that new generation is losing touch and I've not seen a banana cake that we made anywhere on street market.The school is well equipped and they use the freshest ingredients. It's located about half an hour out of Sukhothai centre but they pick you up in an air-conditioned car, so it's quite convenient. I would recommend this class and would definitely do one again if i am around in the area.

I highly recommend to enroll for a cooking class at Ta’s. I was very lucky to find them on Facebook, they are a bit lost in the middle of nowhere 20km from Sukhothai new town but they will pick you up at your hostel/hotel for no additional charge !!
I was the only one that morning, so I had a very specific attention and I now master the Pad Thai and other delicious Thai dishes !
Family atmosphere, very friendly, nice place ! Just GO !!!

I visited Ta’s cooking class last New year eve. The kitchen and prep areas were nice and clean. The owner, Ta, was so welcoming and professional. Highly recommend to join the class.
Tips: This class is suit for all levels. No cooking skill is required. And, don’t forget to prepare a space in your stomach for your awesome Thai dishes.
