Pitambara Shakti Peeth is one of the finest spiritual places I have been to. It's calm and soothing. Maa baglamukhi's idol is mesmerizing and gives you peace by just looking at it.
The temple is near to DATIA railway station and around 45 minutes journey from Virangna Lakshmibai Railway Station, previously known as Jhansi Railway Station.
You can either onboard a local bus (costs you 50-80 Rs per person) for one side journey from Jhansi to Datia and vise-versa, or can hire a taxi which costs approx 1500 Rs INR for a return journey.
Temple is open for darshan as early as 5 AM and goes until 9 PM in evening.

Darshan was very smooth too and there was no hush hush like any other celebrated places.

Visited this temple on 14th October 2020. Very sacred temple with divine spirituality. I must state that I was very lucky to have darshan of the holy diety with in few minutes because of covid 19.
Must visit for all. Temple authorities are following all safety norms like social distancing, no touch anywhere , proper sanitizing etc etc.

Being my first visit to the shakti peeth, it was an awe-inspiring experience. It is said that whosoever visits the temple with a problem, the same is resolved. The ashram established by Maharaj ji (nothing is known about his background - as to where he came from etc etc) has two deities Pitambara devi and Dhumavati mai ...

This a holy place and not a tourist attraction as such. I reached here early morning at around 8 so the "darshan" was without waiting in any queue. The devotees can buy prasad at a nominal cost and can carry it to your home town. The prasad remains in good condition for 7 days. Photography, mobile phones not allowed inside the premises, so keep it in your car. Time spent if there is no queue - 15 mins. You can eat local food outside the temple. Washrooms not seen anywhere.

This Shakti Peeth - one of the 51 such located across the country is in the heart of Datia town which is half an hour by road from Jhansi. There are large crowds during Saturdays and during Navratras and during such occasions the queue for Darshan is long and parking too distant. The Elderly should avoid visit on such days.
There are several deities in this Peeth but main one is Peetambara Mata or Goddess Baglamukhi and Dhoomwati Mata. The Dhoomwati mata is said to be a Goddess for widowed women so the married women are discouraged to go in her temple .Her temple is open for darshan on Saturday only but on other days one can have Darshan at 8 am & 8 pm when Aarti is done.
The Peeth was established by Swamiji Maharaj of Datia and is open from 7 am to 9 pm (with 12 noon to 2pm closure inbetween). There is no entry Fee. Use of Camera & mobiles inside is not allowed.Aarti of the Swami also takes place daily.
There are temples of Shivlinga, Kal Bhairav, Parshuram, Hanuman and several other Gods in this complex.Inside this Shakti Peeth one feels a lot of positive energy seeping inside and is a must see for all with a religious blend of mind and those seeking solace.

1. Limited hotels are available at average amenities and avoid a big named worst hotel called "DADA MAHARAJ HERITAGE HOTEL"
2. If you can visit on Saturday, one diety goddess "Dhumravati", darshan also can be done since that particular temple opens only 3.00 PM to 9.00 PM on Saturdays only.
3.This station is well connected to Rail line. Either from Delhi directly to Datia or from Gwalior or Jhansi , you can reach comfortably.
4.Apart from Pettambara peeth, you can visit one heritage palace and near by Sonagiri hub of Jain temples are main attractions
5. Irrespective of seasons, carry your own water bottle since local water may not suit to you

Skrevet 8. mai 2016
No restrictions as such. Its very hot in Datia in summer. So visit in morning orecvening. Prasad can be purchased from temple counter or pvt shops at entrance of temple. One temple opens only onSaturday but there is rush on that day. Otherwise there you can have Darshan within no time and relax inside temple premises for sometime (if you want)
