A noteworthy gallery !!
The gallery is devoted to exhibiting the rich and various history and culture of the Sikh people group. The engineering of the structure is staggering and is an amazing sight in itself.
The shows inside the exhibition hall are well organized and give a thorough comprehension of Sikhism and its development through history.Additionally all around kept up clean, and the staff is agreeable and accommodating. The encompassing nurseries and the water body add to the magnificence of the spot and make it a quiet and peaceful experience for guests.
Virasat E Khalsa is a must-visit for anyone with any interest at all in more deeply studying Sikh history and culture. An exceptional and educational experience will leave you with a more profound appreciation for the Sikh people group and their commitments to the world.

Went while on a roadtrip with my husband.
Very impressive museum! Absolutely loved this and easily one of the best museums I've been to in India. Very realistic looking wax work statues.
Definitely worth visiting.

This is an utterly fantasitc museum. It is a higher standard museum I've ever seen in India and could be a Smithsonian museum for Sikh history and Sikhism. Truly a fully immersive experience. If you don't know anything about Sikhism, you get a crash course. If you do know, you get a refresher or you may feel a sense of pride on the quality, artistry, and throughtfulness put into the creation of this masterpiece. The absolute must is the audio tour - which is complementary but you need to have an ID for each headset so make sure you have it. The audio tour is written so well, narrated excellently, and is rivetingly told - as Sikh histoy deserves. The museum is free as well but you to wait in line for a ticket. (And don't be so unlucky to go during their lunch break like we did because we waited for nearly 30 minutes just to get a free ticket to get into the museum which seems totally counterintuitive.) I felt so grateful, humbled, and truly proud that this museum exists and that they did such an incredible job creating it. A must see if you're a pilgrim traveling to Anandpur Sahib or just curious and are in the region.

I would compare this to any museum in the US or Europe. It was so well done. We got a tour guide (after requesting the management) and really hope they have more in person tour guides because it took the museum to the next level!
Now lets talk about what it is...
As you enter museum, its the culture of punjab and that ramp is just glorious!
Then its the history of the 10 Gurus. Then Marahaja Ranjeet Singh, Then Partition. Honestly, it was all amazing.
My favorite story was why Sardars to Chabeel in the summer!
oh, btw, the entry is free. You just need to show your ID.

Comprehensive view of Sikh and Composite Punjab History. Very impresive presentation and explained in simple language. Sikhs have been warriors and it is sad that this glorious history is not known to many Indians.

Virasat-E-Khalsa,
The magnificent edifice, designed by renowned Israeli-Canadian Architecht, Moshe Safdie to commemorate the tercentenary of the birth of the Khalsa.
Contrary to other Sikh sites, the roofs of this Heritage museum are concave- shaped receptors facing the sky, sheathed in stainless steel, they reflect the sunlight towards the Gurdwara and the Fort.
Spread across a vast area of 6500 ac of land, Virasat-e-Khalsa museum narrates the story of Sikhism and Punjab using latest technology and hand-crafted artefacts
The museum has been envisioned as the world’s largest historical and cultural museum dedicated to a single community. As one wanders across its campus, the museum transports you to the riveting journey of 550 years of Sikh history via its many galleries.
It’s a world class museum where audio guides, fibre optic cables, 3-D movies and pneumatically controlled mannequins rub shoulders with traditional crafts like Bagh phulkari and zardozi, that left me spell bound !

If you have not visited it yet, you are missing a world class story telling on Sikhism and freedom movement. Paintings are incredible so is the depiction. The landscaping is awesome. Water spaces and building architecture is also superb. Go with your family specially with children to make them proud of their heritage.
