If you are looking for an experienced hiker to lead you on trek through the natural areas around Cape Town you could not possibly find a more knowledgeable and friendly guide. He can suggest hikes beyond the usual tourist attractions and also introduce you to the unique flora and fauna of this fascinating ecosystem. Highly recommended.
Bring water, lunch and a warm jacket as weather can change quickly.

Tim is a very experienced hiker and knows all the best routes to take. He is also very knowledgeable about the Fauna and Flora.

We booked quite far in advance and Tim was very helpful and patient with our requests for information and advice via email and whatsapp.
We departed for the hike from the Orange Kloof tented camps and visited Woodhead tunnel and returned via Hell's Gate (an awesome rock scramble to the bottom of a waterfall).
Tim was very friendly and informative about the terrain and flora in the area. He has a wealth of knowledge on the area and was very conscious of our safety on the mountain.

A well organised hike, with Tim keeping us informed as to what will be required. As this was my first overnight hike and in a different region, I appreciated his attention to detail and to our safety.
Also with the use of Facebook and Whatsapp we could get to know each other a little before setting off into the hike.
It was great fun especially the Mountain Masterchef Challenge.
I plan to do more of his hikes.

A Well Organised hike with Tim Lundy, attention to all safety details was met and exceeded all expectations.
We were being tracked by emergency services which Tim was keeping tabs on.
Tim's idea of The Mountain Master Chef competition was an absolute success and had everyone working hard to out class and out cook the next contender. The race was on to cook a more exciting and interesting meal.
'Pack like a Pauper, and eat like a Prince' was Tim's parting advice on the introductory evening held a week prior to departure. What a great evening on top of a mountain in a cottage with a view that is hard to beat
All in all a great experience and I look forward to the next exciting trip with Cape Town Hiking and Tim Lundy.

Tim is an expert on Table Mountain. Whether it's flowers, lizards, rainfall or fire - you will learn something new when hiking with him. He knows the ins and outs and is also a professional rescue worker, which gives great peace of mind. Highly recommended for both families and adventurous, technical hikers coming to Cape Town and wanting to learn more about the mountain.

We couldn't have asked for more. Tim is a knowledgeable and friendly guide, someone who knows Table Mountain very well. It really helps to be led by someone who has a real passion for the outdoors and for the flora and fauna in the area. We would definitely like to use Tim again when we return to the Mother City.

My hotel recommended Tim as a guide to take me up Table Mountain as he was near my age. We had a great hike and were lucky with great weather! Hiking with Tim was like hiking with a longtime friend and he was very knowledgable of the mountain. After talking to me about my abilities, type of shape I was in and my timetable we decided to hike the Platteclip Gorge trail. It was a scenic hike and fairly challenging. In just over 2 1/2 hrs we were at the top. Having a bad knee on my part slowed us down. And this trail can normally be done in 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. I highly recommend Tim!
