The public car park opposite was close by and not expensive. There were so many exhibits which were well labelled and informative. Everything was well presented. The pot collection was extensive and mostly beautiful. Nice to see Ozzie the Owl in the flesh.

An amazing place, free entry but a donation appreciated. A real showcase for the many things that Stoke on Trent has achieved. The spitfire and the stories of the heroes of the battle of Britain brought to life in a very moving and poignant way. The many exhibits are very educational and informative and it gives you a real sense of the history of the city. I do not live in Stoke on Trent but everyone who lives in the city should be rightly proud of this wonderful place. There is a cafe with outside seating as well. Just wonderful

The first time I have been back since they built the extension for the resident Spitfire. Absolutely brilliant 🙂🙂
It's incorporated with the cafe which works really well. All the other exhibitions are great too, the pottery, the private art collection complete with Lowry's 🙂

This is my local museum and its been a while since my last visit. It's really interesting with lots of exciting displays on offer. From our local history of pottery to the vikings which links in with the Staffordshire hoard that was found and is now on display. For visitors to the area and even local folk it's a nice place to visit to explore the past and also your local history of the area and the best thing is it's free but they do ask for a donation but that's entirely your choice.

Spent a few hours going round this fantastic museum this week. Can barely believe its free to go in but do ask for donations.
The displays of Minton and other pottery were just fantastic. The Staffordshire hoard is unbelievable. How on earth were these pieces are all those years ago???.
We paid £3 to go into The Titanic exhibition and was well worth the money.
Spent 3 hours going round but could easily take twice that long if you want to look in depth.
The spitfire was amazing and there is a nice cafe on the lower ground floor.
Can highly recommend a visit to this wonderful museum.

Have not visited for many years but was in the area so decided to visit . Entrance is free and can just give a voluntary donation . We both really enjoyed the visit there was plenty to see . I particularly liked the natural history section and seeing all the pottery . The cafe was closed when we visited so can not comment on this . There is also a small gift shop . Would recommend a visit if you have a couple of hours to spare .

Being local, I have been visiting the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery for fifty years and it never ceases to hold my interest. The museum exhibits our proud cultural/industrial heritage. Recently, our new Spitfire Exhibition has opened up and is second to none. Not many people are aware that Spitfire inventor Reginald Mitchell hailed from North Staffordshire. The café area is also well worth a visit as it is also themed on WW2, background Swing Music and all. Not forgetting of course that the Ceramics and Natural History Galleries always grab my attention as do the historical local shop displays.

Would highly recommend.

The natural world was really loved by myself and 6yr old granddaughter. I have visited here many times and wanted my granddaughter to enjoy the room settings like the chemist, school room, pub and terraced house kitchen and scullery. The Victorian kitchen should have been a highlight as her great great grand parents had one like it and I wanted to explain it BUT WHY HAVE THEY PUT A NASTY HUGE CAT on the table? We are CAT lovers but that one with its teeth was frightening to a little girl and ruined the whole exhibit. It has not been there before on my visits so needs removing. We thought the Spitfire exhibition was first class.

The museum is excellent. Well laid out with loads to see. There’s a simple trail and hunt for children too. Probably 2-3 hours worth of entertainment here for a rainy day.

The let down is the cafe. Slow service and most things on the menu not available when we visited. It was quicker for the staff to list what they had rather than what they’d run out of. No decaf options for coffee.

I would visit again but would eat and drink elsewhere.
