We were blessed with darshan in April. The main temple complex is super ancient seems to be made of thick black basalt rock. The vibe of this temple is something else...would strongly suggest reading up on the history of the temple before visiting the place online. Do not pay the villagers for parking beyond 10-20 rupees as there is some sort of scam there....be prepared to stand in line if you select main days of importance as there will be crowds from all over the state. Also will suggest going there during the morning as the afternoons in the summer might get a bit too hot.... overall strongly suggest visiting this temple!

There were two lines- VIP and General, both were terribly managed. We were in the VIP line, people were cutting in the line in from of the CRPF and they did not say anything at all. There was so much garbage lying around where the lines were standing. There was broken tents, chips packets, biscuit packets, diapers and even a beer bottle in the area made of devotees to stand. There was no one to manage the queues. In such a big temple, there were hardly 8-10 CRPF. There is no one to ask any question or to help. The dirt around the temple was disgusting. As beautiful the temple, it is not managed well, there were a lot of spider webs inside the temple area.

Extremely poor Queue management by the Temple Authrities. I don't know why the queues were held up for 4-5 Hours. Requesting the authorities to detest corruption at the gates of temple. Holding up lines clearly indicates that the tenple authorities are in connivance with the locals demanding ridiculous amount of money for quick darshan. I sincerely hope that the authorites takes note of it pl.

Seeing Shiv Shambhu was the only grace else typical of entire Maharashtra the temple managed by the trust is pathetic. Reached the temple at 9 am on a Saturday morning and took the general queue. The darshan happened 5 hours later at 2 pm. Why? Because they stop the general queue completely for accommodating the VIP queue for a mere 200 bucks and that one also takes 3 hours. The temple is not maintained inside and outside despite earning up to 10 crores in a day with the huge number of people visiting. Typical of Maharashtra, temple trust is ruled by idiots and they care about the money. There are older people, 60+ and children below 10 years of age who have to patiently wait, just because they join a general queue. Maharashtra is the worst in temple maintenance and management and all the money is pocketed by local political parties and people. The pandits literally are trying to sell some puja to the naive common people

The architecture of the temple stuns you beyond belief. Even if one is not religious, one must come over to admire the whole architecture and the stunning stone sculptures that pulls you into history and even mythological history.
For those who tend to feel a bit claustrophobic, a word of caution. Try avoiding weekends and every Monday apart from some special days as it can get really crowded. The darshan may take longer than usual. However, expect rush at times even during weekdays. Even VIP darshan has a line these days owing to temple tourism catching up across India.

We came here with great expectations and were very disappointed.
At the time of our visit (1/19/24) there were already problems getting there. There were stalls, street vendors... blocking the footpath and it took a while until we finally stood at the entrance gate. Here, however, we were sent back by a supervisor to pay a ‘donation’ (in the prescribed amount) and have it acknowledged. When we finally arrived at the site, we had to join a queue in which we had to wait for a good hour.
Reason: This 'queue' went through snakes through the courtyard of the Trimbakeshvar Temple and was very similar to the metal structures you see in slaughterhouses where cattle are herded into. By the time we saw this through, turning back was already impossible. A shame!
When we finally reached the Garbhagriha, it was impossible to take a look 'inside'. It was the mass of people you were in and the speed at which you were pushed past that was to blame.
Since they kindly made it easier for us older people to get back, we were at least allowed to walk across the courtyard alone and we were also allowed to admire the complex from the outside.
Our impression: Great and worth visiting - but only if it is certain that there are not such crowds here. This was in no way an adequate visit to a sacred object.

I visited this temple it was so good but it was outside from the city and the auto was taking 500-600rs Charges. So I came to know about ShaktiEv who give electric scooter on rent like Ola so I just paid 500rs for per day. So whoever is going to Nashik must take Scooter on rent from them.

Please note: the visit to the interior of the ancient temple is reserved for Hindus. We pack up
On a Sunday, a crazy atmosphere, it's teeming in all directions. The parking lots are full. There are temple shops on all sides, and there is no risk of starving. We are the only Westerners. Access to the temple is already closed at 10 a.m. because there are too many people and we are only letting people in slowly. The wait is estimated at... 1 hour and a half!
The temple is very old. we are assured that it is the oldest in India. (Okay, but I recommend going to Karnataka for that)
But the spectacle is in the crowd, in the small temples on the sides, in the market at the back, and finally in the pool where you can purify yourself. Offerings of flowers and other fruits for the god and other deities are sold almost everywhere.
The pool is another colorful spectacle: dozens of people come to immerse themselves in it to purify themselves. The water is... murky but I am assured that it is sacred because it is purified every day because the source is close. Mmmm yeah.
There are temples higher up, closer to the source but we didn't have the courage to climb the few hundred steps!

This Shiv temple is one of 12 Jyotirlingas and situated in Trimbak, Nasik. One should plan for at least 2 days to cover main temple and all nearby places. One can see the nature at it's best during rainy season but with it's challenges during same season. During Pitra Paksh, this place is overcrowded as Shradha puja is performed here. Que in main temple starts before 03.00 am though doors open at 05.00am. They also have a facility of early darshan (with some fees) but that was also overcrowded (equivalent to normal darshan).
