I visited Cape Cornwall for the first time recently. I was there maybe 3 hours and spent the time walking, taking loads of photos, watching a couple of fishermen working, climbing to the top of a very steep, high hill before finishing off with a piece of cake and a cup of coffee at the little cafe. I met Annie from Ireland who was working at the National Trust car par. What a lovely, friendly and welcoming lady!!

After a bit of a narrow road down to the National Trust car park, this was a lovely spot. Walked up to the chimney via a steep stepped path round the back, and back down by the tiny church. Finished off with one of the best cups of coffee I've had at the little kiosk in the carpark. They served the coffee in royal commemorative mugs, which was cute.

We've been coming to Cornwall for many years but this was our first visit to Cape Cornwall. We walked around the headland and then onto Kenidjack Castle exploring some of the dis used mines along the way. The kids were particularly happy to see donkeys along the path (will remember to bring carrots the next time we come). It did rain a bit which made some of the path slippy, but the views were still absolutely stunning. Car park is free for National Trust members, otherwise you'll need some coins for the ticket machine. A really lovely day and I'm sure we'll be back to explore more next year.

Geographically just next to "Lands end" we liked this place much more. Funny to have a chimney of a former tin-mine on top of the hill instead of the expected lighthouse.
Thanks to the super super nice and friendly Annie NT, who welcomes the visitors on behalf of the National Trust at the parking lot, we came even twice: in the morning and in the afternoon, when the sky turned blue.

Large National Trust car park, free for members, just by Cape Cornwall with great views out to sea. There is a small independent cafe and toilets on site, accessed down a small lane from St Just. The steep walk is the quickest way up, about 10 minutes walk to the top. There are benches dotted about the paths, there is a less steep path with a small ruined ‘chapel’ oratory across a field to the right of the road to the chimney. Land’s end and lighthouse beyond, are easily visible to the south and mines to the north.

This is Cornwall, no sight of Rick Stein! Just mile after mile of dramatic cliffs plunging into an often stormy looking atlantic. Waves in the winter are awe inspiring, and even in summer large swells make swimming here dangerous....thankfully a small Lido has been built into the shore line if you are brave enough to walk across a very rocky, precarious beach.

free car parking for National Trust members with a great little cafe in the car park. A short but steepish walk to the top of the cape (45 mins total max at a slow pace), fabulous 360 degree views - several people had taken a picnic.

We stayed at a lovely spot in a barn conversion. This is our second trip here and we absolutely loved it there.
Our Jeni was very attentive ensuring we arrived safely, checking we have everything we need.
The views over the cape are beautiful and the sunsets are something to be seen. During both our stays last year and this year the weather was perfect but for the occasional rolling mist. This did not spoil anything.
The walks are idyllic and a must for this area of Cornwall. It’s worth taking your bikes too. We did a few rides around the area.
The local town St Just is a small bustling place, the people are very friendly, the food very good and plenty of shops for any necessities.
We can’t recommend this place enough.
We will definitely return.

We visited Cape Cornwall for an explore while on holiday in Penzance. Parked in the National Trust car park which was cheap and has toilets although these were closed as we visited in the evening. Went for an explore by the rocks and sea, there was a small tidal pool to look in before heading back up to the tower on the hill where there were great scenic views all around. We were lucky enough to spot two small snakes at the top, maybe because it was quieter in the evening with not many people around at that time. At the tower there is a plaque that tells you that Heinz bought the cape to save it from developers and giving it to the people of the UK. Cape Cornwall is the only cape in England and one of only two in the UK the other being Cape Wrath in Scotland. Fascinating and beautiful!
