David was great!
He recommended a great pub for lunch and took us to places the big bus tours cannot get to.
We got to see so much more than our travel companions.

Steve was incredible. He took us on a day trip to Stonehenge, New Sarum and Salisbury Cathedral from London. Also, his restaurant selection for lunch was excellent. Steve made the day most memorable! We are so pleased! The staff was was so helpful helping with the arrangements!!

We had a marvelous day with our guide Eddie . We saw so much more than anticipated. He provided us with great insights while we toured and we learned a lot about each place we stopped. Oxford was a favorite. cotswolds just as charming as we had read. Trust in a company that delivers what they advertise.

My wife and I went on a great tour with Edmond. He was a great guide, very knowledgeable and a great chap. He showed us some additional sights along the way, including a pub for some lunch and a tour of Salisbury. This was our first trip but we are already planning our trip back and that will include another ride with Eddie.

This is our second tour with David Stubbs and as always it was wonderful. We went to Cambridge this time and had a fabulous day. David feels like an old friend and I will book him again. You can customize any tour within reason and David will handle it. Next time I think we will do a multiple day trip with him! Well worth it!

Our tour began by Hyde Park and went to Canterbury, Leeds Castle, Dover Castle, and the Dover Cliffs (Our plan), plus some unplanned stops (suggested by our wonderful driver of villages, churches, and scenic overlooks the bus tours will never see.) This was the sort of tour you hope for when you begin planning a vacation. The driver was on time, extremely knowledgeable of the locations we’d planned to see, everything in between, history, the best dining options based on our preferences, and the size of the van allowed our family of five to do more than any large group bus tour. The van was very comfortable, but small enough to take scenic back roads, drive right up to sights, stop at smaller locations never visited by bus tours, and make extra stops to appreciate sights or scenes the bus groups will never see from the highway. Compared to the price of individual bus tour tickets, the little extra we paid for meant more stops at a much more leisurely pace, without working off the herd’s timeline. The driver made suggestions based on our priorities of time allowances for each stop we wanted to do and they we always spot on. If you are investing time and money hoping for a memorable experience, London Country Tours is the way to go. You’ll see and experience what you want to see, in a way that’s enjoyable and memorable, not what is the most effective or convenient for the large bus company. Courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, and flexible. We highly recommend them.

Cannot rate it because they never showed up at our hotel. Supposedly, the driver had an accident on his way to our hotel. Even if this is true, after 45 minutes of waiting for them at the hotel, they never contacted us to explain the situation. I had to contact the tour operator myself to know what had happened and request a refund. I would not use this operator for future guide tours. We also had to request a refund for the entrance tickets to the site since they are dated tickets. Fortunately, we were able to book a trip with another site for the next day.

Hi.
We are sorry for this situation.
I'm not sure why he keeps saying supposedly.
The driver was involved in a small accident.
Which I was not told of till the time of the tour.
I contacted the person to say.
We can still do the tour.
This would be 1 hr late.
He got very angry and said I want my money back.
I also asked about the next day.
He said they could not do it.
Yet he booked with someone else.supposardly.
I gave him a full refund straight away.
He did not have to ask the agent.
I even said I would refund his tickets to stonehenge.
So sorry we were late.
You can't give a bad review of something you have never had.?

We had 2 days with Maha as our personal driver! First day he took us to Oxford and The Cotswolds. The second day was Windsor and Stonehenge. He went above and beyond for our family and was friendly and always ready to pick us up!
We felt very safe with him at the wheel even in the crazy London traffic and changing weather conditions! He was always prepared whether it was having water for us, tissues, you tube videos to watch and an extra umbrella to use! Great restaurant recommendations and very professional!! Highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful day trip from London. David was our guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the area as we drove along making for a entertaining and informative ride. David provided us with suggestions on how to best get in to the sites, including ticket purchases and order in which to see things to avoid tour bus crowds. The vehicle is comfortable and wifi is available. He gave us historical information about both of the sites we visited and gave a great dining recommendation. Chatting with David along the drive was a pleasure and made the time pass very quickly on what could have been a long ride. Thank you David for a terrific day out, I would definitely use David again for a tour when I’m back in town, and certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a guide!

For some reason.viator have hijacked our site and are advertising tours for viator.
Much more expensive. And seems all from the same company.
Please ignore these.
We are trying to get these removed.

On Wednesday, September 16th, 2015, I want to join a few people in a mini-van for day tour of Stonehenge, Bath, and perhaps villages or Cotswalds or other ruins of interest. Not Oxford, Blenheim or Windsor etc., which some tours add on to Stonehenge/Bath.
I will be staying in Mayfair. One adult.
Can't figure out how to get prices or sign up for London Country Private Tours. Your posted reviews are excellent, but other companies make it easier to book!

I agree with the above response. If you contact David through his website, he will reply using his personal email. Be sure to let him know specifically what you would like to see and do. He will make suggestions to make the most of your day. Personally, his tours are the best; speaking from having taken 6 other tours during the years. Good luck!
