Visiting from the UK. Headed for the observation tower which gave superb views of the mountain range. Definitely worth a visit

I did Tibberoowuccum after I chickened out of doing Mt Beerwah with a hiking group. It’s an easy hike up to the summit- half hour up, 20 mins back approx. & up at the top you get some excellent 360 degree views of all of the Glasshouse Mountains - Beerwah, Coonowrin, Ngungun & Tibrogargan (which is just next door). There is a tiny scramble to the summit but it’s not scary or difficult. I only saw 2 couples on the walk which is because Tibberoowuccum is a hike less travelled - there is no signage and finding the trail requires research! You enter via a gate 200m North from the Tibro carpark and keep right for about 200-300m until just before the track dips down into a gully - the track up is in the left before the dip and is easy to follow. A nice short easy hike for maximum rewards!

A couple of spectacular peaks but left wondering is that it. Towns are very ordinary, not worth visiting. Very underwhelming, massively overhyped by tourist guide blurbs.

Beautiful one night stay in this area with a great friend. Enjoyed a couple of National Park walks, a stay in a comfortable town house, dinner & drinks at the tavern, and a fabulous breakfast. I'd forgotten just how beautiful this corner of Australia is. Must return, could definitely have stayed longer if not for commitments.

Trachyte circuit- great views, stunning track, however the signs for where to go weren’t great. We got lost and had to look up where to go. We weren’t able to complete the track due to the lack to proper signs.

A pretty stunning National Park with great views from a distance and several different perspectives close up.
There are several walks around the Glass House Mountains National Park. Be aware, a few are easy however, most are moderate and some much more difficult and mainly being for rock climbing/ abseiling.
They are spread out over large area from Elimbah (north of Caboolture) all the way up to Beerwah.
The walk along the Mount Ngungun Summit track being one of the easiest ones.
You could easily spend several days just here in this region if you really wanted to.

You are destined for spectacular views of the Glasshouse Mountains from the fire tower (used to detect and manage fires throughout the surrounding forest) at the top of Mt Beerburrum, but getting there requires some work!
The Mt Beerburrum Summit walk is shortish at 3.5km return however it includes 750m of very steep, concrete track on the way up which had me huffing & puffing. The track is very pretty and starts with wet eucalypt forest and heads into drier open forest as you ascend.
The track was well signed and was very lightly trafficked when I tackled it in December last year making it a peaceful experience in nature.

Beautiful NP with plenty of walks for all ages and fitness.
Unless you are experienced with climbing, stick to the walking trails or Ngungun.
So many rescues at Tibro and Beerwah with serious injuries as these are not WALKS.
You need to be experienced, be very comfortable with heights and exposure with adequate water.
Do not attempt in Wet or Dark for you and the rescue teams safety.

It is the most impressive Mountains National Park on Australia's Eastern Coast. Located just about 70kms from Brisbane, Glasshouse Mountains National Park is a big and beautiful nature Bonsai in the Hinterland region of Sunshine Coast, created by Volcanic activities at least 25 millions years ago. Those dom and pinnacle shaped mountain peaks dominate the lush and otherwise flat landscapes. The secnery is breathtaking. We visited this Park in June 2019, regrettably we did not go for hiking due to the closures of some mountains, as well as our own schedules.
Nonetheless, Glasshouse Mountain Lookout and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve had provided us with wonderful Panoramic views over the National Park, along with easy access, parking and other necessary facilities. Great experiences. Recommended by me.
