We have walked here nearly every day for the last five years. We realise this is a sub tropical climate but there are always leaves, mud and branches on the paths which are cracked and dirty. We have never seen any clean up or maintenance crews here - apart from occasional mowing and the recent improvement works. Timber fencing is mouldy and splinterd. Toilets are dated, few, and filthy.

We have just come back from a month in Tasmania where paths and facilities are well built and maintained. The contrast is striking. BCC could learn a lot from them.
Overall, disappointing.

Not a good parking area. The place is too dark in the evenings, with only a few lamps, countless mosquitos flying around, and oftentimes smells like rotten eggs from the piping system running directly underneath the park.

A pivotal point to place yourself after exploring the city, or taking in a walk or run. Kangaroo Point is one of the best spots to ‘drink it all in’ and the view of Brisbane at night is quite spectacular. My daughter and I enjoy any time spent here, often after a day of adventure, travel and fun. Whether it be to dangle our legs over the wall, to share a story, or simply absorb the view, this location is great place of beauty and reflection. What you capture through the lens will be reward of another special day spent in a prominent place and with those who you love 💜 red 🌹

A viewpoint that unveils the beauty of the city at night. The city lights enhance the beauty of the city. It is my favorite view point.

Glorious riverside location with all sorts of activities clustered here, watch out for the loonies on the path but there's plenty of good space downstairs. Ignore the top section though - great views but just a narrow strip on a surprisingly noisy road and nearly bereft of any shelter from the frequent rain. Can't believe they put so many bbqs up there.

I enjoyed the view of the city and river ... but also watching the climbers maneuvering the cliffs with their ropes

The area is amazing but unfortunately more and more dog owners are bringing their violent dogs to the area. Approximately once a day I see a dog without a leash and approximately twice a day I see violent dogs (where owners usually say "it doesn't bite" while doing everything to try to keep the dog from attacking you). No wonder there are so many dog attacks in Australia when the authorities even lost control of the amount of dog attacks in the inner cities.

We enjoyed very much a relaxing brunch looking over Brisbane River. Parking could be a problem. Public toilets were clean.

Kangaroo Point, on the eastern side of the Brisbane River, is one of Brisbane's oldest suburbs, and the site of Queensland's first penal settlement. It’s situated just outside the city above the Brisbane River, and is probably best known for the sheer rocky rhyolite cliffs of the east bank of the river. Beneath the cliffs, by the water, is the delightful Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park.

Some people go for the thrill of abseiling down the cliffs, or for rock climbing. They are certainly popular outdoor activities at the Kangaroo Point cliffs. However, I would think most visitors would go for the great view of Brisbane’s burgeoning skyline and the river below. The views are lovely, and much enjoyed by photographers. There’s a number of lookout points on the cliffs, and lots of spots for a picnic in the park below.

At night the cliffs light up with tiny lights, creating a lovely riverside vista, especially if you are riding the CityCat; they also allow climbers to use the area at night.

It’s a pleasant walk indeed in the park, and on the cliffs above, and one you should do if you are visiting Brisbane. We walked from the centre of Brisbane through the City Botanic Gardens and crossed the river on the Goodwill pedestrian bridge. We followed Lower River Terrace until we could access the boardwalk which follows the river beneath the cliffs, in Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park. Then we climbed the first of two sets of stairs up the cliff; there were about 100 steps, and they reached a little rotunda at the top. There were excellent views of the city skyline and the river from this vantage point. We followed River Terrace along to a pleasant cafe high on the cliffs overlooking the city; there are toilet facilities here, and it's a decent spot for a drink or some food. Beside the cafe was a curious statue of a boy scout, celebrating 75 years of scouting in Queensland. Past the cafe here were some curious street art features, including a tall metal sculpture called ‘Venus Rising’, and a colourful worm-like creation called ‘Wormholes’. You’ll also find the activity centre for rock climbing here as well. We continued on to walk across the Storey Bridge.

It’s a pleasant walk, below and above the cliffs, and should be done at a leisurely pace to appreciate the fine views the walk affords.
