One of the best things to do in Port Douglas. Steve was informative, attentive and great at explaining how to ride an electric mountain bike (we are experienced road cyclists). The scenery on the drive up was sensational. The track was varied and beautiful and we appreciated the fruit and snacks on the way. The ride along the paths on the way back to PD was also fun. A really great experience.

We have just finished a two-day, one-night mountain bike adventure with Bike N Hike Adventure Tours. The experience is out of this world. Our adventure included swimming under a waterfall, 4WD adventure, learning about the history of the area, and of course, plenty of mountain biking. Steve is also an excellent coach, teaching us how to improve our riding, as well as looking after the bikes, changing tyres, training for fitness, etc along the way. The bikes are dual suspension, and have dropper posts. The mountain bike park has more than 50 km of purpose build single track, with a great mixture of green and blue track (some of the blue, has sections of black). It is great for any type of rider (novice, intermediate or expert) ... you can always be within your own ability. And after a long day of riding, we had plenty of delicious food to come back to.
One helpful suggestion - I (aka Dad) had a dual suspension bike and my son (aged 11) had an electric mountain bike. It worked out really well, as it meant we could do some of the more challenging hill climbs and downhills.
Highly recommended and will definitely be back again! Thank you very much Steve.

I hoped to do a tour with these guys but Covid stopped that. Instead they set me up with a super bike and a few maps and ideas and i did my own thing for the day. I got good use out of it and enjoued the variety port Douglas, the hills and the beech riding. The after hours drop off was handy as i didn't have a time limit on my return

We had such an amazing experience on this bike and hike. Our guide Steve was super supportive of both of us as we got our confidence up on the awesome bikes setup for us. We couldn’t believe how much fun it was to ride. Although the track was a a tad technical at the beginning, his guidance and how to ride helped us through. His knowledge of MTB’ing is second to none. By the end of the tour we both felt like pros! Well not quite, but certainly learnt how to manage some pretty gnarly terrain and enjoy the journey through some beautiful landscape. And it was well worth it. Hartley’s falls was exceptional! Secluded, cool and deep! It wasn’t a long ride to our next stop at the flat rocks. A magical place with stunning rock pools and little waterfalls cascading over smooth granite all to our selves. We even saw the resident caretaker freshwater turtle which was the icing on the tour.
If you want to learn skills on a mountain bike , challenge yourself and see and swim in some great waterfalls. Then this is the tour for you.

What an excellent, fun day. The ride was a challenge but the guides were so helpful and encouraging. The swim at Hartley Falls was worth the effort - so beautiful. Thanks Thorpe!!!

Steve , Thorpy and his team were fantastic.
Steve picked us up exactly on time from our accommodation. On the drive up to the top of the Bump Track, Steve entertained us ( group of 13 ranging from 10 to 55 years old) with stories and some of the history of the area. We had a good briefing ( technical tips ,do’s and dont’s) prior to setting down the track , A couple of rest stops along the way, fruit, water, snacks . The eMTBs were fantastic and made the uphill sections easy for the unfit blokes ( me). The track had a great cross section of trails , difficult, medium to easy , The Equipment supplied was top notch, The whole experience was fantastic, I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. We went out exploring today with Steve and did the hidden lagoon and bump track. Steve and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our ride. The bikes were fabulous, the ride even better. Accommodating for all ages and very knowledgeable guides One of the best MTB experiences we have ever had!

I'd have to say the crew running this show are very professional. Moreover, there was definitely some aspects of the service that went beyond "professional", such intangibles such as an extremely positive, boisterous & exuberant energy of the young lady Nicole. Being overtired unfortunately before the ride became a non-issue as the day progressed as the energy was quite contagious & empowering. Owner Steve really took the time to address specific technical problems in a very practical & down to earth sense & I found this level of personal attention is often lacking from some more "commercial" operations.

Just did this today, and I loved every minute of it (the hills were a challenge for me, but worth it for the downhill fun!). Steve gives tips to those who are mountain bike beginners, is very informative along the route, which is great, and makes sure everyone enjoys themselves. It was a challenge, but worth it for the views, and the fun. I wanted to feel like I'd worked out, and I certainly did! To finish on 4-mile beach is incredible. Never done anything like this before, and I'd do it again, for sure! Thanks for the wonderful refreshments too. All so professional.

We were lucky enough to have Thorpy (apols if incorrect spelling buddy!!) and Steve as our guides. Great local knowledge, very informative, great coaches for building confidence on MTB!
The Bump Track was spectacular - and yes, bumpy!!! Great rolling sections, some steep up’s and a few steep downs. If you listen to Steve & Thorpy’s instructions - no problems!!!!!
Gaz our bus driver met us at numerous places with more water, fresh fruit, a joke or two and the offer to jump in the bus if anyone felt out of their depth. No-one bailed on our ride!
We can not recommend this mountain bike half day trip highly enough - but you HAVE to get Steve & Thorpy as your tour guides!!!!! Thanks so much boys - you made our day 😎

Good Afternoon! I am planning a trip in early June for our family of 5 (including 3 teens). I am also planning a day in the Daintree Rainforest and I'm wondering if the Bike and Hike tour would be "redundant"? Should we do both? Thank you!

Thank you for your enquiry.
The Daintree Rainforest and the Bike N Hike are two completely different Tours. The Bike N Hike is riding and hiking to a beautiful waterfall and a flat rock area with a jacuzzi. It is not located in the rainforest. If you want to ride a mountain bike in the rainforest, you can join our Bump Track half day ride tour which involves riding through the ancient Daintree Rainforest.
