The food was great and the view of Sydney from high up was pretty cool. There was so much different food to pick from I didn't have room for dessert.

Just returned from the 3 day wildflower drive through the wheat belt.
This is the third trip of w.a. In the last few months. First to Albany. Second to shark bay. Now the wildflowers. All of them long drives. Hard to book accomodation to all areas. This time stayed in Mukinbudin. Wildflowers along the edge of the roads.
Not fields of them like on the advertisement. Very colourful. Pleasant drive even though it is long. Relaxing and calming. Mulka In pressed me. Stayed in a railway carriage at the caravan park. Surprised. Very clean only 45 dollars a night.
Lots of caravans there. Had to use shared shower and toilet block but was ok Extremely clean.
Music at night from a singer. Around the campfire.
We had a real nice meal at the tavern, however did wait awhile to get it. But worth it in the end. Friendly people. My biggest problem in the wheat belt was nothing open on a weekend trip.
Shops closed information offices closed. Hard to find anywhere to get a cooked breakfast. When you do find anywhere it was fast fried food in a garage or a small coffee shop. the staff Running these shops . looked like they did not want to be there or serve you. They say visit the wheatbelt but they need to open up the facility,s. Then on the way back stopped in York they no how to run a country location. This week they had to car and bike vintage show. The town was packed all shops opened but the food outlets couldn’t keep up with the demand. One extreme to the other.

Dear Tripadviser, although you have deleted the review of 278shannent, please do not delete my honest review. You seemed to have done this for no reason.
I believe the lady was shocked that the tour bus did not come with seat belts as she seemed to be a foreigner. she was sat by the driver which caused an aggressive conversation between the two, I assume. After we got off the bus the man started to yell at her and started shouting thing such as "you are making people upset!" which seemed to have set back the woman. After more bickering and nagging, the tour guide seemed to get even more upset and aggressive to the point that he pushed the poor woman. I saw the whole ordeal but decided to stay quiet as I did not want to be excluded from the tour and abandoned in the middle of nowhere as they had threatened to do to the woman. This woman could only have been 5 feet tall and middle-aged, she was obviously a confused foreigner who had trouble communicating to the tour guide. Though with the communication barriers, I do not believe the tour guide should have threatened her and physically laid hands on this very small and innocent woman. If the person in the last comment addressing this date (278shannent) had such in-depth knowledge of the events between the two that day, why did they not talk to the officers when they asked for accounts of the event. I do not understand how you could justify someone laying hands on a customer, difficult or not, talking so highly of a person, so casually as if you know the tour guide personally. it is disgusting that even for a minute you would consider it just to shove a confused passenger whether they aggressed you or not. If I am not wrong the last comment seems to be by the driver himself trying to cover-up the mistake he made by trying to convince himself and others that it is okay to push a paying customer or lay hands on a 5-foot Asian lady.

Sorry for posting the review late, given the current situation, it's a good time to throwback our last trip to Perth last December. I want to thank Ron for his thoughtful preparation throughout the whole trip and it's been great to have his sharing on the history, little stories and tips guiding us to see a group of lovely emu.

I attended the pinnacles tour on Feb 17. It was an interesting start to the day due to unforeseen circumstances, but sometimes you have to be a circle and roll with it. I thoroughly enjoyed wandering through Yanchep National Park to see the koalas and kangaroos, as that was your first time seeing the 2 animal species, and koalas being my favourite animal I was quite happy! My favourite part of the day definitely was the sand boarding in Lancelin. The views from the top of the dunes was incredible and unlike anything I have Ever seen before! The pinnacles desert was really cool and I loved the contrast in the colour of the sand from having just been in fine white sand to the mustard yellow sand. The desert is really quite something and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Perth! I found our tour guide Ron to be very professional and quite lovely. He definitely has great knowledge of the area.

No seat belts in the bus. There was only 1 navigator seat in the van. You risk your life to join this tour!!
I asked him to give me the navigator seat. He did. The driver still kept nagging me "All bus has no seat belt! If you want a bus with seat belt, go to ADAMS big bus!' I became very unpleasant. I asked him to just say one word of sorry for the argument. so I could finish and enjoy the tour. He did not say it. In the Yanchap national park, I was still so unpleasant so ask him again for short apology. He was upset and "Get off from my tour! You cannot join it and you leave from here by yourself" then pushed my shoulder violently. A ranger called police. Police sent me the nearest train station. It is the worst tour experience that I have had.

Hi, just wondering whether the Pinnacles Magic tour is suitable for pregnant women? (Approx 3 months).
Is the trip rough and bumpy?
Thanks

Perth, Australia4 bidrag
Thanks for the question Kathy, and thanks for the reply Matt. The tour is conducted in a medium sized 2WD bus on smooth roads for 95% of the day. There is a short drive on a slightly rough road to get to the foot of the sand dunes, but this is at very low speed. All activities throughout the day are suitable except perhaps the sand boarding, but this is still enjoyable as it is a beautiful location for taking photographs of the huge white dunes, the ocean, and the people sliding down the hill.
We have had a number of pregnant passengers on the tour and there have been no complaints.

Good evening Son069, thank you for contacting Travel Western Australia. The Pinnacles Magic tour is a great day exploring the west coast. I know you will love it.
To answer your questions -
The tour departs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only, so Thursday 8 Sept is not available but the 7th and the 9th Sept are, All the tour details can be read on our website (links can be found on TripAdvisor, and I am sorry not to write it but they do not let me put HTML addresses here).
The tour includes morning tea, snacks throughout the day and lunch. You won't go hungry, I promise.
101 Murray Street is a short walk away from the Perth City YHA at 300 Wellington Street. We pick-up from there at 7am.
We offer a great day tour at an affordable rate - our competition charge $215 per adult - and, when compared to any other activity in Perth that is all inclusive of meals and activities, and lasts for 12 hours, you will find our tour the best value. I therefore do not offer discounts because it is unfair on every other passenger that receives the same product for a higher charge. I trust you understand.
To book visit the website and follow the "Book Now" link to our secure booking page.
Hope we see you in September.
Richard.

Husband & I(early/late 60s)are picking up a campervan in Perth on September 10th,for 60 days,to do Western circuit, via Darwin,Port Augusta, Nullabor. Which is best - clockwise or anti-clockwise?? And will 60 days be sufficient and not too rushed? 6 years ago we did the eastern circuit from Sydney, via Red Centre, Darwin, Cairns (clockwise) but had 3 months (23April-23 July) and found that fine.Advice welcome!

Good morning,
The longer you leave getting up to Darwin and Broome the "worse" it will be up there. By worse I mean hotter and more humid.
Having said that, luckily there is so much to see in both directions I don't think there is a perfect solution.
If you head north from Perth you can enjoy taking your time visiting all the icons such as Kalbarri, Monkey Mia and Ningaloo Reef. Just ensure to leave 2 weeks to enjoy the south west corner of WA - Esperance, Albany, Walpole, Margaret River etc.
Which ever way you go you'll love it. This coast is VERY DIFFERENT to the east coast. I know you'll have a great adventure.
Richard
