I've been to this place twice in the past 8 weeks with my young boys, 1, 3 and 5 years old. Once at 10am and once at 2.30PM.

Both times we have been told there is a talk on, and that we need to be quiet. The second time 4 weeks later they even got zip ties out to stop my kids moving exhibits (which were intended to be moved by kids).

My kids are well behaved, but they love to play! Pretend we are driving trains to new and exciting places, and ask in enthusiasticly what signs say. It's not bad behaviour, it should be encouragred as part of learninf and curiosity.

Well not here apparently?

Lovely set-up, clean, especially the kids area! As long as your kids don't be kids - i.e seen and not heard.

Took the kids here. The staff were so friendly. I sat in a beautifully restored 1962 EJ Holden and when you turn the ignition key the radio starts and transports you back in time. So cool 😍

We visited the transport museum whilst on a visit to Whiteman Park, Swan Valley. We were pleasantly surprised at how much history and information there was in such a small building. Entry was by donation which was nice as so many cost so much nowadays. The museum was laid out well with numerous modes of transport used over the years including horses, camels, donkeys and multiple pieces of machinery and carts with a good explanation of the periods they were used and what they were used for. We found this very interesting and well worth the visit. This was one of many interesting things to do in Whiteman Park. A very good family day out.

I took a school of 120 children, ranging in age from 5 years to 13 years old to Whiteman Park and arranged to visit Revolutions Transport Museum. It only cost a donation to enter and all of the children enjoyed the challenge of completing worksheets which required them to go through the museum finding answers to questions designed for them to be interactive in their learning. Children are encouraged to climb into old cars and truck displays and I took many a photo of smiling faces behind the wheels of cars and trucks and sitting in carriages pretending they had travelled back in time. The staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful and encouraging. What a nice change for children to be allowed to actually touch displays and become part of the journey back into the past. As a special treat for the fast approaching Christmas Day, the students were given the opportunity to complete a selection of craft activities, which they thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend a visit to Revolutions if you are heading for the Swan Valley. Whiteman Park has free entry and for the cost of a donation, it is an interesting, fun, interactive way to spend an hour.

Thanks for the review Michelle, I'm delighted that you and your students enjoyed your visit to Whiteman Park and Revolutions Transport Museum. We offer a range of exciting environmental and transport heritage education programs and, due to our size, we are able to cater for whole-school education visits. We look forward to seeing you and your students in the near future.

We often visit revolutions during the week when we are at the park because it's just a donation to get in to (optional). There's lots of old transport to see with interesting stories, movies, colouring in and some transport toys to play with. It's not a big place but has quite a lot to offer especially for the minimal entry cost. We love to pop in there. The staff on are always friendly as well and offer the kids a sticker upon exiting. There are Ramps where needed for pram/wheelchair access as well. Toilets located just outside and there is close proximity parking.

Run entirely by volunteers this is worth a few hours of your time. Not enough to keep younger kids amused though and unless they are immaculately behaved it would ruin it for adults who are there with a interest in motoring history.

Came to visit Revolutions on a rainy day in Whiteman Park. The museum was great. Plenty for the kids and adults to do and lovely displays. Will be back with the family again!

When visiting Whiteman Park be sure to check out Revolutions Transport Museum! This fun interactive museum was great for the whole family. The kids loved the interactive zones: taking delight in becoming a bus, car and buggy driver, balancing a load on a horse, pumping petrol, creating in the arts and play areas, watching films in the theatre and exploring old trams and trains.

Revolutions, is the transport hub of Whiteman Park and was a great way to start our transport adventure in the park! The museum explained Western Australia’s transport history in a fun engaging way, and was the home of the one-of-a-kind, very interesting Lew Whiteman collection!

Revolutions, is open every day of the year and runs free school holiday activities every school holidays! Located right next to the Bennett Brook train station, Revolutions was a great way to start our transport adventures at Whiteman Park!
