On route 19, BUT, do not leave from Uralla. Go via Armidale as the road is much better & the travel time is far less than advised by the Tourist Info office in Uralla.
Excellent facilities, take bangers as many clean BBQ's available. Well signed & good tracks. Still some falls today despite lack of rainfall, well worth a visit to this amazing canyon in the middle of nowhere.

Stayed in Armidale an extra day to see this in March 2023, but when we arrived the falls were all dried up! Beautiful gorge but no waterfall. If you're coming here to see the waterfall try to find out if it's actually flowing before you go

If you don't feel like going farther away to Ebor Falls or Wollomombi Trail, then this is a great easier option! While I'd say it's slightly less impressive than either of the aforementioned locations, it's still a pretty close call. Main viewing platform is pretty much right off the carpark, and there is a little walk to a nice panoramic view of the canyon (I think it's called Wallaby Lookout), which I'd recommend as well.

I went camping here. It was a great spot. The road is unsealed but in pretty good condition. There is a great walk around the falls.

A must to visit. The falls are spectacular and the surrounding bushland just beautiful. Plenty of parking and easy walking to bot

Wonderful waterfall especially after heavy rain.
We dropped in to take a look. Just wonderful and certainly worth the visit.
There are several spots to view the falls from. You can see them from just near the car park or walk down the track to look at them front on.
Alternatively you can walk to the end and look right into the top as the water tumbles over edge. There is also a walk which crosses the river and takes you to a lookout which looks at the side of the falls. Just awesome!
There is a lovely picnic area as well as a really well set up camping area. Just remember to pre book your site.

Beautiful spot of natural wonder and beauty. Easy to get to even if you have a small car as some part of the road is unsealed. We visited after the rains so the falls were gushing with water and looked beautiful. There is a short easy walk along the path that will give you access to different lookout points. Worthwhile.

You don’t realise quite how high you are above sea level until you found to a location like Dangars Falls.
The falls are located on the edge of a small section of national park and it’s well worth the trip out here for the views.
We went on a couple of short walks -
One to the falls viewing platform - not even 10minutes if you don’t stop to look at the views - but you’re going to stop because the views of the gorge and looking across to the falls are amazing - you don’t realise just how high you are up.
The other walk was a 10-15minutes walk to the head of the falls - once again there a more stunning views.
There are longer walks but we were on limited time. There are plenty of picnic areas - not sure about toilets but I’m guessing there are.
A nice, brief, stop on the way here is at the Dangarsleigh War Memorial - you may find a sleeping possum in the information area like we did.
It is located about a 3/4 hours drive from Armidale - some of the road is a private, unsealed road that is open to the public because it accesses a national park - there are a number of cattle crossings you have to go over and it’s a bit corrugated in some areas.
