We visited the Living Desert Sculptures about an hour before sunset which was perfect timing as we were able to take fabulous photos without it being too busy. Closer to sunset, it got swamped, but with a well natured crowd who were generally very sharing of iconic photo spots, especially the setting sun through the Bajo El Sol Jaguar sculpture.
Regrettably we did not go to the other cultural walks in the Park first before visiting the sculptures. It was too dark to do so afterwards + 6.00 p.m. closing. The ranger at the Park entrance to assist with our entry fee, advised that our ticket would be good for 24 hours. Usually, payment at the Park entry is by credit card and the ticket says good for that day only, so veracity of the 24 hour expiry would need to be checked.

Very interesting sculptures. Lots of written information about why they are there. Probably takes about an hour to walk around the sculptures but there are other walks nearby and the views are amazing

What a great place to visit. The sculptures are amazing and the location is stunning. We visited late afternoon and setting sun lit up the sculptures.

Amazing views and sculptures. We took a snack and a drink and sat to watch the sunset, it was a pity it was cloudy, would love to come back and see it on a clear evening.

A peaceful and tranquil setting and a lovely spot to enjoy a sundown glass and snacks!
The best way to get to the sculptures is to take the first right hand turn after entering the park as this road takes you to the car park near the sculptures.

My favorite part of this was the view from the hill. The surrounding area is amazing. I wasn’t that taken by the sculptures. Bring your own food and drink here. Take a few hours to do both walks.

A short drive from town, this is a must-do experience for visitors to Broken Hill. The sculptures are beautifully displayed on a ridge-top with expansive views in all directions. We also did the Cultural Walk which took about an hour as we took our time enjoying the landscape and the information on the original Indigenous inhabitants and the mining history. Well worth the time if the weather is not too hot.

One of my favourite things in Broken Hill. The sculptures are interesting as is the story. However the cultural walk I found spectacular. Great views of the surrounding countryside and didn't see another person. Highly recommend

Interesting site. The Sculptures were representing many different cultures. I was very surprised to see where some of the artists had traveled from eg Georgia, Mexico, PNG etc.
About 10klms out of town and good to do late in the afternoon.

Definitely contact the Broken Hill visitor information center as they do have bus tour operators who may take you in a mini bus. Hey a nice little champagne and a picnic while watching the sun go down would be wonderful if you are not driving.

We used the information centre for everything. They will answer all your questions. You need about an hour to see the sculptures and the information on them.
