What a wonderful experience - feeding Emus and Cangaroos - an amazing arts gallery and the food also was delicious. A modern playground helped to enjoy the day

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Narana Aboriginal Centre which had fascinating exhibits and a wonderful art gallery. You could also see the history of the aboriginal peoples and the effect that European colonialisation had on them.
The art gallery was truly amazing and Included films of some of the artists at work. The vibrant colours and fascinating patterns memorise you and draw you deep into the painting!
For the kids you can wander around an enclosure with emus, wallabies and kangaroos, who are all very tame with some who enjoy being petted.
As to the cafe, bring an appetite as the portions are generous and I have to say this was the best breakfast that I have had during my entire trip to Australia... It was not only delicious but excellent value for money which is a surprise bearing in mind how expensive it is to eat in Australia!
Finally there is a great shop without any of the normal tourist tat that is normally on offer!
All in all a must visit if you are ever in Melbourne, or Geelong, and a good stop on your way to the 12 Apostles!

Humey great knowledge of first nation people. Knowledge of animals. Cafe. Love first nation history and stories. E.g.. How emu oil is made with no harm to the emu.
Plus did you know rock wallabies are related to possums not to kangaroos.

Visited here on the way back from the twelve apostles. Really lovely place where you can interact and feed the animals. Was able to pet a kangaroo and feed an emu.

Feeding the emus and kangaroos was great but was disappointed they closed an hour early (at 3pm not 4) and wouldn’t let us see the gallery. Staff member advised she couldn’t do it by herself despite there only being 2 groups- a total of 6 people. I’d heard it was good and had rushed to fit it in.

Bradley encouraged us with wit and enthusiasm to learn about the wonderful feats of the People who lived in the area millenia ago.
It was amazing.
Surprising snippets of information and wonderful views of the river and its might.

We all had a delicious lunch, followed by going for a walk, seeing some emu’s, kangaroos and wallabies. Then we went into the shop and had a wonderful time looking at all the beautiful gifts. This is a definite must visit for everyone who wants to learn about Aboriginal history and culture. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful in all areas. I will definitely be going back, and I give it 10/10.

Very interesting and well set out attraction. We had lunch which was very good, service was excellent. We bought a few gifts in the shop and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

So fortunate to spend half a day at #narana_cultural_centre today with colleagues. Started with an explore of the gift shop which quite frankly, took my breath away with art, fragrance and books.
Then braved the autumnal weather and went outside to find the emus, wallabies and the one kangaroo. All of which were delightful. I see these animals all the time for work but still enjoy seeing them up close and personal. Love our Australian creatures.
Our guide, Mel was magical with so much knowledge to share and a make our time special. She’s a gem.
The art gallery was amazing and between us, all shared an appreciation of the talent of the artists and their work.
We had lunch at #cafenarana which has an extensive menu. My corn fritters were amazing. Portion sizes large and generous as well as tasty. The wraps were enormous and full of fresh produce. Staff serving us were so friendly and delightful. Most thankful for their service.
If you’re visiting, please be respectful about not taking photos in certain areas.
Other things to know:
Disabled friendly.
Toilets on site.
Good car parking.
Cafe Narana offers great snacks and meals.
Entry is free.
Enjoy the gift shop and soak up the fragrances or candles burning throughout #narana .

Food was just superb. Really nicely presented, great fresh ingredients, beautiful flavours. We also fed the emus and loved the gallery but the lunch was the highlight. Got to try crocodile, emu and kangaroo, as well as lots of flavours from native herbs and spices.

for boomerang throwing yes, you also have time for practice How to throw the boomerang, in correct way with the trainer for free. beside that you still have chance for painting the boomerang and you vmcan keep it for souvenir...
