Great location to view the sunset over Uluru, accompanied by nice range of canapés and drinks. The field of lights were ordinary. The lights were dull, lost their lustre, with little impact when viewed at ground level. It would be much better with a viewing platform to take in the scale and depth. Also advertised as 2 and half hours, it was less than 2 hours. Certainly not value for money!

Went there in June 24, we found it to be a bit dull with low lighting , power like batteries were flat, no music, no info or explanation, just went for a walk through field, it was a lovely evening weather wise, but the show? Xmas lights in our street at home would have been more exciting, but something to do on the evening, I don’t think we would recommend

The drinks and canapés were plentiful and delicious and the service was friendly. The view of the lights from the hill as the sun was setting was lovely, even though it was a cloudy day. The walk through the lights was nice, but not amazing. They actually looked brighter through the camera lens than in real life, so the photos looked good. It was just a lot of different coloured lights. I didn’t really understand the significance.

The sunset and free flowing drinks were the best part of this. Dinner was the worst part sadly. Starting with a pumpkin soup which was very nice it just went downhill fast when it moved to the buffet. All the salads had no dressings and nothing available to add which really made the crocodile coleslaw so dry and inedible. Pasta salad also very dry and bland and a tossed garden salad was ok but again no salad dressing. Onto the meat - chicken was ok and kangaroo stew, lamb chops were so tough we couldn't even cut them. The dessert selection was ok.
The stargazing talk was good then time to set free on the field of lights. No guide, just told off you go and follow the green light to find the end. Everyone wandered aimlessly and the person with the green light kept moving. The bus ended up leaving 15 minutes early because everyone was done and complaining how bad the field was not knowing where to go.

The experience is interesting, sunset with drinks is nice and you get to see the color changes on the rock. Dinner is a good setting but food is very poor, after the pumpkin soup it goes downhill with buffet were hot dishes are cold - Barra was cold by the time we got there, lamb chops cold in fat and roo stew cold. Wines are free flow and good. Give the dinner a miss.

Lights are ok, but you need a viewing platform to fully appreciate.

I recently visited the Field of Light at Uluru, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. Here’s why:

Lackluster Impact:
Despite the anticipation, the display was merely a field filled with lights.
It lacked the “wow” factor I was expecting.

Misleading Brightness:
The advertising pictures portrayed a much brighter spectacle than what I witnessed.
In reality, it fell short of being truly spectacular.

Colorful but Not Captivating:
Yes, it was colorful, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression.

In summary, the Field of Light didn’t meet my expectations. If you’re looking for a truly awe-inspiring experience, you might want to explore other options

Really cool light installation. It's so much better in person than the pictures. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk through and the tour guides gave us the history of the artist and installation.

Completely meh. Sorry. Took the standard tour and without a viewing platform the lights look just look like a blur with no meaning. The commentary added very little context - basically here is a field, go wander... And wonder... Then wait for ages for the bus to turn up and rescue you - no communication and seemingly no organisation.

Great night that started with drinks & delicious canapés then a 3course meal under the stars. Staff very attentive and plenty of food and drink. There was a guy playing didgeridoo and Harry did a fantastic (& funny) talk on the stars before a great walk at your leisure through the lights
