Hi Kim On Bussell Highway, after the turn offs to Capel, the road becomes single carriage way. Watch out for the signs and turn right into the Tuart Drive Scenic Drive a few kms passed Capel. This will take you right through the Tuart Forest, passed the old Wonnerup Siding which is marked by an enormous fig tree in the railway reserve on the left. If you go straight through the round-about and continue along Tuart Drive you will see more magnificent Tuarts lining the road and will come back out onto Bussell Highway about 5km out of Busselton to continue on to Margaret River. That route is no further but the speed limits are a little slower than the highway and you may like to stop in one of the picnic areas along the way to admire the Tuart which would of course take a little longer. If you would like to see a bit more you can turn right at the round about and go into the Tuart Walk on the left a little further up. You can walk to a broad walk and bird hide over the estuary. The Swans (etc) are magnificent at the moment and soon there will also be cygnets. You would need good walking shoes for this but I haven't seen any mosquitoes around here lately. BTW Historic Wonnerup House is on the right slightly further. You can drive in there for a look, too. Enjoy!

It is National Park and dogs are not allowed in National Parks, although there is a camping area on the eastern edge of the Tuart Forest in pine trees which is not within National Park and people appear to stop there with dogs
