There are two Laxmanpur beaches - beach No.1 and beach No.2
I visited beach No.1 . It's a great beach for Sunset. You can just sit on the fine sandy beach, look at the sea and enjoy the sunset.

Entering into water didn't look feasible as it looked rocky (in the actual area at which water starts).

Unlike other beaches in Andaman, here you could see some small vendors selling tea, snacks etc. So, just enjoy the tea and take in the glorious sunset (be mindful not to litter the beach with tea cups).

To reach the sunset point, you need to walk a bit through a road surrounded by big trees all around. This walk is also very much enjoyable (you get the feeling of a mini-trek, if I can take the liberty of using that word!).

Well organised trip.
From the day of arrival till the day we left for airport, the entire trip was seamlessly organised. I came here with my daughter and WayFind trips ensured a safe, comfortable and affordable experience of Andaman Islands for us. for money.

One can witness the rolling waves, the warm sun, the smell of salt water, the feel of salt on your skin, and sand under your feet. Everything is just marvelous!!!

Wunderschöner, weißer Sandstrand welcher bei Flut zum Baden geeignet ist. Dieser Strand ist tagsüber Menschenleer und füllt sich allmählich am späten Abend zum Sonnenuntergang !

Laxmanpur beach has 2 parts 1 & 2

Laxmanpur Beach 1:
You need to walk from the taxi drop off point to the tip of the island where you are surrounded by water on 3 sides. There are plenty of benches where you can sit and admire the beauty of this place. Lots of shops at this place where you can get hot snacks as well as trinkets. This is the most reasonable place for shopping on Neil Island as all trinkets are priced way cheaper than what you get at the other beaches. Purses, ear rings, necklaces, showpieces, key chains, boxes - you will get all very reasonably here. The prices are way less than on Port Blair, in the Govt Emporiums as well. There is no lighting here except for the shops light so make sure you get back to the road before it turns dark

During low tide. you can see the water receding back. Not recommended for bathing as gets deep quite close to shore.
Senior Citizens - if you are travelling with senior citizens, the walk from the drop off point to the island tip can be really tiring.

Laxmanpur Beach 2:
You can get a auto, cab or tempo till pretty close to the beach. Its a bit of an uphill walk along the path from drop off point to get to the actual beach. Best to hire a guide right at the drop off point. They have shops on both sides of the path. The trinkets here are high priced, would not recommend buying here as you can get the same things more reasonably priced at Laxmanpur Beach 1.
The guide will help you drop your things at one of the shops and even provide a change of slippers if yours are not appropriate.
Going upto the Howrah beach is a must have experience. At absolute low tide its a very easy walk. Most of the time some water is there so you have to climb over rocks, over or under tree trunks and its a great adventure. Make sure you are wearing good crocs/sandals as the rocks are sharp. Its great fun!
Post Howrah Bridge the guide will take you to see the biodiversity - you can see the Nemo fish there. Make sure that you have a guide else you will not be able to see these on your own.
There are plenty of places to take great photos here. The guides are skilled at capturing the backgrounds as well.

After going back, you can ask the folks there to arrange a cab to drop you off. The autos only take till the main road at 100/- per auto

Laxmanpur Beach is divided into 2 beaches - No.1 and No.2.

Laxmanpur Beach No: 1 - Alluring white sand beach with amazing sunset view point. The white sand is slightly wet thus allowing us to build sand castles easily! You have lot of stalls selling shell related decor and gift items and of course with shops selling hot hot onion pakora and other eatables to satiate the hunger.

Laxmanpur Beach No: 2 - Here is where you will get to see the Astounding Natural Bridge (coral bridge formation). Make sure to have a guide as you are about to land snorkel and observe the biodiversity. Yes, you read that right! Land Snorkel! :)

You will be walking over the rocky formations on the sea shore and while walking believe it or not you will see many biodiversity that you normally see only when you snorkel/scuba dive. Yes, you will see live coral reefs which are of many shapes and colors like brain coral, beehive coral, etc., edible corals (yes! you can eat them),sea cucumber, sea urchins, various kinds of shankhs (conches) with live snails within it, cowry shells with live snails, some dead corals, giant clams (that closes when you touch), mollusks, fishes of various types, shapes and colors, Finding Nemo (yes! you get to see Nemo fishes (clown fish) living in sea anemone! Ah! scenes from Finding Nemo movie comes alive in front of your eyes for a moment), and some colorful things that pulls itself back upon touching.

To enjoy all these things and to get to know about the biodiversity, do take a guide otherwise you will not be able to enjoy any of these things apart from just taking pictures with natural bridge backdrop.

Do wear comfortable shoes, as you need to walk over the rocky formations which might make you slightly tiresome but trust me once you start to see these biodiversity, you will forget the tiredness.

Most importantly please do not touch any corals as they might die because of it. Follow the instructions from your guide strictly.

There are 2 parts of Laxmanpur Beach :

Laxmanpur Beach 1 : This a long Beach at a point where the land forms a small Peninsula and thus it gives you a feeling of being surrounded by sea on 3 sides. The view of Sunset in midst of chirping sounds of Birds. The local food stalls provide nice options like Pakoda and Maggie among others.

Laxmanpur Beach 2 : This place a unique Beach where you get to see Live Corals all around the place near the shore. The so called "Howrah Bridge" is also very near to this place. It is advisable to hire a local Guide at this place so that you get minute details of each and every form of Corals and other Sea Creatures around. We had hired a very knowledgeable Guide named Dilip Kumar Das..

This is one of four Beaches available at Neil Island. One can visit this place to watch Sun Set and spend some time in evening. Beach is not too clean and have average views. This beach is not good for swimming but one can enjoy good landscapes and pics of natural beauty. Some snacks and shops are available at this beach. Overall one can spend one to two hours at this beach.

The walk is long to the sunset point but its an amazing view, if its low tide, you can walk on the dead coral and its teeming with life, get your natgeo / animal planet lens on!

There is this couple that have a small shack, and they give you an option of a cute candle light experience while having a small bite

If the clouds part, the sunset is glorious!
