Excellent Xmas event. A harmonious choir performed a repertoire of seasonal sacred music. Included old favourites and new compositions. All washed down afterwards with mulled wine and mince pies.

This evocative building has medieval glass, old tombs, beautiful liturgy and music - it is superb on all counts and those involved from the village and well beyond do a huge amount each August to touch and move people

This lovely church in the village of Edington is not to be missed. It is set amongst rolling hills on the edge of Salisbury Plain. Inside is an amazing vaulted roof. Car park next to it. There is a Music festival which has been held here for 60 years some of which is broadcast on BBC radio. A very beautiful church.

We came across the priory while we were wandering around before a brewery visit to the Three Daggers Brewery just round the corner. A charming place well worth going out of your way to find.

Originally a priory, it escaped Henty VIII's depredations by becoming the parish church. It retains some original tombs, and is well worth a visit if you are interested in transitional architectural style.

This church lies below the site of the last Battle between the Danes and the English forces. The building is a oasis of quiet. The Festival during August it is a pleasure to hear the amazing choirs perform in this church, the acoustics are superb..

We had a quick look whilst in the area as I had heard about this building. We didn't go inside or stay long as weather was cold, however the building looked lovely and so did the surrounding grounds. We shall be returning on a sunny day to explore it more!
