Beauty of Yellowstone National Park in its finest
jul. 2015 • Par
The Yellowstone River runs through Yellowstone National Park and provides you with beauiful views everywhere. From Lake Yellowstone (where it starts) by Fishing Bridge where Cutthroat trout span and are visible in large numbers to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with 1000 foot cliffs and multiple waterfalls, this is the beauty of Yellowstone.

The hot springs, mudpots and geysers are also part of Yellowstone but the River shines like a diamond. Driving the roads near the Yellowstone River will take some time, and parking can be a problem in peak summer months but take the time to stop and enjoy.

When in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, be very careful with your footing. A fall off the footpaths will probably be fatal.

Spectacular

We traveled on US Hwy 89 which parallel to Yellowstone River headed for the North Entrance of Yellowstone NP. It was so beautiful traveling by the river which accorded many fantastic view points prior to even getting into the park. Our favorite view of the river was at Paradise Valley with the majestic Absaroka range as backdrop. The other fantastic view was at Grand Canyon of Yellowstone NP.

The views of Yellowstone River are simply stunning. We viewed from the Tower Fall pullout where there is a good boardwalk offering a variety of views.

Der schönste Park der USA!
aug. 2011

Floating the Yellowstone
aug. 2011 • Venner
We spent about a half day floating the Yellowstone River in Paradise Valley, just below Livingston, Montana. There are no rapids in this area, so its just a pleasant, relaxing float with some of the most beautiful scenery you'll see anywhere. Along the way, we saw numerous eagles and osprey in the trees along the shore and even had the opportunity to see a female osprey bring a fish back to her babies in their nest. Be diligent and keep your eyes pealed 'cause you float by pretty quickly. If you put out just above the "Pop Stand" restaurant, you can stop in and have a great burger and fries. There is no fee unless you have to rent your raft or use an outfitter. Also, be sure to take plenty of water and sunscreen and any snacks you might want while on the river.

un'esplosione di natura
aug. 2010
