Great way to see the port area, race was so much fun.... Matt and his team were so much fun. The weather was perfect. Make sure you have running shoes if you want a shot at the record. We were close ;) Go Raptors

I wasn’t sure whether I would enjoy this activity, but it sounded like something fun to do with our family group. It ended up being one of our favorite things we did! We were a family group of 10 people, and we split into two teams of five. We could have decided to split into smaller teams, but that worked best given the individuals in our party. There were also two other teams that competed with us; a father and daughter, and a family of 3 or 4.
The clues were clever and interesting, with just the right level of difficulty. There was a lot of walking involved, and occasionally a little bit of running. We thoroughly enjoyed this activity, and would probably choose to do it again!

My daughter and I did the Fantastic Catalina Race and were not disappointed! We are very competitive and couldn't believe we were last at the end of the first challenge. Things got back on track for us and we went from worst to first. We thought (before the race) we would just go at a leisurely pace, but we couldn't help ourselves. Soon we were running through the streets, asking locals for help and having so much fun. People kept asking us what we were doing as it looked like so much fun! It was an adrenaline rush, but we also saw much of Avalon and learned a lot about it too. I would definitely do this race here or any other location. Matt our host was awesome!

This scavenger-type hunt/amazing race was such a blast! So well organized! Stretching but very fulfilling! And we got to know Catalina Island in a very fun way! Matthew and team are wonderful, provided us a lot of laughs, and even though only one team wins, we all felt like we won! The clues were challenging, the race was intense, the "extras-from-the-locals-who-are-so-for-us" were team-building, and the conclusion was rewarding. Don't miss this - you won't be disappointed! Wear your running shoes for good exercise and get ready to experience Avalon in a delightful way.

This way an Amazing Race! Haha! Much like the show it was a very similar scavenger hunt activity. My wife and I were on the Carnival Cruise and we loved it. We raced against a few other teams and we found it exciting and overall very well done. The clues were fairly straightforward but they made us think! We were happy, we were sad, we were angry, we were rejoicing. Overall a roller coaster of fun and a really great way to explore Avalon. We didnt win, (we were so close...) but had a blast nonetheless. The other cruise ship passengers were stuck on buses and wondering what to do. We were racing around town yelling at each other, figuring out puzzles, and learning a bit about Catalina. Needless to say the other passengers were jealous of our great time. Matt our host was wonderful, very professional while at the same time funny and just made every single racer feel like they had a great time. Thank you Fantastic Race we will look up your other races.

There are no water activities per se. you don’t jump in the water if that was your question. There is something related to the ocean but I’d rather not spoil the surprise.....;)
