Great especially at Christmas time with all the decorations!!! A very nice walk about a mile all the way around, safe for families, wheelchair accessible, beautiful area, etc. Lived in Central FL for over 30 years and sad to say have never taken the time to stop by and take a stroll until recently. We will be back.

loved the free fitness classes and very nice place to walk and enjoy the florida sun. Lots of dog walkers but it was really clean

My hotel was next to this park and part of the reason for staying there again was this park. It is great for walking. It feels very safe and the amenities are great. Nice lighting at night. A little music. Friendly people.

We moved to Central Florida in January. Since then, we've been exploring the area on day trips. The challenge was to 'find a park within a city off of the Turnpike' (so we could practice navigating it with our new pass). Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs was the perfect choice, another town in Florida's railroad and citrus history.
The park hosts several community events like movies and yoga classes including a Tunnels to Towers 5K run/walk race on 9/11. The one-mile loop along the lake has numerous benches to sit and rest and reflect on the beauty of this serene place. We saw numerous ibis and muscovy ducks which were not shy along with lots of cypress trees and 'knees' on the lake shore. Decorative metal cranes are placed at intervals around the lake.
The focal point of the 45-acre Crane Roost Park is the European-style plaza with a unique floating stage. The plaza tower is 62' tall and built of Minnesota limestone. It is a popular wedding venue. Its bronze finial draws the eye to the top.
The park was renovated in 2016 to include boardwalks, benches and landscaping. No expense was spared in the construction materials.
Another draw is "Nurture," a park sculpture made of 200 pieces of polished stone weighing 10K and standing 19' tall and 18 1/2' wide. According to master sculptor, Mark Aeling, "a roost suggests a home and home is about family." This quote was the inspiration behind the sculpture: a bird raising its young.
The 4,500 gallon fountain has 61 jets and 60 lights capable of producing 16.7 million colors. Choreographed performances are shown nightly at 8 and 9 p.m. Amphitheater seating overlooks a stage for outdoor concerts.
Restrooms are available; we parked in the Altamonte Mall parking lot, a short walk from the park. Cafe Murano, an Italian restaurant, overlooks the lake.
We had a lovely day at "a park within a city."

Great place to take a walk. It is a decent way around the lake and after 2 times around you feel that you got a decent work out.

NO. This is a park, mostly for walking and small concerts, fireworks shows, festivals etc.

I am pretty sure that you cannot ride your bicycle on the pedestrian paths but there are plenty of areas around the park itself where I think you can ride. Just not on the actual path around the lake itself. I hope that helps.
