I highly recommend Sahara Atlas Tours. From start to end, everything was very well planned and executed. Ismael the owner was very responsive to all emails and explained everything in details and delivered exactly the same. We used their services to plan a 2 night trip tp Sahara desert including pick up from Marrakech and rive to Dades Valley and stay the night there and next day drive to Sahara and stay the night and following day drive to Fes. We were so impressed by their service that we hired them for the rest of our trip as well - drive to Casablanca, Rabbat and Chefchauen. The hotel and camp at Dades Valley and Sahara were absolutely amazing. They delivered what they promised and we loved working with them.

Only thanks, to the Company for the quality/price ratio of the accommodation and the 4x4 vehicle supplied, to Ouijdane and Hellen in the administration and especially to our Guide driver Mohamed for his professionalism, permanent care of us and the service provided. He is a connoisseur of the area and always tried to get us to the real Morocco, with visits to amazing places. He even had the kindness to take us to a tourist site in Marrakech at the end of the tour, which we had booked, and then approach the Hotel.

We had an fantastic experience in Morocco with Sahara Atlas tours! This was thanks to our amazing driver guide, Abdullah! He made us feel right at home and went out of his way to ensure our trip was perfect. His deep knowledge of the local culture, history, and hidden gems made every stop along our journey truly unforgettable. This knowledge was rooted in the fact that he grew up in Berber (Amazigh) culture! We even passed through his village while going through our trip!!
Abdullah's enthusiasm was contagious. He was always excited to answer our questions and seemed to genuinely enjoy sharing his insights with us. He helped us find the most authentic places to eat to and took every chance to introduce us to unique experiences. His friendly demeanor and genuine care made us feel like we were traveling with a friend rather than just a guide. Multiple times he stopped to buy a local treat for us out of his own pocket because he was more focused on sharing an experience with us rather than just doing a job.
Our trip to Morocco wouldn't have been the same without Abdullah and the services of Sahara Atlas tours! We highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable and personalized travel experience. Make sure to ask specifically for Abdullah! He is the best!

Two unforgettable days with Abdul, who took us from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas, to the edge of the desert. Abdul was a great guide and companion, accommodating the trip to the family's schedule, a great driver (extremely responsible), sharing all his knowledge about Morocco and its culture, with a unique warmth and respect. An incredible experience that we will never forget, thank you so much Abdul!

We visited Morocco with Sahara Atlas Tours in October/November 2023. This was an 18-day trip which is still very much alive in our memories. Our excursions were wide ranging, extending from Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, bathed in multiple blues, to Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast, via Volubilis, the southernmost city of the Roman Empire. Further south we travelled through the Atlas Mountains and its valleys,
enjoying the genial hospitality freely given by its Berber inhabitants. All our previous holidays had been European based, so Morocco was a refreshing eye-opener. And the experience was enhanced by our kind and wonderful driver, Mohammed.
After three hours on the road from Marrakesh we arrived at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and location for films such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. Continuing westward we entered the Draa Valley with its lush greenery threading its way like a natural oasis through the rugged terrain. Such dramatic contrasts took us to the Erg Chebbi dunes on the western edge of the Sahara, where after a camel ride we camped out, and during a night full of stars were beguiled by local musicians and the rhythms made for dancing.
Distances in Morocco seem infinite in a country with a rich gastronomic, cultural and natural heritage. With so much to take-in, our ambitions were discussed with Ismail before deciding on an itinerary that would give a fair representation of the country. Being Morocco-based was a huge plus in choosing Sahara Atlas.
Continuing on from the desert, we travelled along the precipitous switchbacks of the N10 until reaching Boumalne in the High Atlas, from where the Dades Valley spreads out panoramically. The town is famous as part of the Rose Valley, which blooms in April/May. Particularly striking were the red adobe houses constructed of local material, using traditional building methods. Boumalne is a popular base for hiking trails winding through a beautiful landscape. On our visit we used the Auberge Chez Pierre, built in the traditional style. The service, food and accommodation were faultless, as was the hammam.
At Ait Bouguemez our room at the Touda Ecolodge looked over a valley criss-crossed by many walking routes, all part of a living community. Here the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming as trekkers came and went.
Besides our time in the mountains and valleys we also toured Fez, Rabat, Marrakesh and Casablanca accompanied by our knowledgeable tour guides: Hassan, Mustapha and Rachid. Between riads and hotels our accommodation was well chosen throughout.
Looking at the photographs reignites many experiences. On visits to women’s co-ops, for example, we saw that applied skills provided incomes in poorly resourced areas while promoting confidence and independence.
Morocco was inspiring and Sahara Atlas pulled all the threads together. But the little extras were a gift from Mohammed. His knowledge of roadhouses and restaurants was unerring, so we always ate well. He introduced us to a miscellany of North African music that gave the trip a deeper cultural resonance.
Lastly, a week before departure a family bereavement forced us to cancel or so we thought, but Sahara Atlas rearranged everything for a later date at no extra cost. This level of customer care was evident during the entire holiday.

Review of Atlas Safari Morocco tour October/November 2023
Our planned itinerary was very ambitious taking in a vast area and a range of interests. Ismail not only met all our requests but squeezed in additional and sometimes last minute requests. And magicked it all into a trip which opened our eyes to the beauty and complexity of Morocco and better understanding of the different cultures of the country. We were especially keen to learn more about architecture and Berber culture and we were not disappointed. This was the trip of a lifetime.
So we started in Fes in the north, visited the Rif mountains, then down to Rabat and Casablanca, to the desert, the High Atlas, the Atlantic coast and to Marrakesh over 18 days. All this in comfort, staying at beautiful Riads and hotels, eating interesting food and spending time exploring places not easily found by the casual traveller. The guides and drivers were without exception, knowledgeable and really helped us to make sense of the history and background as well as guiding us to less touristy restaurants and cafes. Special mention must be made of Mohammed who went out of his way to help and whose superb driving made even long journeys and jaw dropping roads interesting and fun. And of the staff at Chez Pierre who introduced us to fabulous food and really welcomed us to the joys of a Berber village. And gave us the ultimate hammam experience. Similarly the wonderful Touda eco lodge gave us an insight into how people make a living in remote valleys.
I cannot think of how this trip could have been improved : for me at least it was the trip of a lifetime, cliched though that may sound. We made friends, laughed a lot and shared experiences with a wide range of people. We learned so much about Moroccan and especially Berber culture. Atlas Safari went way beyond what we expected of a tour company and I hope it won’t be long before we travel with them again.

We had the opportunity to tour Morocco on a private tour. The places selected, the accommodations, the recommendations and the care have been exceptional. Our tour driver/guide Abdula is the best we could have for his professionalism, kindness, and permanent care. If we return we would order it again without a doubt!

We had an excellent experience traveling with Sahara Atlas Tours. The personalized attention was out of this world. Our guide, Sakaria, did an amazing job driving and sharing his passion for his culture and country. We are so grateful for his punctuality, patience, sense of humor, tips, and overall service. He's a fantastic driver-guide.
The hotels chosen by the agency were great, especially Chez Pierre in the Dades Gorge. Not only was the building spectacular, but the food was incredible. We'd like to thank Ismail for letting us have a peek at his family's new hotel in the Dades Gorge opening soon. We wish you all the best.
We truly recommend traveling around Morocco with Sahara Atlas Tours.

My boyfriend and I are trying to do one of these tours next week. Unfortunately, we have limited time and resources so we would do the 2 day tour from fez to Merzouga. I am getting really high prices from tour guides right now. Is it cheaper if I wait until we get to Fez? Any insight would be amazing!!
