This is a must visit museum when visiting Mali. It’s set inside a large leafy green garden with replicas of the most important monuments in Mali (separate entrance fee).
The museum has three sections: with the textiles and mask and statues sections bring especially good. I spent about two hours taking in the displays (French only) and having a fresh fruit juice at the clean cafe.
There is also a souvenir shop.

The entrance is really cheap. The place is small an the displays are small too, you can see it in an afternoon. The thing is that the displays are awesome, some beautiful masks and wood carvings, a small representation of a temple and displays of textiles. Incredible place to see. No photos inside allowed.

This museum has come a LONG WAY from when I first visited in the 80s. I really think every visitor to Mali should go there. But some of the displays are so far from the aisle where you observe them that there's no way to read the notes, esp. in subdued lighting. I also looked for some ancient pottery from Timbuktu which a friend donated to the museum, with the promise that he would be credited for provenance. Never found it. There was a section closed off to set up a new display or whatever, so it was good to see that it's a work in progress. Be sure to walk around the park outside. There are scale models of some old forts and other structures. They also have a pretty good souvenir shop.

This Museum provides great history of Mali. The only issue is that its kind of small and nothing is in English so my driver had to translate using Google Translate 🤷🏾♀️

Not huge, but a beautiful presentation of fine objects and well worth the visit! An informative textile exhibition and particularly interesting galleries with masks and carvings by the many peoples of Mali.

Hi, I'm sorry I don't know. I went on a Saturday afternoon after touring the Botanical Gardens. So I know they are open on Saturday at about 1:30 or 2.
I encourage you to visit and to check out the gift shop as well.
