Great tour with Aisha. Interesting, funny and exciting. We saw do many things and learnt so much. And laughed together with Aisha.

We had a lovely tour with Aisha. On many levels Kampala is difficult city to navigate. These guides do a wonderful job of showing the real Kampala.

I booked the six hour tour and greatly enjoyed it! Joan was an excellent guide - not only could she tell me very interesting things about Kampala and Uganda, but she also has an absolutely charming sense of humour. I never would have learnt so much about Uganda walking on my own. The price was fair and the tour was easy to book and organize. I highly recommend Kampala Walking tours.

I was in Entebbe for a quick 2-day stopover, and needed to head to Kampala to send a gift to someone as a favour to a friend.
I reached out the night before and they were able to include me in the next days trip. Joan was our guide and was excellent, as I wouldn’t have even seen half the sights if I tried to do it myself. She even got me a boda boda to go drop off my package. She was super friendly and gave the best vibe of friendliness and helpfulness. This seems to be common among the Ugandan people I’ve encountered but I feel like she took it a step further.
All in all, it’s worth the price. I could’ve researched everything and tried to come up with an itinerary myself, but I still would’ve been caught in the maze of the markets in the city centre, or may not have even gone there.

We had a great 3hrs+ walking tour with Zulaika today. It was a great experience and a lot of fun! Ate Kabalaga and Rolex at Owino market and saw the mosque, Hindu temple, vegetable and craft market. Highly recommended experience even for people who lived in Kampala for a while.

Had the most amazing city walk with Zulaika and Joanne, the showed us the colorful fruit markets and the chaos around the taxi stand. Ended the walk with an amazing view over kampala on top of the minaret of the Uganda National Mosque. On top of this we visited a local handcraft market and stocked up on some first class souvenirs. Thanks Zulaika and Joanna for your hospitality and positivity!!

We had a wonderful experience working with Zulaika and her team at Uganda Walking Tours. She put together a customized itinerary to Bwindi that fit our needs and was in budget. We especially appreciated her “insider knowledge” on lodging, restaurants, and excursions that was much more unique and authentic than the larger tour companies that have operations outside of Uganda.
We can’t wait for our next visit!

My friends and I visited Kampala for a few days, during which we were recommended Zulaika's Kampala Walking Tours. This was absolutely the best recommendation we could ever possibly get. We booked a half-day food tour; our guide was Waheeda. Waheeda was not only very professional and knowledgeable but also super kind and friendly. We also felt very safe all the time. The food tour takes you to several places, including the biggest markets of Uganda - Owino and Nakasero. You get to taste the best local dishes and many types of fruits. It starts with breakfasts and ends with lunch. When the tour ends, your stomach is so full that you probably won't eat for the rest of the day. :)

The Owino market probably has more textiles than the Nakasero market but they are quite near each other so in walking distance from town centre. Most people are friendly so dont be afraid to ask directions.

If you only want to stay in Kampala then I suggest Kampala Walking Tour. It is about 1/2 day and will provide you with highlights of city and history. Also reasonably priced.
