This gallery has an excellent selection of well-curated Zambian art, plus art from adjacent countries. There is also a fine shop selling jewellery and gemstones which is worth visiting. Highly recommended.

Love this place. Lots of interesting art that changes frequently, so you can go by often and see something new. Friendly staff who will talk with you or leave you alone, as per your preference, the staff are eager to share details or answer any questions. I love to bring friends and family here whenever I’m the area. Really, all galleries should be like this.

My fiancé and I ended up in Lusaka with a few days to be tourists. We found 37D on trip advisor and figured we would spend 30 minutes there. 2 hours into our visit, we were already planning our next trip back!
To start with, the staff here are all welcoming and friendly. The various forms of artwork are all presented with the title, artist, and price in US dollars. It is in a modern building with indoor and outdoor spaces. There is even a section with children’s artwork and all of the proceeds go directly to the children and the program that works to provide children with art classes, which in turn helps children to pay school fees. Next to the art gallery is a gem gallery. We had the pleasure of talking with the owner who showed us the largest mined tourmaline and explained to us how jewelry is made from the wide selection of Zambian-mined gems. Then we found ourselves in the cafe, where we each had a coffee and a treat (banana bread and a chocolate cookie). Here we were able to casually look through the gift store and chose a lovely pair of earrings. It was hard to chose just one gift item as everything is so lovely and supports Zambian businesses that employ local people.
We will definitely be back on this same short visit because they even have yoga a few days a week for k100 which takes place in a gorgeous outdoor area.

An Indian restaurant with some amazing cuisine. They have Thai food as well.
All the dishes are cooked with authentic flavours.
They even serve Goan food. Their Shrimp Sorpotel is wonderful.
As also their Goan fish curry. And the Thai Green Curry.
Clean elegant setting. Cheerful helpful servers.

I visited the 37D gallery after some Zambians recommended it to me on Twitter. I was excited to arrive at the place when I was met with a cheeky woman at the reception. As an attempt to cover my bases, I asked her where am I allowed to take pictures within the gallery premises as I'm aware that you can't photograph art in some art spaces, however she was rather rude in giving me clarity saying "this is not a place for pictures." Yes ma'am it's not, which is why I am asking where in the premises can I take pictures of myself as part of my visit. Surely art galleries are visitor attractions worldwide & we're living in a social media age, if there are parameters for pictures & selfies that should be communicated. To my appease moments later, a pleasant gentleman named Abraham greeted me kindly & also offered that there is also a deck at the back of the gallery that I might find lovely to take some pictures on. Why, thank you kind sir for your help! Anyway, the art in the gallery is quite captivating, some very beautiful & striking pieces are by Mulenga Chafilwa, Pam Guhrs Carr & Emily Kurby with some memorable pieces by Andrew Makromallis (nude inspired art) & Natasha Evans (whose art I found quite abstract). The pieces are peiced in $ & it's free to enter. There is also a dainty eating spot at the back of the gallery adjacent to the deck called Rock Cafe where you can have some coffee & sweet treats or sandwiches. The service is very "leisurely" but the serenity of the area is definitely worth it. There is a lovely leafy barrier outside the cafe as boundary to the next property & it just gives the atmosphere a fresh feel. I ordered a croissant with butter & jam - and I only got told when they brought my order that they have no butter, the waitress peomised to go look for it but never returned with feedback nor the butter. I also had tea & their lemon cake which were enjoyable. All in all the meal cost me K110.

Wonderful gallery space with a modern airy feel, tucked away in a leafy residential neighbourhood. Come here to see works from the foremost local artists, and perhaps walk home with a piece or two. Exhibitions change regularly so there's always a reason to return. Their cafe with garden seating serves moderately priced fresh dishes like salads, wraps, and pies, and great coffees to boot. And all for a good cause since some of the proceeds go to deprived youth.
