My partner, Apollo, and I would like to thank our wonderful trekking guide Ram! He made the foreign experience truly exciting, comfortable, and serene. The man did everything he could to tailor the trek to suit our preferences. Ram provided us with different trekking options based on the kind of scenery we wanted to witness; the available accommodation; and unique activities we could participate in.
Ram had really good reviews, so we had high expectations and boy did he live up to all the praise he received! The route he planned was stunning - every turn was like a wallpaper display picture. I am not an adventurous/athletic person and I have a very weak immune system - so I got slightly ill during the trek, but Ram was very prepared for this! He had an arsenal of medication and health food supplements to treat my illness, and I recovered very quickly after his help! When I felt slightly tired - amazing Ram offered practical solutions to sooth my weariness. For example: I ended up hiring a pony for the last day. We are so grateful Ram provided a truly customised experience for us. He booked luxurious tea houses, showed us how we can see the most stunning views, took us to restaurants that fit our dietary requirements, and made sure we understood every aspect of the trek! He explained the geographical, cultural, and historical underpinnings of every location and we are grateful he answered all our extensive questions. He made sure we were okay throughout the trip - both mentally and physically! We would not have safely and enjoyably completed the trek without Ram's brilliant foresight and talent.
Our porter, Dipesh, was such a hardworking, stoic, and reliable porter. He had great intuition and provided us with invaluable support when he saw that we were tired. We never had to ask - he just quietly assisted! :) Dipesh always knew what to do to ensure our trip was smooth – he even assisted tea houses in the kitchen to ensure our meals were made quicker! He was very handy and adept at calming any situation. He was always so strong and handy - providing us with the guidance we needed in every situation.
