Delightful quaint little cottage next to the hotel itself, was the perfect place to stay for two nights with the family (6 adults in total) and a little plenty of wood for the wood burner. Extremely welcoming receptionist, who helped me take our luggage in. Even sloe gin in a decanter left for us as a night cap.
Would totally recommend.

We saw wild animals - rhinos and that was amazing.
The community jungle safari was cheaper and better as we saw more animals.
DO NOT support elephant riding - they work all day creating what tourists.
They have marks on their body and need to be wild and free - they are not treated with the respect they deserve.
Do not visit the elephant breeding centre.
They are chained - and babies are separated from their mothers.
They breed them to work and these magnificent creatures must be protected.
If you buy the expensive safari tour it goes to the crocodile breeding centre.
Do not support the crocodile breeding centre.
They do not release them into the wild.
They are sold to make hang bags and boots.
They say they will be released but if they release that many crocodiles into the water it would mess up the river ecosystem.
They would take over and over fish the rivers.
The community park is just a safari tour.
Which is seeing animals in the wild. Free and happy to roam where they please.
The guides for the tours are amazing.
And love the animal.
Jungle boys who love animals.
I highly reccomend to tip them as they work so hard to educate the locals and also find wild animals for the tourists that travel so long to get here.

If you have been on an African safari, this is a letdown. It is not even close to the wildlife viewing you’ll find in Africa. We went in evening one day and early morning a second day. Combining both visits, we saw one rhino from the back, and far away. And we saw a few birds and deer. That was it. We were disappointed with this event. We were told we’d see lots of rhinos and we barely saw one. Our guide was fantastic and he did his best. But the park, in my opinion, needs some improvements to figure out attendance, handling the locals and park maintenance. We were disappointed with many areas inside the park, besides the animals. I wouldn’t plan on this being the highlight of a trip to the chitwan area.

We visited Chitwan as a group of nine. We each payed 24,000 NPR (about £140) for a weekend trip, including travel from Kathmandu and back, 2 nights in a hotel (with air conditioning, a pool, and food included), and the tour.
During our trip, we went on a canoe, a walking safari, a 5 hour jeep safari, a bird watching tour, and visited the crocodile breeding centre. We also went to the ‘Tharu Culture Program’ where we saw the dances of the Tharu people. The guide also took us to a Tharu village and taught how the villagers farm rice, catch fish, and build houses.
On the tour, there was also the option to visit the elephant breeding centre, but we decided not to as the elephants were chained up. The guide emphasised that this was the government’s doing and we did not have to see it if we didn’t want to.
During each activity, the guide explained everything to us about the wildlife and nature. He was very knowledgable! We saw rhinos, elephants, crocodiles, deer, monkeys, a sloth bear and many birds. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to catch sight of a tiger, but they are rarely seen.
Overall, the trip was very well-organised and I had a great time. I would definitely recommend this company due to the value for money, amenities, and knowledgable guide!

If you are looking to book a trip to Chitwan, this company is a great one to go with! We booked very last minute (late the night before) and they were still able to facilitate our trip by organising personal car to drive us there from Kathmandu at no extra cost. Everything is provided, and all the guides/workers are so lovely, and go above and beyond to make your stay great. 10/10, definitely recommended. We had such a great time, with memories that will last forever!

Amazing day tour by private guide and driver. Myself and another friend used this man Mr Rajendra Khadka +977 9845068001 of Chitwan, Nepal and his driver for a fantastic tour of about ten hours through the jungles of the Chitwan National Park.
I have been on several African safaris and loved them. This was beyond any I have done in the past. I had no idea the animal life that Nepal has so it was surprising and so interesting to sit on the truck and watch Mr Khadka tap on the roof of the cab to tell the driver to stop. He had spotted things neither of us saw from snakes to deer, Tigers. We never saw the tiger but fresh poo, we weren’t far away. Elephants, monkeys. The driver too would stop and observe, again knowing things we would never see. Exceptional. I loved also one begins the tour by crossing the croc infested river in a canoe early morning. Mystic, beautiful, return for a magnificent sunset. Loved it all a lot and I recommend to all for a great experience while in Chitwan.

Please do not book this tour. They abuse the elephants, ride on them all day, hitting with canes etc. Animals should be able to live in their natural habitat peacefully. If you want to see elephants, try chiang mai's elephant rehabilitation sanctuary's where they are cared for, or India's Bandipur National park.

I am coming back from Everest Best Camp and only have one day free in Kathmandu. Can this be done in one day?

I plan to visit Chitwan Jungle Safari in late January 2020. I travel solo. I hope to know if it is possible to find any travel booths on site? What are the prices roughly for jeep ride, elephant ride and canoe ride? Thanks.

Hej. I have paid for 3d2n package 125 USD*2 people. All included. Transfer from Kathmandu+ later to Pokhara. Great hotel near river, meals, jeep, boat and walking safari.

My wife and I are seniors (but healthy) who will be visiting Chitwan National Park (arrive Feb. 16, depart Feb. 18, 2019). Since we have done safaris, elephant rides, Jungle walks, etc.. before, we are only interested in Jeep Safari through Chitwan NP on Feb 17 for 1/2 day. We understand that the Jeep Safari is best chance for encountering "rare animals". We also understand that the Jeep Safari must be booked by individual guests, not as a package with hotel stays, etc.
We would appreciate some visitors to share their recent experience (within last 3 years?) with their Jeep Tours at Chitwan with us and recommend some Jeep Tour companies for us to contact as soon as possible. Thanking you in advance.

Jeep noise scares animals away you won’t see anything....take the elephants really cool. At the very least visit the elephant breeding center st dusk to see the wild male come visit their female friends and babies.

Hello,
My partner''s back is not so good and she is concerned that the jeep safari is very bumpy and will be very uncomfortable. Do they give any recommendations in that respect?
Many thanks

is it a good time to visit in mid june ,how easy is the access to sauraha from the highway ?
Skrevet 29. mai 2018
No problem, but it is a monsoon period when crossing the river is a little more problematic.
We were in March when it was ideal for a visit. It is necessary to see the state of the road to Chitwan in that period. It can be changeable because it is not so easy.
