Entry is 100 thb for foreigners plus 30 thb for a car. This waterfall is a series of 10 levels, some more dramatic than others. There are three parking areas. If you park at the top level, you can access level 3 to level 10. Some people have said that solid shoes are required, but I did not find that to be the case. The entire path is paved with concrete or stone, and there are no real steep stretches. Flip flops will work if you are used to walking in them. Crocs, probably not. If time is limited, rather than push all the way up to level 10, I would concentrate on levels 5, 6, and 7, the most dramatic falls. There is a checkpoint at level 6, with an attendant. Appears that the upper levels are sometimes closed. Toilets are available at each parking lot. Toilets at lots 2 and 3 are not too fancy. I didn't try the toilet at lot 1, but the building looked new, probably the place to stop if you need sit down. There are food sellers at lot 3. I ordered pork liver salad for 100 thb. Food was tasty and the ladies were eager to chat.

Great place to visit. The location quite far from the town, about 2 to 2.5hrs drive.

Unfortunately heavy rain curtailed our visit to this series of waterfalls. Nevertheless, even though we could only go as far as the fifth viewpoint, it was worth the admission money. The falls were very active which wasn’t surprising given the amount of rainfall so some care had to be taken on the footpath. The first few stages are wheelchair accessible.
It’s not just the waterfall that is a very good attraction but the plants, shrubs and trees. There are many different varieties and where you have trees, there will be insects in abundance.
There is a large car park and the inevitable food stalls nearby.
Well worth visiting particularly in dry weather.

A great location for a low level hike. Has 10 levels and just the last 2-3 needed a bit more intensity for those stairs. My teens really enjoyed themselves. Plenty of places to put the feet in. All kinds of insects along the way. Wheelchair accessible for the first few viewing levels!

¿cuanto te costó el viaje en coche, las 3 horas de espera y que luego te bajara otra vez a Chian Mai?
Y el camino por las cascadas es facil de andar? Mi mujer no puede hacer mucho senderismo.

It varies on where you are going from in Chiang Mai (we were near the University which is ignored in guide books but is a beautiful place to ride bicycles) and if they can convince you into going to another stop where they get a cut if you buy anything. We paid 500 (it may have been 600) THB for two and just to go to the waterfalls and back. Plus entrance fee.
The food and drink there at the park entrance is not bad - not great but not bad. Bring water, of course.

We set up a tour of four countries with Niki at Odyssey Tours out of China. We went to Thailand, Laos. Vietnam, and Cambodia. There were three of us. We were picked up at the airport, by a guide and a driver in a small van. We were shown around during the day, and dropped back at the hotel around 5:00 every night. We had to pay for dinners, but no other meals.

a round trip rate with a taxi meter ( they are not expensive ) best to go to airport taxi desk for taxi. Price around 1000 to 1500 bht return as a guide. Don't forget best to book for the day or half day and have them take you to some of the other places of interest.
This is your best bet. Plus the safest, not that there is a safety issue.
Red car will take you there, negotiate a rate and book for the day, your hotel can help you there.
