Vietopia is a "kids' trial of occupations" amusement park and it's kinda like Kidzania in Singapore and Japan, except that it's a lot cheaper (190,000vnd/kid on weekdays is less than 10usd! It's 45,000vnd/adult that's just 2usd) but still huge (30,000m2 with two floors through half of its space), with ~60 jobs to try.
Tips to better enjoy your experience here:
1. AGE - website says this is for 4 to 15 year olds but I think tweens will be bored. We asked nicely to purchase a ticket/playing bracelet for our 3yo and they allowed it. He can't understand most of the jobs but he felt great to be allowed to play!
2. TIMING - go on weekdays between 8am to 4pm. Each job takes an average of 18 minutes to complete. Three hours here and your kid can only complete about 10 out of ~60 jobs available. It'll take double the time on weekends since you gotta factor in lots of queuing time, plus a rowdier crowd with noisy performances.
3. FOOD - they do have food court and two small cafes, with Western basics available. Local standards and great local prices.
4. MOST POPULAR JOBS - take note of the timings and go at least five minutes prior to secure a spot!
a) Fire-fighting
b) Space exploration
c) Train driver
d) Modeling
e) Driving (used to have real karts but now only stimulated ones left)
f) Air stewardess
5. MOST UNDERRATED - quite fun but not as popular hence less wait
a) Magician - quite hidden behind the toy store
b) Photographer by CANON
c) Electrician - quite technical so my 6yo zoomed out during theory but enjoyed taking the cherry picker (forklift) up to fix the wires. Earns the most $VDO!
d) Cooking - get to bring real cute muffins/cookies back! Gotta spend $VDO to get in but I think it is free on weekdays. Not always open, though.
e) Archeologist
6. GREAT MILD CAREERS for the shy and young:
a) Doctor/ Dentist/ Nurse/ Gas pump attendant - our 3yo just sat in the fake sports car instead of pumping gas but that made him happy enough!
b) Farm cow milking - boring but easy, suitable for really young ones. Gotta spend $VDO but you get to bring home a real packet of milk upon completion.
c) Oishi Snacks/ Yakult factory - similar as above
d) Supermarketeer/ Fashion designer/ TV studio
Sadly, some jobs seemed to be replaced/ never open:
a) Construction
b) Banker
c) 3D-printing studio
d) Art studio is NOT open to the public, as they have paid art classes going on
7. FREE REST AREA
On one of the second floors (you got to look for a stairs near the Magician job), there is a large and open room with free mats available. Many locals who are used to afternoon siestas (naps) can be found napping here after lunch. There is also a ball pit for the littler ones. During off-peak periods, it's almost completely empty so it's really quite a good place for resting quietly, with great air-conditioning too!! Which leads me to...
8. WEAK AIR-CONDITIONING
We perspire lots from much walking around the huge compound, but mainly because of the weak a/c. Would advise wearing lightweight clothing and even bring your own mobile electric fan. It helps. Especially if you intend to be there for hours.
9. ENGLISH
English standards here are improving, especially for the popular stations. Just gotta teach your kids to be more patient for the Vietnamese-speaking guides. It is after all, targeted mainly at the local Vietnamese children. As the saying goes, when in Rome (when in a foreign land), just be humble and follow along...
10. STAFF
Almost all of them are youngsters who are friendly and helpful. Many of them even accommodated my little 3-year old by making things easier for him. We appreciated their friendliness and talked to them nicely too. If you run into a rare staff who ain't friendly, perhaps it's just been a bad/tiring day for them... just like how it could happen to any of us too!

Visit on a weekday and there are not too many people, you can do many jobs. Staff are very helpful and most of them can speak a little bit English and understandable. Good for children for age from 4 to 15 years old.

Came here on a weekday and this place is dead. It’s summer break for the local kids and it’s still quite. They have things to do for kids like pretend play. Most event are around 10 minutes. All the kids do is watch video, lack of creativity. There’s no Ac so it can get pretty hot and tiring even for the parent. The food option is horrible. They have a system in place for the kids to get in line but no one follow them. The employee doesn’t even enforce it so make sure you teach your kids to stand up and tell the other kids to get in line and don’t push you around. This place copy Kidzania in Japan.

My boys 5&7 had a great time here. We went on Friday so it was much quieter. You really need to come early to try to get as much in as possible. We arrived about 11am and still only did half of the activities. Staff are friendly and spoke English. But some could look more happier to work than others. Overall a great day for my boys.

Visited on a weekday with 4 year old. Very quiet but interesting concept where kids can explore different job roles. Mainly in Vietnamese but easy to understand. The staff were friendly.
Clean toilets and cafes inside as well. More activities for children 6yrs.
Very close to LOTTE Mart where we went afterwards for shopping.

We went on a day with 400 kids inside but it did not feel crowded at call. Kids are considered those bet 4 to 15. Adults tickets are cheaper. Ticket staff are helpful and would alert you on how crowded the place is.
Each activity last abt 20 to 30 min. Of course the most popular ones wld be the fire station, air crew and CSI. My kids found the archeological career, train driver and astronaut pretty cool. With the VDO, they can also buy a ride on a vinasun taxi. There are 2 stations making pepsi and mirinda - see if you can spot how they trick your eyes.
There is also a trampolin area that adults can also jump for free. There is an area adults can buy coffee and some food as well.
All very fun n good value for $$.

Love that they literally built a large fake city that seems like it's running like a real kids' city. Even the vehicles and pedestrians have to follow the traffic lights in this fake city. Just exploring the grounds made the kids excited - both the toddler and the pre-teen ages. It's also perfect that the entire grounds is fully air-conditioned PLUS there's a place for some decent cafe foods so you can stay there the whole day, if your kids want to.
A huge variety of jobs available - bank tellers, train driver, doctors, dentists, nursery nurses, emergency responders, firefighters, simple soft drink and coffee factory lines, archaeologists, pilots, magicians, fashion shows for fashionistas, construction builders, f1 simulation and actual mini go-karts... the list goes on! Love that they have costumes for each jobs, indicated waiting times as well as briefings that made it sound like they're real professional briefings for newbies on the job.
Overall good value for a full or even half day's play.
