Tour was overall very good and we saw some amazing places in Vanuatu. The weather was perfect. The spots we saw were very beautiful and we had the best cocktail in Hideaway Island! One negative would be that we felt a little rushed throughout the day because one couple were running late, so we started the tour about an hour behind. Simon, our tour guide was nice, but if you want to hear what he is saying about all the sites you drive past, sit closer to the front of the van, because we couldn’t hear him sitting at the back. Snacks weren’t included as stated in description. A bottle of water at least would have been appreciated. Another disappointing point is the road to the Turtle Sanctuary. It is in extremely poor condition for the amount of traffic it takes daily, and being a major travel destination spot in Vanuatu, some investment in infrastructure to improve the road would benefit this business even more. The ride was terribly uncomfortable on this road.

Our tour guides were lovely and very knowledgeable about the culture and local area. However, there were two other groups on our bus doing a different tour so at one location we just had to sit near the bus and wait for them which was quite ridiculous. And then at Hideaway Island they just dropped us there and took the other groups to three other locations, dropped them back at their hotel and then came back to pick us up. So we had no guide at Hideaway and missed out on seeing the underwater post office.

Wonderful day tour around Efate (Port Vila). Reef Zoological, Rarru Waterfalls, Blue Lagoon, School visit, Chocolate factory & markets.
Our tour guide and driver (Sharon & Junior) were absolutely Amazing!! So enthusiastic, knowledgeable and great at answering all of the kids questions. Lots of sharing local stories and traditions. They were very funny and engaging too!! We all felt very safe with the driver.
They accommodated all of our requests and went above and beyond.
Lunch and bottled water were also provided.
A fabulous day. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed all the locations we were taken to. The island locations were so picturesque and friendly.
My only thing would be to have more conversation / explanation from the tour operator of all the areas we were passing. Bit apart from that we had lovely staff looking after us and we were safely looked after. Thank you.

The tour guide (Sarah) is very professional, she introduced us a lot of the history, people, culture of Vanuatu and prepared a lot of fun facts to keep us entertained during the ride~ If we see something cute (spiders), she would pull the car over so we can interact with the nature, touch some plants. Having a wonderful tour guide will let you learn so much more about the country than you can ever do on your own, better than google.
However, I would say the weather was not so nice on the day we went on tour, and the blue lagoon was not as pretty as it was in photos. Waterfall was a bit average as well (maybe just because we also went to Fiji and the scenery was just unbeatable). The Reef Zoological however, was very enjoyable. Although the park was not really huge, the guide was also very knowledgable, and we all get to interact with sea turtles very very closely. I'm not sure other facilities will allow you to touch sea turtles, but this place does ( with supervision of course), which makes the whole experience so friendly and kids on the tour loved it!
I would say it's definitely worth to book yourself a tour with Vila Hope tour, as they are very experienced and prepared. Most of the taxi drivers or private transfers drivers will tell you they can drive you on tour and let you have as much time as you need on your selected spots, but they won't be as experienced and ready to tell you stories and facts abt the places you're going, so I don't mind squeezing myself in a van with 10 other ppl, as we all had a good time.

Having not been able to secure a tour booking with our Cruise we decided to book this with Tripadvisor. Our experience was Fantastic, our Tour Guid was Flo was an exceptional young woman her knowledge was faultless. Was confident and nothing was too much trouble. The venues visited were all what were advertised and more with local markets thrown in on our return to the ship. I would recommend Vila Hope Tours to anyone looking for a small tour around Vila

Fabulous location, but they need to put in a set of stairs to get into the water as everyone has trouble with broken coral on the beach. Need reef shoes!! Hotel needs an upgrade including the toilets and bar/restaurant areas. Not great value for money, as with everything in Vanuatu it has gone up in price but not been updated in years.

Highly recommend Vila Hope Tours, we had a fabulous time & our tour guide was friendly & knowledgeable she made the day fantastic. It was a fun day where the snorkelling was amazing & the blue lagoon refreshing & enjoyable. I will definitely use them again when I visit Port Vila in the future. Thanks for a great day.

We had a fabulous relaxed day with Junior as our guide. We were the only ones on our tour which was a bonus. We stopped at The brewery, then the chocolate shop in town. Then out of town down to The Rarru waterfalls for a swim in the river, which was just magic, next The Zoological sanctuary, where they rear distressed baby turtles & release them back into the ocean. The Blue Lagoon for a swim, then round the island to Gideons landing (where they filmed Survivor) for snorkelling. Onto Tanna coffee & home. A wonderful overview of the island of Efate with Juniors expert commentary & relaxed timetable . Highly recommend.

Our family of 6 from nz spent a day with vila hope on lelepa island, it was the highlight of our pacific Island cruise. The snorkeling felt like we were in finding Nemo, it was so clear, with amazing colorful coral and fish. The people were very friendly, kind and well organized. thank you :)

Hello! I was wondering how it works if you want to join the tour from a cruise ship as you might not be able to guarantee when you dock/disembark? This is from P&O Pacific Adventure on 04/01/23 and it should dock at 8am.
