We booked a 2 hour tour with Club Hippique for our group of 10 - the youngest rider just 7 years old. The horses were well looked after and so gentle to ride. The various landscapes were picturesque but the final swim in the ocean was so special.

Our trusty steeds took us through jungle track opening up to a picturesque scene on the beach looking across to Eratap Island. Frazer one of the guides regularly checked in with riders to see if all was well. The horses are in good condition and knew the drill of well worn path with Willie riding up front. We left our backpacks in safekeeping with office whilst on ride. On return the horses were unsaddled and those who chose to go for swim with horses rode bareback. Safe ride even for beginners with pretty scenery. I'd recommend a waist/bum bag or dilly bag to put your phone/camera in. Toilets and change room on site too.

Our family group of 8 had the privilege of being first to take this new tour. It incorporates 1. The Blue Lagoon 2. Reef Zoology 3. 45 min Horse ride.
We had a really wonderful day with our driver Jerry, who picked us up and dropped us back, at the cruise tender boats. The vehicle was a bit rough, but it all added to the appeal for us. It all went well and our driver Jerry drove well also. The Blue Lagoon was wonderful. A beautiful vegetated lagoon, with plenty of room for swimming, and tables and gazebos and ample places to jump and swing from into the beautiful salt water. Little black fish nibble at your toes near the edges, but do not hurt at all. My family all loved it there. We stayed for an hour and then moved on to the next stop, Reef Zoology, where they rehabilitate and protect various animals, including Turtles of all sizes, including the cutest little baby ones and also a variety of other animals. We all loved it there also, with informative staff as your guides and a chance to purchase some souvenirs if you wish. Then on to the Hippique Club for our horse ride, which everyone enjoyed immensely even though it rained, but getting wet was actually pleasant, as it took the excess tropical heat out of the air. As our group was largely inexperienced riders, thus we were happy with a gentle and safe ride. They do cater there for more experienced riders, from my previous 2019 experience, also. The tour includes an optional lunch, which we included and found to be fresh and tasty. The flies were a bit annoying, but that's flies for ya! We were then driven back to board the ship in good time, to not be stressed. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour for anyone and especially families. Our family group ranged in age from 7 to 62 and we all loved the tour equally. Shout-out to the horse I was allocated, "Salvation", Great name!

We booked a full day private ride paid $400 with Club Hippique and we were on a cruise ship that because of the cyclone did not go to the port for safety reasons. We wanted to support local operators and booked directly. We cancelled 48 hours before, when the cruise line informed us about the cyclone and that for safety reason they would not be going to the port . Initially Mrs Heidee Oberstar wanted 50% cancellation fee, then she stated 25% although it was a “force majeur” event and we should have been refunded everything. She strings us along and neither refunds anything nor does she send a cancellation invoice, although she claimed that she did.

We were mostly stuck with some families with small children until the guide realised that we could actually ride and let us go ahead on our own along the beach, where we couldn't get lost.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgable but you have to ask, they don't stop at every tree to tell you what it is.
Swimming with the horses at the end is optional but quite an experience in itself if you've never done it before.

Booking was easy and they kept in contact leading up to our visit. We booked a private ride through the rainforest and then back along the beach, and ended it on a bare back ride into the water. It was the most amazing experience ever for our family. I highly recommend it

Club Hippique was easily the highlight of my trip! Such a wonderful experience getting to swim with horses in the gorgeous blue water. They’re located on a pristine private beach, and you can ride horses in the white sand. My guide Emile was knowledgeable and accomodating, and tailored the ride to my experience levels. I had such a good time I rebooked for 2 days later! Thank you guys for having me, and see you next time.

We visited as a day tour with P&O. Horses were cared for the ride was scenic. At the end of the trail ride you get the opportunity to ride into the water. The property has a gorgeous bay bordering it. The water was a perfect temperature. I would do this again 100 times if I had the chance.

The most magical bucket-list experience! We thought it would be wonderful but it still exceeded our expectations. Our guide Willie was wonderful. We were a family of 3 and my daughter was a nervous rider. Willie led her at first until she found her confidence to ride herself. The ride was stunning through lush green lands with butterflies flying around us, and Willie teaching us about the flora as we rode. Then we rode along the beach and in the water before finishing having a swim with the horses! It truly was amazing. Do not hesitate to book. You will not regret it. We will be back!!!! 🐴 ❤️

My 10yo daughter and I did a 1hr horse ride last week with our guide Romy. We had the most amazing time riding through the rainforest and beach and really enjoyed the spectacular scenery. It was a highlight of our trip to Vanuatu and a not to be missed experience!

Hello there.. my friend and i are going on this full day horse ride tomorrow and would like to know what we should bring? Id like to be able to bring my shoulder bag with a towel and a spare change of clothes.. has anyone done this and was it easy enough to bring? Thanks!

Hi, I was a visitor to the attraction I am not the operator. However, I do know that kids can either ride a smaller horse on their own if they are tall enough to reach the stirrups or they can ride with an adult if the adult is confident with that. Yes they do have small horses so if you are a shorter person I'm sure they would have a horse that you can ride. We booked the horse riding through the reception desk at our accommodation. If you take the horses in the lagoon you should wear suitable shoes in the water as there is a lot of coral, to be honest I don't recommend taking the horses in the lagoon personally as the horses are not shoed themselves and when I realized the lagoon had a lot of small coral in the sand my husband and I got out.

You get an hour ride up to the top of the lookout, then back to unsaddle and swim them in the lagoon. There was no-one waiting on horses after us so they didn't seem to mind that we stayed out in the water a bit longer. Probably the advantage of going at lunchtime or just after. We were on a cruise and booked it from there, it was $89US each

Is it ok for my little daughter to come as well, she is only 4 years old and love horses as well, she already did some horse riding here in New Caledonia.
