Isadong area was about the same. Be aware that the best way to get to and from the airport is the buses. Bus 6011 goes to Angkuk subway station which is near both the Hanok Village and Isadong. The ride takes about 1hr15mins. Be careful to ask the driver exactly where to get off. They don’t stop at every indicated stop, so counting the number of times the bus stops won’t help. Allow plenty of time to get back to the airport. It’s huge and can take more than an hour to get through customs and immigration. Bus costs 10,000 won. Get a ticket at the airport for the way into the city. Pay cash on the bus for the way back. Make sure you know where the stop is to catch it on the the way back. what suggestions do u have? Take advantage of site seeing, shopping and enjoying the Korean culture. I visit Korea about every 2-3 months but mostly spend my time in Seoul. When time allows I do try to get out to see other parts of the country. Korea is such an amazing place and the people there are friendly (my experience). Definitely have a plan for when you visit because there's so much to see and do. If you want to get an appreciation for the history and struggle of the country you need to visit the Korean National Museum and the Korean War Museum both of which are located in Seoul in the Yongsan district. Take a hike up to Namsam park and check out the beautiful scenery from Seoul Tower. Do it right before it starts to get dark because the city lights at night are AWESOME. Take a stroll on the river walk in Yeoido and enjoy the cherry blossom trees in May. You can do the same out in Jamsil as well which is where Lotte World and the new Lotte tower is being built. For shopping you can explore Itaewon or Dongdaemun. I'd visit both locations if I were you and if time allows. Visit the buddhist temples down in Gyeongju. Walk the trails leading up to the temple. If you're not in shape you can take the bus as well. Regardless of physical condition the walk leading up has some breath taking views. Hike up to Seorkan mountain and finish your trip off on Jeju Island. which cities shd we cover? Seoul, Gyeongju, Jeju Island and Seorkan National Park and where do u suggest we stay? There's no real bad place to stay. In Seoul I personally prefer the JW Marriott in Seocho-gu. Everywhere else I go throughout the country I will just wing it. how many days will we need? In total I think 1.5wks would be nice if you can afford it. I'd spend 3-4 days in Seoul, 1-2 in Gyeongju, 1-2 days in Gangwon Province, 1-2 days on Jeju Island. is it advisable to do japan also... feryy or flight? I've yet to go to Japan so sorry I cannot advise however if I were you I'd fly the 2-3hrs it takes to get there. I've heard great things about Tokyo and plan to visit in the summer of 2016.
