Last week my family and I, 8 persons, went on a 5 day safari trip (Masai Mara, Maji Moto and Lake Naivasha).
The hole trip was very well planed from David Tours, Mountkenyahikes.com. The driver was amazing and the food was delicius.
Everything was exelent!
Masai Mara is a beautiful place on Earth 🦁🦒🐘🇰🇪

I visited Nashulai in summer 2022 and was amazed at the mission and how the community came together to create a Maasai run community conservancy. I had hesitations about visiting Africa as a tourist as I didn’t want to contribute to the typical exploitative models of conservancy but I longed to see an elephant in the wild. Nashulai was the perfect solution as supporting Nashulai supports an incredible cause and every dollar goes to the local people. Good cause aside, the natural rugged landscape made such a beautiful backdrop for the abundance of wildlife we saw. Getting to walk on the land instead of only seeing it from a car was an unbeatable experience! I highly recommend Nashulai!!!

My wife and I had our honeymoon in summer 2023 visiting Nashulai. It was truly an immersive and wonderful experience learning and actually getting to see how community and wildlife can live together on the land. The coexistence that is at the heart of the Nashulai model was truly inspiring to see. Nashulai is a new conservancy and we could see the inspiration for the model in the people who work there as they continue to grow and expand. It was a humbling and moving experience. We got to get closer to the wildlife at Nashulai than we did at any other park we visited being mere feet away without a car between us. We felt perfectly safe with the Maasai warrior guides with us. A particular highlight was the opportunity to camp out under the stars and see a family of baby lions wander by! Cannot recommend Nashulai highly enough.

I spent a weekend at Wageni camp in Nashulai Conservancy. Nashulai Conservancy is among the first indigenous-owned and –managed conservancies in East Africa and funds many community projects and conservation efforts. When I arrived at Nashulai camp I was warmly welcomed. I was staying at Wageni camp which is perched upon a hill, and my tent had a deck which was great for relaxing with endless views of the Mara. The bed was super comfy with an ensuite bathroom and a flush toilet, the shower was nice and hot. I did a tour of the grounds and met their resident Elands which roam the grounds (Africas largest antelope) I was shown where the water filtration system is, which also benefits the community. Food was simple and tasty( I am a Vegan) I went on a game drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve which is a short drive, and my driver was experienced. After I came back from the Mara, the staff brought tea and cookies to my tent which was a nice touch. The evening I spent around the campfire with all the Maasa staff, one of the reasons I travel is to engage with the locals. I was traveling by myself the staff were all very friendly and took care of me.

My dad and I visited at the tail end of my 3 months in East Africa in March of 2018. I had read about Nashulai via Avaaz so I had contacted them about visiting and they set up our safari in Kenya. We had a wonderful time visiting other parts of Kenya with Cosmas, our guide, and then we stayed at Oldarpoi Mara Camp. My only complaint is that they spray the tents for mosquitoes and I am chemically sensitive, so I couldn't stay there without being sick. They did helpfully arrange for me to stay in a tourist Maasai house at a nearby village which was excellent.
Nashulai was incredible - our favourite part was walking in the conservancy and seeing so many animals as we walked - like giraffes! Our last day was memorable as we decided to climb the mountain behind the camp with our Maasai guide Amos and Annette, and then got completely soaked in the rain! I highly recommend a visit here.

We couldn't believe that there were different variety of giraffes and we were able to explore them very closely. We were able to see local Masai in traditional costumes.

Im MassI Mara Nationalpark ist die Tierbeobachtung sowohl sehr umfangreich wie auch erfolgreich. Es empfiehlt sich, eine Safari um 06:00 zu starten und das Frühstück danach einzunehmen

It’s right by the National Maasai Mara Park where I spotted all of the big five and cheetah cubs too. The birds are amazing. Nice camp, food and people with amazing sunsets with storytelling from the local Maasai.

Only take the amount of money you are prepared to spend in the market. Lovely genuine souvenirs but the start price for haggling can be high. Being able to show that was all we had made things easier
