Totally worth it! That's the most famous landscape in Coron, make sure that it is included in the tour you're doing (in case you're not doing all).
The view uphill is really amazing, and the lake downstairs is refreshing.
If you're lucky you can see monkey going down to get a sip on it.

Place is magnificent! No filter or edit needed to have a good picture. Water is very clear and very clean. We would like to come back :)

I've been to some parts in Palawan before but when we started exploring the Coron side, I didn't know that turquoise green or blue waters really existed in the Philippines.
And then enter Cayangan Lake into the picture. Talk about dreamy textures of the water. But be careful. If you're not used to swimming in lakes such as this, you may wanna take a step back and take your time before diving because just as my experience dictated, you don't really get to surface immediately when you dive unlike diving in the sea. I nearly drowned because I was so confident it'll be without a glitch haha...
Then again, there's always a first. But hell yeah I'd go back here again and again and enjoy the pristine waters.
Truly Philippines has got a lot of jewels hidden somewhere. You just need to explore ;)...

The adventure begins when you start climbing the steep, wet and slippery hill. Be sure you're wearing sturdy or trekking slippers to be able to have a comfortable climb and decent going down to the lake.
Put on a sunblock and wear a swim wear because once you're there, it is so inviting that you won't be able to resist the urge to dive in and enjoy the cool water and be one with nature.
Take time to breathe in the fresh air and get mesmerized with it's relaxing beauty. Make sure to bring a good camera to capture every moment.
Warning not to stay near or under the plants/ trees around the lake by the entrance because some of our companions was bitten by insects and had red bite marks on their upper bodies.

You have to take a boat to Cayangan Lake, which is true for most of the attractions in Coron. It gets pretty busy here, since somewhere on the trek up the hill towards the lake area is one of the most photographed spots in Coron. After walking up many steps, and then down a few more, you get to Cayangan lake. The water here is such a gorgeous emerald green and so cool and refreshing that you could swim around for hours and hours. There are no shallow areas other than the jutting corals, so the tours boats provide people with life jackets. Though not as obvious as in the snorkeling areas, there are still some fish in this lake. They're friendly and tiny, so nothing scary here. There's also a tiny cave/grotto here that you can swim into.
