Sad to see it go, has always been a good walk for my grandparents as it is a walking path which brings us close to nature. The Serene and calm environments is the best take away.

While the East of Singapore has perennial favourite East Coast Park, South has Sentosa, North has the Mandai zoo, Jurong Bird Park was the unique tourist attraction that the Westies were proud of, and could visit easily on weekends.
Being a specialty destination just on birds, it is only in this park that you could:
1. get so close to the parading African penguins,
2. walk in the giant aviary where you could stroll on the boardwalk with the freely roaming blue-crested pigeons,
3. feed the numerous colourful parakeets who ain't shy to feed from your hands,
4. OR even catch a glimpse of the ultra shy and rare cassowary.
5. It also houses Singapore's once-largest indoor waterfall, before the one at Gardens by the Bay and then Jewel Changi took over.
6. Dinosaur nerds would love the exhibit on birds being the descendants of dinosaurs.
7. The three shows were all well performed by the caretakers and birds,
8. and it was awesome to watch the caretakers feeding the baby birds too.
But alas, it is time to pool resources and combine with Mandai, and hopefully the birds would be able to settle and be happier at their new home, ideally with better planned spaces for the birds (especially for the larger birds that need more space), better catered trams for the handicapped, and better F&B options.
Till then (3rd Jan 2023), it's still wonderful to enjoy the park in its last days, with even mini fun fair available near the children's wet playground area.

Nice place to visit with young kids. Our toddler throughly enjoyed the bird park. Specially the high flyer and king of the skies shows. The park is well laid out and birds look well taken care of. Worth a visit for sure.

Highly recommend visiting Jurong Bird Park, especially before they move in early 2023! Our whole family had such a lovely time here earlier this week, including our 6-month baby. It was such a happy experience, enjoying the sights and sounds of the beautiful birds. We spent almost 4 full hours here with breaks included, and we still couldn't see everything but that's alright. We especially loved the African Treetops feeding and penguin feeding. It's a pity we missed the shows this time as the timings didn't match. The tram is really convenient to go around the perimeter, just take note it is 1-way. The staff are all so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Although this park is mainly outdoors, the trees provided ample shade, which made it really pleasant for our baby too. As a bonus, the F&B offered at the cafe was really good too. Last but not least, we had a fun time looking through and buying some of the merchandise in the gift shop, which I'm sure importantly goes towards up-keeping the birds at this park. Thank you so much Jurong Bird Park for letting our family take a final flight there. We will visit the birds again in the new Mandai location one day!

I very much enjoyed visiting here originally about 8 years ago and our Nov 2022 revisit still was mostly pleasing. The current Bird Park is now managed by the same company as runs the Singapore Zoo. Buying a 2 park combo deal thus gives a small discount. The Jurong site is closing within the next 12 months or so and is moving to be a neighbour of the Zoo. The minimal interest in current management in fully maintaining the old Bird Park exhibits is showing. Many of the paths were slippery and need a good pressure clean to make them properly safe. Quiet a few public areas already appeared closed eg the cafe at the Waterfall Aviary, etc.
More seats would have helped around the park.
The birds are mostly still there. The Flamingos were the highlight to us.
Helpful staff still.
Ticketing is now mostly done via a web site; which again in a Covid world may have made some sense but it assumes that you have a working local phone. Foreigners should also download a local taxi app to help them get home from the Bird Park.
till well worth a half a day.

This place I visited some five years ago and given that it is to closed at the end of the year it is looking tired - the Birds I am sure are fine but given the old gages I am sure it is best for everyone that they move into the 21st century and embrace all the new technologies available to them after a 50 year plus stay at their old home.
I hope they keep the old Park however and do not cover it with buildings

Honestly, this park was completely mind-blowing. The first time I went I stayed for 8 hours -- and then I came back for a second day with my husband. It is designed with so much love, and feels like you are on a walk through the most beautiful natural park filled with birds.
We also did the bird's eye tour -- Zih was an incredible guide. We were able to get up close to a Buffy Fish Owl, which was the highlight of our vacation to Singapore.
You can feel how much the staff truly love animals, and the park is a triumph. I cannot recommend visiting enough!!

It's the same what it was a decade ago. Not changed a bit except for little run down, unlike the rest of Singapore. I m sure it will get better with its upcoming new location. It's a sight to visit these birds. Feeding needs to be booked online in advance. Nothing is available on spot. One must plan to see one show at least. Getting a taxi here is a big problem and we waited for 2 hours, before we finally got one. So a private cab, hired in advance for both way transfer would be the best, even if one pays a little extra.

When is Jurong Bird Park moving to Mandai. We hv booked a slot for 27/02/2022
Skrevet 5. januar 2022
Too late for your visit which would be at the Jurong park - but others may read it. Currently the new Mandai bird park is scheduled as late 2022. No precise date has been given yet.
Im planning to visit in early September and simply have no idea if I will get a last visit to Jurong or if I will see the new park.

Is the Bird Park still moving in 2020 to be near the Zoo? Any dates or timeframes on its closure? We're going early 2020 and are hoping it will still be at the old location!
Skrevet 4. november 2019
Updating my previous answer - according to the WRS website (WRS own the Zoo, Night Safari, River Safari and Bird park) - the Bird Park move is now scheduled to 2022, to coincide with the opening of the west arrival node in the Mandai development.
Skrevet 30. november 2020
Yes. It's better if you buy the tickets for the Singapore Zoo, Night and River Safari, Jurong Park and the night shows all at once. Buy it as a package. It runs a little cheaper and you have a few days to finish it all and stay as long as you want. It's worth it. You can buy this package directly from them. Just go to their website.

Hi! I am planning to visit Jurong Bird Park on last week of March with parents.
My only interest is to see Birds (Macaw and flamingos)
May I know the difference between Jurong Bird Park Admission and Jurong Bird Park Tour?
Thanks
Skrevet 18. februar 2019
Basically, the park has admission or entry fee at around 30 SGD, providing access to all areas in park. The standard ticket excludes the train ride inside park. However tickets can also be purchased including the tram rides. Tickets can be booked beforehand online or can be bought at location.
Now as you wish to focus only on birds, as a bird enthusiast myself, I highly recommended to visit the Wings of Asia section and the bird feeding session at Pelican cove. Enjoy your visit !!

Hello there! I'm bringing my kids to the Jurong Bird Park soon. May I ask how do the attractions at the Birds Of Prey and the Hawk Arena differ? :)
Skrevet 14. februar 2019
Both are interesting & worth seeing. For kids the birds show at Pools Amphitheatre will be a hit.

Is it ok to visit on a rainy day. Looks like it is raining in Singapore this week.
If visit on a rainy day, are umbrella's enough and any other tips/suggestions.
Skrevet 8. oktober 2018
Hi! we were there in Singapore for seven days and there was a forecast of rain for every day but it did not rain at all on five days. On other two days it was just a drizzle. So you can be hopeful. If it just a little drizzle, umbrellas will suffice, if there is a kid with u, pack a rain coat. but the park is completely outdoors and the shows too. reach early because normally it rains in late afternoon.
