Bring lots of water. Be prepared to sweat. Easy to get to. Lots of trains and buses to location. Go early and on a weekday. Be ready for the heat.

The treetop walk is closed. We did not know this but had a good walk on the trails.
Would be nice if there are signs indicating that the tree top walk is closed.

I was here in early April before the lockdown started as part of a long trek through the MacRitchie Nature Reserve. We came in the late afternoon and there weren't too many other people around, so that was a good thing. Nice views out over the jungle.

This was a great view and a relaxing way to spend a morning after a late night. We enjoyed the views and getting outside for some movement. We did not realize that it was a 4 mile walk round trip. Had we known it was that long we would have worn better shoes. Besides the slightly longer than expected walk, it was wonderful!

A good three-hour rainforest experience. Parking easy on a Sunday morning at Venus Drive. Total round trip was 7km over boardwalk and dirt paths. Some elevation but generally flat. Generally well maintained. Toilet areas at the car park and also at a ranger station around midway. No obvious water points to take a good supply.
The only issue was that the suspension bridge on the treetop walk has a listed capacity of 30, and there were up to 100 on there, due to people blocking the exit whilst watching a flying fox. This is an obvious safety issue that needs addressing.

The Tree Top Walk is perhaps the most beautiful view of green space in Singapore. The bridge is high enough for many trees around. The look of the ground below is dark or green most of the times.
It's a one way walk and takes around 15 minutes. You will definitely want to spend more time here.
Tip: carry mosquito spray and wear shoes with good grip.
There are around 200 steps going up and down to come out. So be physically fit.

The treetop walk is perhaps the most well-known in the Central Water Catchment and MacRitchie Reservoir area, but it's part of a (relatively) extensive network of easy-moderate trails. I can't recommend this area enough, especially for nature lovers! I've enjoyed seeing the cityscapes of Singapore but I also love being able to enjoy the natural side of things. The trails are impeccably maintained and well-signed, very easy for anyone to follow. Don't miss this area on your trip to Singapore!

Hi! Is the treetop walk open now (Aug 2020)? Worried that the operating hours might be affected by the pandemic.
How to reach their from orchard
Benjamin Ho
Singapore, Singapore326 bidrag
Along Orchard Road there are two bus services (162/162M, and 167) that go toward Tree Top Walk.
You can take these buses from the stops outside Dhoby Ghaut Station Exit B, Winsland House, Somerset Station, Opposite Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya), Opposite Orchard Station/ Ion, or Royal Plaza on Scotts.
If you take 162/162M, you should alight just before Windsor Park Road. Walk along the pavement and past the Petrol Station until you reach a traffic light. At the junction, turn left and walk down the slope. You'll reach shortly.
If you take 167, alight at the next stop (Opposite Flame Tree Park Condo) after Windsor Park Road. Walk backward until you reach the traffic junction. Turn right down the pavement and walk toward the entrance to the trail.

Hi, are the walks buggy friendly?
Benjamin Ho
Singapore, Singapore326 bidrag
No, the trail is not buggy friendly. There are various types of terrain, and even long flights of stairs. Hence if you're going to the tree-top walk, it would not be advisable.
If you leave your buggy somewhere along the trail to pick up later, it might have already become a playground for the monkeys.
Hi today holiday is open august 12 2019?? We want to double check if open thank you.

Hi the daily operating hours are from 7.30am to 4.30pm (last entry).
The Treetop Walk is usually closed on Mondays unless the public holiday falls on a Monday.

Hi arameydesai
Would do it with my parents 70+ but not with my parents in-law 70+ !
Easy 3-4 hour loop. Walk is typical Singapore safe and sound but especially after the bridge (one-way loop) there is a lot of stair to climb and then when you reach the top the same amount to descend.
At the ranger hut before the bridge they have toilets and water refill station.
Of rainy/wet would avoid.
Has anyone tried both this and the southern ridges trail? which one is better?
Benjamin Ho
Singapore, Singapore326 bidrag
No, the HSBC Treetop Trail is not part of the southern ridges trail.

We don't have a car and were thinking of getting a taxi in - I am wondering what the likelihood is of getting a return taxi - do you think we can call one and they will come to the finishing point? This is important as we fly out late the day we are thinking of going.
There seems to be a couple of exits - would one be better than the other.

Hi. I am not sure if a taxi would come to the finishing point of the treetop walk. But I myself took a Grab from one of the exits (Along the main road) and it arrived in 15/20 minutes. However, bear in mind that after the Treetop walk itself ends, there is still an hour or so of walking to the nearest exit where you can call a taxi.

Where is the best place to start the walk ? And can you do a loop or do you have to do walk back to the start ?
thanks

Hi, if you want to get there fastest, the Venus Drive entrance is the best and easiest route to access it. Anything else you wana know, feel free to ask.

Thank you for the excellent information on the Treetop Walk. Do you know if you can enter the golf course by taxi and pick up the trail to the Treetop Walk that would be shorter? Thank you.

Non-members are not allowed to enter by the SICC if you are starting by Venus Drive.
If you're going by Lornie Road, you won't be allowed to enter by that entrance either.
