Een leuke open sfeer, toegankelijke mensen en echt lekkere muziek waarop je het betere uit jezelf kunt halen. Er zijn ook goede dansers te vinden. Ik kwam daar alleen binnen maar heb me geen seconde verveeld. Leuke locatie. Aanrader!

As a woman who loves to dance, I was excited to discover the Salsoteca, a popular dance bar in Quito specializing in tropical music like salsa, merengue, and bachata. I'd heard great things about this place and was eager to see what all the fuss was about.
As soon as I arrived, I felt at ease. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was lively and energetic. The music was fantastic, and I found myself tapping my feet and swaying to the rhythm even before I hit the dance floor.
One of the things I loved about the Salsoteca was how respectful the dancers were. As a woman, I often worry about unwanted attention when dancing. But at the Salsoteca, the dancers were polite and only asked me to dance if I was interested. It made for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The dance floor was packed all night, and I had an absolute blast dancing with the friendly locals and other visitors. The DJ played a great mix of hits, keeping the crowd moving and grooving until the early hours.
What's more, the Salsoteca was incredibly affordable. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the cover charge was very cheap. It's a well-known spot in Quito for a reason.
Overall, I had a fantastic time at the Salsoteca. It's a fun and safe place to enjoy tropical music and dance the night away. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lively and enjoyable night out.

I had a good time dancing salsa at Lavoe. I went as a solo female salsera and I felt completely safe and got quite a few good dances in. It's a good mix of salsa and bachata. One thing: previous reviews said that they are open for classes and dancing on Tuesdays but I checked and as of July 2022 it seems like they only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so make sure to double check their FB or website. The area right outside is a little dark and empty but the bouncers kindly waited for a taxi with me. They have dancing taxis (leads whose job is to ask follows to dance) which was nice! I had gotten to Quito the day before and the altitude actually got to me a little bit which was surprising and humbling :)

The Salsoteca Lavoe nightclub is located at Av. Naciones Unidas E2-17 and Inaquito, Quito 170150.
When I visited this place I found it fantastic, because the people were very happy and also the place was very nice and pleasant for me and my friends. That night we had a lot of fun, because it was my best friend's birthday. Also the entrance was cheap, the drinks were at reasonable prices, and the track was very beautiful, we all enjoyed it a lot, because we had a very fun and relaxed evening.
I recommend this place because it is a spacious, clean and cool place. Where you can be calm, safe and full of friends, there are also very delicious drinks for example: sweet cocktails and there is also a very big and beautiful dance floor.
Visit this place a couple of times and had a blast. The only problem is that the bathrooms are very small and I did not like it very much, because it is uncomfortable when there are several people in the same place, although it does not matter much at that time. It is a very busy and safe place to go out at any time.

We absolutely loved this place. We were on the hunt for a true Salsa and Bachata spot in Quito and this was recommended to us by a bunch of locals. There was a covercharge of $5 which is the same at all discotecas in Quito. We checked our coats and purses at the very secure coat check. Drinks were way too expensive, ridiculously so, so we didn't buy any. But the dancing was phenomenal. We got there after the lessons, unintentionally, but we have danced salsa before so we just needed some reminding. As two white females, our experience was that people would come up and ask us to dance at least every other song, which is what we have experienced at all other Salsa spots in Ecuador and Peru, and what is typical of the culture (in terms of men coming to women and asking them to dance). The people we danced with ranged greatly in experience and talent, however, there were some really wonderful dancers. The live band started at midnight, which we stayed for a little bit, then headed out.

Excelente lugar, buen ambiente y buenos bailadores, lo unico que les hace quedar mal es el DJ negrito que trabaja ahí , bastante arrogante y muy maleducado

El lugar está bien pero la atención es pésima. Demuestra esta cultura de atención al cliente de Quito donde el/la Bartender y los que limpian se creen súper estrellas 😂😂
Mi amiga quiso una canción y el DJ le dijo que cuesta 3000 dólares de una forma muy despectiva.
Botaron mis shots y se llevaron la cerveza llena de mi amigo y al preguntar nos respondieron bien feo.
Los precios a mi forma de ver son altos.
Una cerveza 300ml 4.50 USD
Un shot de tequila. 7. 00 USD
En conclusión la mejor forma de divertirte en el lugar es no consumir, así evitas a estas personas y te concentras en la música 💃🏻 🕺🏻

El fin de semana visite la salsoteca y tenía mayores expectativas sobre la salsoteca. La atención muy buena, el lugar muy bonito, amplio. Lo único que podría decir de malo es que para ser perfecto la música podría ser más variada, no se si tal vez ese día no había mucha variedad.

Ubicación, ambiente, buena música, y gente divertida que sabe a qué se va a una salsoteca hacen de este lugar una excelente opción para salir a farrear.
La entrada es barata, los tragos están a precios razonables, y ver a tanta gente que baila tan bonito intimida pero hay que dejar el bochorno a un lado y lanzarse a la pista, y disfrutar, y mirar, y admirar y sobre todo aprender.
Mi lugar favorito de Quito pienso volver tantas veces como mis pies aguanten...

If you like to listen and dance to Latin music, especially salsa, this is the place to be. Open from Tuesday to Saturday, with a live band on Friday nights and dance performances on Saturdays, you can't go wrong. I've been there on a Thursday night and on several Friday and Saturday nights. Large and spacious, with a very good sound system. This place has boldly invested in the music and culture that they love. The value one's get for the minimum cost of the cover and drinks is fantastic. I usually spent more in transport to get there from where I stayed in Quito, than I actually spent at the club.
